Abstract

Mathematics is a science that requires good literacy skills in order to be able to solve problems that exist in everyday life. PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) is one of the efforts to improve mathematical literacy skills aimed at 15 year old students. One of the PISA content that is closely related to everyday life is social content. This study aims to conduct a small group of PISA questions that have been generated in previous studies. The method used is a research and development method. The focus of this research is the small group stage which is tested on two groups of students, each consisting of 3 people, with each student having a different level of thinking ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic by using a variety of learning applications. This research is a case study and is also a descriptive or qualitative research. The number of samples taken was 100 respondents (students). Then the data were analyzed using Likert scale analysis, and the results of the Likert scale analysis stated that most students (18 students or 18%) online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic using a variety of learning applications was very effective and (47 respondents or 47%) stated online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic using a variety of effective learning applications. So it can also be said that online learning using a variety of applications that are expected to prevent transmission and break the chain of spread of Covid-19 is at an effective level. Even though online learning using various applications in the Covid-19 pandemic conditions has been effective, 49 students or (49%) hope that learning can be carried out with (Blended), namely a combination of online and face-to-face learning.

Abstract

This study was to determine the obstacles experienced by students, mathematics teachers and leadership elements of SMA YWKA Kertapati Palembang in carrying out online and offline during the covid -19 pandemic in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, with mathematics teachers, homeroom teachers, and vice principals in the field of curriculum, as well as students as respondents. The instrument in collecting research data uses: (1) 4-question essay test, to determine learning outcomes of online learning implementation and students' ability to solve equations and quadratic functions, online or offline, (2) Interviews, (3) Questionnaires given to respondents online via google form. Interviews were conducted with the vice principal in the field of curriculum, homeroom teachers, mathematics teachers and 12 students. The results obtained from the ability test to solve questions with an average value of 70.03. The results obtained based on interviews with school leaders and homeroom teachers are that the online implementation has been carried out, but it is still not optimal because there are students who do not have Android phones. The results of interviews with teachers for implementing learning also stated that online was already running, but teachers still had to come to school to serve students who did not have mobile phones. Then for the student questionnaire, it was found that online learning was fun even though there were still obstacles.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking ability is one of the objectives of learning mathematics. This ability is a provision for students in dealing with problems. The importance of this ability is not in line with the abilities of junior high school students in the current distance learning conditions, for this reason this study examines the effectiveness of the Open Ended approach in terms of the mathematical critical thinking abilities of eighth grade students in odd semesters of SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental research, with a population of all students of class VIII Odd Semester SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. The sample of 2 classes, namely class VIII 1 as the experimental class, and class VIII 3 as the control class, were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Students' mathematical critical thinking ability is measured by a test in the form of an essay as many as 5 questions which have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of hypothesis testing show the value of thitung = 7.35. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that ttabel = t(1-α) = 1.67. This means that thitung > ttabel, so it can be concluded that the application of the Open Ended approach is effective in terms of the mathematical critical thinking skills of class VIII students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Co-Op Co-Op learning model on students' mathematical communication skills. This research is a quantitative research with an experimental method and uses a Pre-Experimental design in the form of a Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all class VIII SMP Perintis 1 Bandar Lampung which consisted of 77 students. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class VIII.1 as the experimental class with 27 students and class VIII.2 as the control class with 25 students. Based on hypothesis testing, it is obtained that students' mathematical communication skills with the Co-Op Co-Op model are higher than conventional learning. From the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that learning begins with a question learning model that has a positive effect on mathematical communication skills of class VIII students in odd semesters. Pioneer 1 Junior High School Bandar Lampung for the academic year 2021.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research. This study aims todetermine the effectiveness of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type ofcooperative learning model in terms of students' mathematical communicationskills using a posttest-only control-group design. The population in this study wereall students of class VIII SMP Tri Sukses Natar in the academic year 2021/2022.The sample in this study were students of class VIIIB and VIIIC determined bypurposive sampling technique. The data in this study are quantitative data onstudents' mathematical communication skills obtained through tests of students'mathematical communication skills with questions in the form of descriptions. Theresults obtained are the average mathematical communication ability in theexperimental class is 75.46, while in the experimental class is 63.43. Theachievement of indicators of students' mathematical communication skills in theexperimental class was 74.57%, while in the control class it was 62.65%. Based onthe results and discussion, it was concluded that the TGT type of cooperativelearning model was effective in terms of the mathematical communication skills ofeighth grade students of SMP Tri Sukses Natar in the odd semester of the 2021/2022academic year

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research which aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling, it was found that class VIIA was the experimental class and class VIIB was the conventional class. The instrument used in this study was an essay question to measure students' mathematical communication skills. Before the instrument test is used, the validity, reliability, level of difficulty and also the discriminatory power of the questions are tested. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test because it met the requirements for the data to be normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share type affects the communication skills of students.

Abstract

The problem behind this research is the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics in class V SD IT Khairul Ummah Bandar Lampung and the lack of activeness of students in the learning process. These problems arise due to several factors, including learning that has not fully activated students. In connection with the above problems, this study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students by applying the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). This Classroom Action Research consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was conducted at SD IT Khairul Ummah Bandar Lampung with the research subject being class V with a total of 35 students. The results showed that the application of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type of cooperative learning model could improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This is indicated by the increase in the percentage of student learning completeness, namely at the time of pre-action by 31%, increasing to 57% in the first cycle, then increasing again in the second cycle to 80%. This result exceeds the established research success indicator, which is 75%. In addition, from the observation data obtained before the action was given, the students looked less active in learning activities and learning activities were not yet centered on students. After being given the action, the students looked active both during question and answer activities and during group activities. Thus, in each cycle there is an increase and it can be concluded that the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD IT Khairul Ummah Bandar Lampung for the 2021/2022 school year.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Prosedur penelitian meliputi 2 siklus, terdiri atas 4 tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siklus I pertemuan 1 nilai rata-rata 48,24, siklus I pertemuan 2 68,24, siklus II pertemuan 1 rata-rata 76,47 dan siklus II pertemuan 2 menjadi 87,06. Ketuntasan klasikal pada pertemuan 2 siklus sebesar 94,12 % dari indikator yang diharapkan 80% siswa tuntas.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the common mathematical problem-solving ability of class XII MIPA students at SMAN 1 Lubuklinggau. Problem-solving at school is an ability that must be mastered so that students can lead to understanding mathematics. This study aims to determine (1) the mathematical problem-solving skills of students participating in Edmodo-based online learning and (2) the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities after being treated with Edmodo-based online learning. 2020/2021 with a total of 36 students. Classroom Action Research Procedures was carried out through four stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. Research data was collected by test and observation techniques. Data analysis was carried out by comparing test results and observation data with the formulated indicators of success. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that, Edmodo-based online learning can improve the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class XII MIPA 7 students of SMA Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau. The average value of mathematical problem-solving abilities from the first cycle of 62.2 increased in the second cycle to 77.3. The percentage of learning completeness also increased from the process I by 52.8% and in cycle II by 80.6%. The rate of students' mathematical problem-solving ability increased after being given action was 23.67%. The interpretation of students' problem-solving abilities in the material on Limits of Trigonometry Functions after being given an Edmodo-based online learning activity is included in the good category.
