Abstract

Maritime development effort can not be separated from the development of strategic environments that include the supporting economic environment both on a regional scale, national, even at the global level. The aim of this study is (1) mapping out the opportunities and threats of the maritime sector in Indonesia based on the dynamics of the domestic and global environment, and (2) to formulate the maritime development policy strategy within the framework of national investment development. The method used is SWOT analysis. The results of the study indicate that opportunities that can be utilized for the benefit of domestic development can be seen from the potential of marine in the territory of Indonesia. The threat of the maritime sector comes from internal and external. The internal factors of inequality and disparity gap of development. The external factors threats are border disputes and lack of law enforcement, defense and security controls in border areas. The recommended policy suggested that government needs to do maritime-oriented development, connectivity through strengthening logistics and marine economy, economic development about prosperity approach and security, controlling related with the nation's authority and maritime, and reorientation of development towards maritime development with the achievement of planting more progressive capital.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pedagogic competencies possessed by PAI Teachers and to find out how the development of pedagogical competencies in Islamic Education Teachers in Central Cikarang 1 High School. This research uses qualitative research methods using descriptive research formats. Based on the results of the study, it is known that, the SMA 1 Cikarang Pusat High School has carried out development efforts to improve the pedagogic competencies of Islamic Education Teachers, namely through education and training, conducting scientific writing and developing independently by Islamic Religious Education Teachers. The development effort has had a positive impact on improving the pedagogical competence of Islamic Education Teachers. Based on the research conducted, it is known that qualified human resources (Teachers) are a major supporter of the success of development in Central Cikarang 1 High School.

Abstract

Effect of Individual Characteristics and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance at Mulya Mitra College. The existence of humans as resources is very important in an educational institution, because human resources are a support that is realized through work, talent, creativity, encouragement and real role. Without the quality of human resources, the educational institution would not be able to move and achieve the vision it wants. Factors affecting employee performance are Individual Characteristics and Organizational Culture. The purpose of this study is to look for empirical evidence of the influence of Individual Characteristics and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance at Mulya Mitra College. This type of research uses census methods that discuss the effect of Individual Characteristics and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance. The study population was employees at Mulya Mitra College. The sampling method uses stratified-proportional random sampling with the number of samples taken from the total population of 40 people. Methods of data analysis using descriptive and statistical analysis techniques include multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing with simultaneous test or F test, hypothesis testing with partial test or t-test and analysis of the coefficient of multiple determination. The results of the study concluded that Individual Characteristics and Organizational Culture simultaneously had a significant positive effect on performance. This is indicated by the p-value of all the independent variables 0.05. Individual characteristics and organizational culture partially also have a significant positive effect on performance. This is indicated by p-value 0.05.

Abstract

The influence of service and promotion of marketing mix toward the decision of participants in joining vocational training at Balai Latihan Kerja Lembang. The research aimed to find out the influence of servicet and promotion of Marketing Mix toward the decision of participants in joining vocational training at BLK Lembang. Research method used in this research was associative and qualitative method. The research provided primary data. The data collection technique used in this research ware library research and field research such as observation and questionnaire. Methods of data analysis used by the researcher were classic assumption test that includes validity test and reliability as well as hypothesis test consisting of partial test and simultaneous test. The research found that servicet and promotion of marketing mix give great influence toward decision of participants in joining vocational training. According analysis process recognized that there was strong and positive correlation marked by score r=0.897 and R2= 0,805. It showed that servicet and promotion of marketing mix influenced the decision of participants in joining vocational training in the amount of 80,5%. Besides, the remaining result of 19,5% was influenced by the certain factor that was not analysed in this research.The research was expected to give advantages toward BLK Lembang in improving its service servicet in order to maintain the quality of training service servicet in BLK Lembang that has been well accepted by training participants. In improving its service training servicet, BLK Lembang should enhance its service training based on public’s demand and increase promotional effort to let the participant know that BLK Lembang provides free training program.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of (1) advertising media on purchase decision matic brand Honda motorcycles at Faculty of Economics, University of Padang, (2) sales promotion on purchase decision matic brand Honda motorcycles at Faculty of Economics, University of Padang, (3) media advertising and sales promotion on purchase decision matic brand Honda motorcycles at Faculty of Economics, University of Padang. This type of research is to be causative by using purposive sampling techniq with a sample of 97 collect students. The results shows that (1) advertising media significantly influence the purchase decision matic brand Honda motorcycles at Faculty of Economics, University of Padang, (2) sales promotion significantly influence the purchase decision matic brand Honda motorcycles at Faculty of Economics, University of Padang, (3) advertising media and sales promotion together significantly influence the purchase decision matic brand Honda motorcycles at Faculty of Economics, University of Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) Effect of Education Level on Labor Productivity in West Sumatera 2) Effect of Health Level on Labor Productivity in West Sumatera 3) Influence together education level and level of health to Labor productivity in West Sumatra. The type of this research is descriptive and associative. The type of data used pooling or panel. Data analysis techniques, namely descriptive and inductive analysis. Inductive analysis includes 1) Hausman Test 2) Chow-Test 3) Analysis of Panel Regression Model, selected result on REM. To see the significance of the effect of independent variables on dependent variable used 1) Test t and 2) Test F with 5% real level. The results of the research are (1) Educational level has a significant and positive effect on labor productivity in West Sumatra. with value (prob = 0.0000 á = 0,05), (2) Health level have a significant and positive effect to labor productivity in West Sumatera (prob = 0.0000 á = 0,05).

Abstract

The method of research conducted by surveying 100 respondents from a population of 100 Polpulasi with a structured method using questionnaire instruments using the Likert measurement scale, analysis techniques and using classical tests, multiple regression, and the results of research simultaneously and in parallel shows the influence of motivation and discipline on employee performance. There is a significant effect of Motivation on Member Performance in the SPKT Section of KORPS POLAIRUD Baharkam Polri, this is obtained by t table: tcount 1.884 ttable 1.658, and R² of 0.364 (36.40%). There is a significant influence of discipline on the Performance of Members in the SPKT Korpolairud Section Baharkam Baharkam Polri, this is obtained by t table: tcount 7.333 t table 1.658, and R² of 0.364 (36.40%).From the results of statistical calculations can be explained. R value of 0.603 and Squere R value (r determinant) of 0.364 gives the meaning that the motivation variable and discipline variable on employee performance has an effect of 36.40% on the performance variable. Meanwhile, the remaining 63.60 ^% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This research tries to analyze how individual character and learning environment, in the form of advanced study of the knowledge of diploma program owned into the knowledge of one strata of Management, have an effect on career owned by employees. The research was conducted in one of Jakarta’s top business univercity. The results showed that individual characters have a significant effect on career improvement. This is evidenced also by the statement of employees who become respondents that the purpose of continuing studies such as to develop a career, in addition to job demands, and as a means of adding knowledge. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline on the performance of employees of PT Bhumyamca Sekawan Jakarta, the variable studied is work discipline on employee performance. This research uses descriptive research method with quantitative approach. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 140 employees. The results of the study showed a significant influence of work discipline on the performance of theemployees of PT Bhumyamca Sekawan Jakarta. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing the work discipline variable (X) to the employee performance variable (Y), the results of this study obtained the value of t arithmetic (22,935) ttable (1,665) then it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning Work discipline (X ) partially significant effect on employee performance (Y). The results of linear regression analysis obtained the value of the linear regression equation Y = 7.354 + 0.890 X The constant value of 7.354 states that if the independent variable (X) = 0 then the dependent variable (Y) is 7.354. Work Discipline regression coefficient (X) of 0.890 which means that the addition or increase (X) of 1 unit will increase Employee Performance (Y) of 0.890. R Square value (Determination Coefficient) obtained by 0.792, which means the influence of work Discipline variable (X) on Employee Performance (Y) of 79.2%. The remaining 20.8% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the effect of the reward, the quality of work life and job satisfaction on lecturer organizational citizenship behavior Polytechnic Naval Postgraduate School and the Naval Command and Staff Colledge Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey method. Samples of this study were 77 lecturers with selected randomly. It can be concluded that: (1) the reward has a direct influence on the organizational citizenship behavior lecturer, (2) the quality of working life has a direct influence on the behavior of organizational citizenship lecturers, (3) job satisfaction has a direct influence on the behavior of organizational citizenship lecturers, (4) reward has a direct influence on job satisfaction lecturer, and (5) the quality of work life has a direct influence on job satisfaction of teachers, and (6) the reward has a direct influence on the quality of work life lecturers. Therefore, to improve organizational citizenship behavior lecturer, reward, quality of work life and job satisfaction should be improved.
