Papers can be written in Bahasa or English. This journal serves as a forum for the international community to discuss and present the research as well as facilitate discussion of new methodologies or research techniques in the fields of economics and tourism. The Journal of Tourism and Economics continues to develop various sub-themes related to economics (including accounting and management) and tourism (including culture). Journal scope is international and includes research on aspects of economic studies and tourism issues. This journal also provides opportunities for researchers and scholars from various disciplines of science who have new views and ideas to share with other academics, especially in matters that focus on tourism, culture and economic studies. All papers will be followed up and reviewed by the research community before publication.

Abstract

The most popular technological and communication development innovations today are electronic payments without cash. GOPAY from PT Karya Anak Bangsa (GO-JEK) is the most widely used electronic payment in Indonesia. Yu Cha Indonesia is working with GOPAY to advance its business. There is currently a 20% GOPAY cashback promotion to attract more consumers. This study aims to look at the effect of the promotion of GOPAY (cashback) on the interest in buying bubble drinks at Yu Cha Indonesia. This research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to 99 respondents. Statistical analysis such as validation test, reliability test, normality test, and hypothesis test have been used. Data validation shows that all data is valid. Reliability tests are also reliable because the coefficient scores exceed Cronbach Alpha. The results of the r-score analysis are 0.707 which means that the two variables have a strong relationship. The r-square result is 0.499 and it can be concluded that the GOPAY cashback promotion affects product quality by 49.9% and the rest is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. The results of this study show the positive and significant effect of the GOPAY (cashback) promotion program on consumer buying interest. Based on research results, the GOPAY promotion program (cashback) has a 49.9% effect on consumer buying interest.

Abstract

This study aims to find out supporting activities that arise with the use of the ancient Nglanggeran volcano landscape in the Nglanggeran Village. Nglanggeran tourism village in Yogyakarta has a variety of supporting tourism potential attractions that arises due to the construction of an artificial pond or reservoir. This reservoir is the main capital for the local community to create supporting attractions which are a major complement to the ancient volcanic landscape of Nglanggeran. The emergence of these supporting attractions subsequently becomes a source of profit for the community and especially tourism activities in the region.

Abstract

This study aims: (1) to determine the role of staf salesin the implementation of the mingle at Lafayette Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta, and (2) to determine the description of the implementation of the mingle at Lafayette Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, by collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation. Data retrieval of data was carried out in December 2018-February 2019. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman which included data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions / verification. The results showed that the mingle activity can be used as a direct evaluation of guests as a measure of the level of guest satisfaction related to the income that the hotel will receive as income. In mingle activities, staf saleshave a role in communicating with guests to build relationships, inform Direct Booking guests of Online Travel Agents, report to All Departments, and Maintain operations. Lafayette Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta has implemented a scheduled and structured mingle by adjusting the number of staff that has been approved by the Director of Sales, which is every day at the restaurant at breakfast time, starting at 09.00 to 10:00 am includes 3 activities namely recording the guest database as a marketing system, offering Experience Of French, and retarget guests.

Abstract

The village is a legal community unit that has territorial boundaries that are authorized to regulate and manage the interests of the local community based on local origins and customs that are recognized and respected in the system of Government of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (Undang undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2004). The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the Community Efforts in Penglipuran Tourism Village in implementing Sapta Pesona. The synergy between the community, government and other parties makes this Penglipuran village make this village the title of the cleanest village in the world. This predicate was given by TripAdvisor in 2016. This proves that the people in Penglipuran Tourism Village run Sapta Pesona well.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the right strategy in managing the Mahakam River tourist destinations in an ecotourism. This is because the Mahakam River has the potential to be managed ecotourically, because in addition to nature tourism on the Mahakam River there are also dolphins, which are endemic animals of the Mahakam River which are currently small in number and included in the category of endangered animals. This research is a qualitative research with non probability sampling technique, then the data obtained are analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study obtained several strategies that can be applied in the Mahakam River tourist destination to be managed ecotourism. These strategies include (1) conducting training on ecotourism for HR managing the Mahakam River, (2) minimizing the use of ships that produce a lot of air pollution, (3) organizing HR training for waste management, particularly in tourist sites and surroundings, (4) making the Mahakam River a conservation place for dolphins, (5) educating all parties, both managers and tourists, to care for the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the influence of traditional game media on the science process skills of children tourist in Pampang Gunungkidul Yogyakarta ecotourism village and (2) the influence of traditional game media on the social skills of children tourist in the Pampang Gunungkidul Yogyakarta ecotourism village. Research type used in this study is Research and Development. The data collection methods in this study used test, observation, documentation and also interviews. The test methods used in this study pre-test and post test in the form of multiple choice. The conclusions of this study are 1) learning media in the form of traditional games have an influence on science process skills. This is based on the t test carried out on the pre-test and post test data which shows that the velue of t table is 2.04841 while t arichmetic is -14.748. These result indicate that the value  of t table is greater t arithmetic thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence on social skills. This can be seen from the results of the social skills observation which show that tourist who have high social skills have a frequency of 16 people while tourists children who have low social skills have a frequency of 14 people.

Abstract

A research about the Development of Ecotourism Baros Mangrove Forest, Titihargo, Kretek, Bantul, has been carried in 2019. Baros Mangrove Forest Ecotourism Area, a tourist destination which was pioneered since 2003 by an NGO and local community. At present the management is carried out by local people from the elements of several Working Groups in Tirtohargo who joined KP2B (Baros Youth Group). This research uses a qualitative method whose technical implementation is carried out by literature review, interview and observation. The type of data obtained are primary data and secondary data. The observed variables are biogeophysical, socioeconomic and human resources. The results of the study show the Baros Manggrove Forest Area as a tourist destination has not maximized its management with the principle of ecotourism. Baros Mangrove Forest Ecotourism Development has a positive impact on the surrounding community. KP2B as the manager develops the Baros Mangrove Forest Area as an ecotourism with four activities namely conservation, education, social and economy.
