Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the infectious disease remains a health problem in the world. Phenomena that occur in society today that so many family members and friends of patients suspected or who have suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis do not want to adjacent and also talk to the patient. It would be highly offensive to people. This will have an impact on the psychological condition of patients with TB. All of these things will affect the success of treatment and then further degrade the quality of life of patients. This study aims to analyze the relationship of social support and quality of life in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. This study used cross sectional analytic method. The population was 33 patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis in Puskesmas Jombang Kesamben and sample using simple random sampling with 30 respondents. The variables of this study was the independent variable and the dependent variable social support quality of life. Data processing using the editing, coding, scoring and tabulating. The relation between those two variables used test of “Spearman Rank” with an error level 5%. The research results were relation social support with quality of life in patients with Pulmonary tuberculosis in Puskesmas Kesamben. The writer found the medium social support was total 15 respondence (50%) while, many part from respondence belong to medium quality of live was total 16 respondence (53,4%). Based on the results of this study concluded that there was a relationship social support with quality of life in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Puskesmas Kesamben, Jombang p>0,05.

Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a disease that often strikes at the age of 35 years and over, which caused due to the reduced flexibility of cartilage pads and reduced production of synovial fluid, it can cause pain in the joints, to reduce pain can do cupping therapy. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether there’s change or not of joint pain changes with the method of cupping therapy. Research design used was pre-experimental with one group pretest-postest design method, the population was all elderly with rheumatoid arthritis i.e 24 respondents, large sample was 24 respondents, the method used in taking sample was by total sampling, the variable in this research were there’s independent varible that’s cupping therapy and the dependent variable was elderly with rheumatoid arthritis. The instrument in this research used observation sheet, the next being conducted data collecting then data processing which consist of editing, coding, scoring and tabulating, data analyzing used test of paired T-test. Before giving therapy there were 12 elderly with moderate pain, after giving therapy, moderate pain on elderly increased to15 it’s caused heavy pain which experienced by respondent reduced to be moderate pain. From the result of SPSS with test of t-test obtained that value of P = 0,000 which smaller than alpha (0,05), so H0 rejected H1 accepted. It means that there is an effect of giving cupping therapy to pain joint changes on elderly with rheumatoid arthritis. So it can be concluded there is a significant effect before and after given cupping therapy, from this result the researcher argues that effective cupping can relieve pain due to rheumatoid arthritis.

Abstract

Livelines is frequency in visiting upon activity Posyandu in range of time one year.The purpose of this research was to know the relationship of family support with elderly liveline to come to elderly Posyandu in village of Plandaan Jombang. This research design used was analitic approach crossectional. The population of this research were the entire elderly in village of Plandaan as many as 120 people when this research was conducted. Sample of this research were 30 respondents. Sampling technique used was simple random sampling. IndependentVariabel was family support and the elderly liveliness was dependent variabel. The Instruments was a questionare.Statistical test use the Spearman Rho. The result known that the family support is in a good category is as big as 60% , big enough is 40%, while for elderly liveline is in a high category as long as 53,3%, and low category is 46,7%. Based on statistical test was obtained ρ value = 0,00, ρ< α, (α: 0,05), it means H1 accepted. The conclusion that there is the relation of family support with elderly livelines to come to elderly Posyandu in village of Plandaan Jombang.

Abstract

Homosexuality is a sexual orientation that is often difficult to be accepted by the general public because of different sexual orientation pedominantly heterosexual society, this inducing a sense of discrimination and less favorable circumstances. British statistics agency recordered a 90% homosexual population live and work in urban areas of tolerance. Social behaviour unpleasant toward homosexuals impacts that created the conditions in which they don’t received, unappreciated, not recognized, either by family, friends, and society which will make them under pressure. It effects the self-concept homosexual. One of the factors that have an important role in the concept of self homosexual is social support. Social support is definied as a comfort, attention and assistence awards are perceived someone from another person or group. Based on this background, The purpose of this study is to know the effect of the relation of social support to the concept of sel hosexual in Sidoarjo. This research is a type of quantitative. The sample study population consisted of 32 people who had been using of simple random sampling design. The independent variable of this study is social support and the dependent variable of this study is the concept of self homosexual in the LGBT community’s of Sidoarjo.retrival of data using questionaires instrument. While data analysis techniques using Spearman rank test. The result showed that the majoryty of respondens 62,5% have a good social support. And have a positif self concept as much as 71,85%. Spearman rank test of 2 variables are obtained score of ρ = 0.000. The conclusion from this study is that there is a significant relationship between social support and self-concept homosexual. Social support is an important role in the formation of self-concept homosexual.

Abstract

Progressive muscle relaxation technique exercises is a non-pharmacological treatment which one of the usesto lower or reduces pain (rheumatism) arthritis reumatoid on elderly. The purpose of this research was toanalyze the effent of Progressive muscle relaxation technique exercises Against Rheumatoid Arthritis PainIntensity on elderly. This research design used was one group pre-post test design. The populastion in thisresearch was all elderly who live in the Darus Syifa Jombang and suffer arthritis reumatoid. Samplingtechnique used was total sampling (sampling saturated) with the sample as many as 17 respondents. Theindependents variable was progressive muscle relaxation technique exercises while the dependent variablewas Pain Intensity. The instruments in this research used SOP (Standart Operarational Procedure) forrelaxation techniques and the observation sheet to overview level pain scale before and after treatmentrelaxation techniques. With data processing by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and statistic test usedwilcoxon. Based on results of the research that’s respondents before got before getting treatment experiencedpain intensity majority as many as 8 (47,1%) and after getting treatment experienced most of respondentssuffered mild pain intensity as many as 9 (52,9%). Based on test of Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test obtained valueof ρ = 0,000, ρ< α, (0,000 < 0,005), it means that H1 accepted. The conclusion in this research is thatthere’s effect of Progressive muscle relaxation technique exercises Against Rheumatoid Arthritis PainIntensity on elderly in the Darus Syifa foundation Jombang. The researcher argue that there’s positive effectin treatment of progressive muscle relaxation technique training Against Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain Intensityon elderly.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is metabolic and degenerative disease that is currently so feared by many people. DiabetesMellitus is on of non-communicable diseases which has become a public health problem, no only in Indonesia butalso in the world. The purposes of this research was to know the relationship of family support with preventivebehavior of Diabetes Mellitus in the village of Mancar district of Peterongan Jombang regency. This researchdesign was analitic cross sectional. The populations were all sufferers of Diabetes Mellitus in the village ofMancar district of Peterongan Jombang regency in 2013 was amounted 37 people. The sample was 34 people.Sampling technique used was sample random sampling. The variable in this research consisted of independentvariable that’s the family support and dependent variable that’s preventive behavior of diabetes mellituscomplication. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with data processing by editing, coding, scoring,tabulating and statistic test used chi square. The results showed that’s almost entirely family support was negativewith total 26 respondents (76,5%), majority preventive behavior of diabetes mellitus complication was negativeamounted 21 respondents (61,8%). The test of chi square showed that the significant value of  = 0,001 < (0,05), so H1 accepted. The conclusion there is relation of family support with preventive behavior of DiabetesMellitus complication in the village of Mancar district of Peterongan Jombang regency.

Abstract

Iron requirement increase after pregnancy, iron supplementation is an effective way to prevent anemia due toiron deficiency. Anemia is due to non-compliance with the mother in consuming iron tablets. Family supportis very important to help remind women to consume iron tablets, one of the main factors the low compliancewomen due to forgot to consume iron tablets. Based on preliminary studied which was conducted frominterview result of 8 pregnant women obtained 5 pregnant women (62,5%) did not obey to consume irontablets, while 3 pregnant women (37,5%) kept in consuming iron tablets. This research aimed to analyze therelationship between family’s support with obedience of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets. Thisresearch design was analytic of cross sectional, the population was husband who had pregnant women inthird trimester as many as 36 respondents, taken samples a number of 33 people with purposive sampling.Independent variable of this research was family’s support and dependent variable was the obedience ofpregnant women in consuming iron tablets. The research instrument used was a questionnaire, testing databy statistic test of Spearman Rank’s with value of  = 0,05. Based on results showed majority (54,50%) ofhusband had support and mostly (57,60%) of pregnant women who did not obey in consuming iron tablets.The result of statistic test obtained value of  (0,001) < alpha (0,05), so H1 accepted. The conclusion of thisresearch is that there’s relationship between family’s support with obedience of pregnant women inconsuming iron tablets. It is expected for health workers to keep and increase enpowerment of family andcommunity by giving counseling about the important of iron during pregnancy.

Abstract

Cataract is still a dominant disease of the eye and a major cause of blindness. Cataract surgery is thetreatment measures that must be done. Patients undergoing surgery experience anxiety in order to reduceanxiety one of them needed family support, because with the support would provide psychological comfort.This research aimed to know the relation between family’s supports with Patient anxiety levels of preoperation cataract in the Optical Eye Clinic Jombang regency. This research used design of cross sectionalwith data collecting and at once time (point time approach). The population of this research was all clients ofpre cataract surgery in the Optical Eye Clinic Jombang regency in January-March a number of 14respondents with sample number of 14 respondents. The sampling technique used was sampling incidental.The independent variable was family’s support while the dependent variable was anxiety level. Dataprocessing by Editing, Coding, Scoring and Tabulating and analyzed used statistic test of spearman Rho. Theresults of this research showed of 14 respondents, half of respondents had good family’s support that’s 7respondents (50%), and half of respondents experience mild anxiety that’s 7 respondents (50%). Based onthe result of Spearman-Rho obtained result of p-value = 0,01 which means that’s less than 0,05, so ρ < αand H1 accepted. The conclusion of this research is that there’s relation between family supports withanxiety of pre-operation cataract patient in the Optical Eye Clinic Jombang regency. with the results of thisstudy can be used as input for the family that’s family’s support is very important to reduce anxiety of patientwho will perform surgery.

Abstract

Each post op fracture’s patient will definitely experience pain due to the process of the surgery and thesystem injury. Generally health worker just applied in pharmacology but there are still ways of nonpharmacological could help to lower the pain effectively, one of which is in relaxation technique of deepbreathing. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of relaxation techniques of deep breathingagainst pain intensity on post op fracture’s patient. This research design uses pre experiments with onegrouppretest-postest design. The population of this research are patients post op fracture with PurposiveSampling sampling and taking with a total sample of 28 people. The independent variable in this study isrelaxation technique of deep breathing, whereas variables dependent is a decrease intensity of the pain. Datawas collected using the observation sheet with data analysis using statistical tests Willcoxon (α = 0.05). Theresults showed that relaxation techniques of deep breathing in effect on the intensity of pain that is severepain from the previous 17 to 8 people. There is a connection between breath relaxation techniques in takingaction against the intensity of the patient's pain post op fracture with the results of the test statistics p =0.000. The conclusion of relaxation techniques of deep breathing in having an impact on decreasing pain inpatients post op fracture.

Abstract

The role of nurses inpatient safety programs still requires special attention from hospital management.Torealize high quality and safety carebased on patient safety programs, nurses requires knowledge, skills, andattitudes as well as a variety of competencies. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationshipof nurses’ knowledge and nurses’ attitudes as the implementation of patient safety at general inpatientinstalationinRSUD Jombang in 2013. The researcher uses research design of analytic correlation with crosssectionalapproach. The number of population consists of 132 nurses workingat general inpatient instalationinRSUD Jombang, and its sample consists of 99 nurses which are treated by using “proportionate random samplingtechnique”. The independent variable in this research is the nurses' knowledge, while the dependent variable isthe nurses’ attitudes. The researcher uses data collection byusinginstruments such as questionnaires, where asthe data analysis using Chi Square. The results show that the knowledge of nurses about patient safety lesscategorized by 51.5% and 48.5% considered good. As for the attitude of nurses on patient safetyimplementation categorized by 53.5% positive and 46.5% negative categorized. Chi Square test of twovariables is obtained value ρ = 0.032 The conclusion of this researchindicates that there is a significant relationshipof nurses’ knowledge and nurses' attitudes in the implementation of patient safety atgeneral inpatient instalationinRSUD Jombang 2013.Keywords: knowledge, attitudes, patient, safety
