Abstract

The toddler should have appropriate stimulation and directed in order to achieve an optimal growth. Stimulation of targeted and appropriate for young children (toddlers) are included on the principles of early childhood education programs, so that early childhood education is very helpful in shaping the structure of a child's development. The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in the growth level of toddler’s development aged 3-4 years ECD and non-ECD in Pucangsewu, Pacitan, East Java. This study used a comparative design with cross sectional approach, the population was toddler aged 3-4 years in the Village Pucangsewu as many as 65, a sample of 56 toddlers were taken by using proportional random sampling technique. Measuring instruments used were DDST II. The data wasanalyzed by using the Mann-Whitney test statistic at 5% error level (α = 0.05). Based on the survey results revealed that the level of development of toddler aged 3-4 years which followed the Early Childhood Education program almost entirely in the normal category (86.9%), little bit was suspect (30,3%) and nobody was in unstable category. Level of toddler’s development aged 3-4 years who did not follow ECD mostly (60,6%) was in suspect category, (30,3%) was normal and (9,1%) was in unstable category. Results of Mann-Whitney test howed p = 0.000 (p <α) so H1 accepted. The results of this study can be concluded that there are differences in the level of development of toddler aged 3-4 years ECD and non-ECD in village Pucangsewu, Pacitan, East Java

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2 in the majority of countries have developed as a result of social and cultural fast change, the ever increasing aging population, increasing urbanization, dietary changes, reduced physical activity and unhealthy behavior patterns Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease who need long-term care and require management self-care (self-care) and support from the family to prevent acute and chronic complications. This study aimed to determine the relationship of family support with self-care behavior of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2. This study was an analytical cross sectional correlation with a population of 236 respondents and sampling the probability sampling technique with random sampling approach with a sample size of 99 people. Independent variables are the independent variables of family support and self-care behaviors that people with type 2 diabetes mellitus measuring tool used in this study was a questionnaire. The data is processed through the editing stage, coding, processing, and cleaning. Then tested with Pearson correlation. Based on the results of Pearson correlation test using SPSS on the error rate ρ ≤ 0.05. Based on the results obtained ρ = 0.012 and r = 0.252 then H1 is accepted. The result can be concluded that there was a relationship between singnifican family support with self-care behaviors of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2.

Abstract

Childhood is golden period. Where pre school children experienced physical stress, emotions, thoughts and behaviors caused by various causes and sources such as disaster with concentration symptom, anxiety and fear. Pre-school children generally were cooperative in making game. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of educational game on stress level of pre-school children after Kelud mountain disaster.The design of this study used "Pre-experimental" (One Group Pre-Test - Post Test Design). In this study, the population was all pre-school children after disaster, amounting to 53 children and sample of this study was part of pre-school children after disaster in Dharma Wanita 5 kindergarten Kepung. Sampling technique used simple random sampling as many as 47 respondents.Variabel independent variable was influence of educative games and dependent variable was stress level on preschool children after Kelud mountain disaster. Data were collected by using questionnaires before and after provision of educational games. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test with number α = < 0,05. The study result showed that stress before being given educative game was severe category and after being given educative game was mild on the subject on significance level was p = 0,000 < 0,05.The conclusion H1 was accepted. It means no effect of educative game on the level of stress on pre-school children after the eruption of Kelud mountain. Based on the results of this study were expected the teacher can give educative game every week to students according with the standard curriculum of educative games that can be used as a reference in giving intervention on children to lose stress.

Abstract

Based on Household Health Surveyin 2007 showed that the prevalence of hypertension reaches0.37%, or 83 per 1,000members of the household. Approximately 0.15% of the number suffered by theelderly. In the elderly who suffer from hypertension requires an appropriate social support, because family support was instrumental in encouraging the elderly interestor willingness to participate in a neighborhood health center. To analyze the relationship between family support in elderly hypertensive elderly with compliance visits to the elderly neighborhood health centerin Gudo Jombang. This study used a cross section alanalyticdesign by taking a sample of 44 people is done by purposive sampling. Testing the data with SPSS version 17.0statistical test"Spearman Rank's" by rate=0.018<0.05. The study showed the majority of family support in elderly hypertensive elderly posyandu is a good category, indicating that most of the respondents came to posyandu elderly. Results of statistical test SpearmanRank's (=0.018<0.05). H1is accepted means that there is a relationship between family support for the elderly elderly hypertension with compliance visits to the elderly neighborhood health center. From the results of this study are expected to retain nurses and improve family and community empowerment by providing counseling or information about the importance of neighborhood health center visits to the elderly

Abstract

Learning Competency Based Curriculum requires that the learning process should be student centered learning. The learning process should provide an opportunity and a larger space for students to explore, to experience, discover, and also test their own comprehension by asking and constantly questioning what is learned. Learning Competency Based Curriculum models that is : Small Group Discussion, Role-Play & Simulation, Discovery Learning (DL), Cooperative Learning (CL), Problem Based Learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge about the behavior of faculty teaching methodKBK at STIKES ICME Jombang. The design of this study used an observational study conducted by cross sectional analytical cross sectional. This study was conducted in STIKES ICME Jombang, total sampling method with a sample of 74 lecturers during the study but only 35 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires. Analysis of the data using statistical test product moment correlation, with probability value as 0,011 more than value α (0,05), in order to H1 accepted The results showed that there is a correlation with the behavior of faculty knowledge about teaching methods KBK in STIKES ICME Jombang. Knowledge has a relationship with professors about the behavior of the learning method KBK in STIKES ICME Jombang. Sugestion STIKES ICME Jombang expected to contribute ideas in terms of teaching and learning activities, so that the learning process more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Increased public awareness of health, will lead to increased demands for health services. Currently the Indonesian government has made a national policy by issuing a new program that is BPJS (Social Security Agency of Health). The increasing demand for quality public health services, the service function needs to be improved to give satisfaction for BPJS patient. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of health care quality with BPJS patient’s satisfaction. The research used analitical design with a cross sectional approach, the population were all patients of BPJS user in RSI Sakinah Mojokerto with total sample as many 100 which conducted with simple random sampling technique. Independent variabel was the quality of health care and the dependent variabel was the BPJS patient’s satifaction. Measuring instrumemts used in this study was a questionnaire. Then, data was analyzed with spearman’s correlation statistical test with value p = 0.000 < α=0.05.This result was mostly respondents assessed the quality of health care was good (56.0%), good enough (44.0%) and BPJS patients satisfaction was quite satisfied (51.0%), satisfied (49.0%).The Spearman correlation statistical test results (p=0.000<α0.05) so that Ha accepted. The conclusion of this research obtained that there was significant relationship between quality of health care with BPJS patients satisfaction.

Abstract

Patient safety is a global issue that is most important at this time and there are now reported to the demands of patients on medical errors that happened to him. Cases of improper administration of drugs or excessive medical treatment often occurs in Indonesia, just not exposed to the mass media. Professional nurses have an important role in the implementation of drug administration. This study aims to determine the relationship of nurses' knowledge about the salvation of patients with adherence pelaksnaan injections in the inpatient hospital Dr. Sayidiman Hove.Analytical Methods Cross-sectional study that researchers take measurements or research at a time. Population of 59 nurses with samples taken all inpatient hospital nurses Sayidiman Dr. Hove as many as 59 people. The technique used in this study is the total sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires. Independent variables of knowledge of nurses about patient safety and compliance implementation dependent variable injection drug delivery. Data processing is done with the editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and using the Pearson correlation test.The results of the 59 respondents knowledge of nurses on patient safety has a correlation coefficient with the compliance of the implementation of injection drug delivery with a significance value of p-value = 0.000> 0.05 where the value of r = 0.580, which means there salvation neighbor relations nurses' knowledge of patients with medication adherence injection execution.The conclusion of this study, most of the knowledge of nurses about patient safety with the implementation of medication adherence injection drug administration is approaching the maximum value. To further enhance the knowledge of nurses on patient safety compliance so as drug delivery injection execution carried out in accordance with procedures.

Abstract

Many women experience problems due to the difficulty of exclusive breastfeeding breast milk out so that mothers choose to replace it with formula. Breastfeeding pattern is closely related to the return of fertility, which can be measured either by the return of the menstrual cycle after childbirth. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding with the menstrual cycle in breastfeeding mothers in Puskesmas Bungkal, District Bungkal, Ponorogo. The design of this analytic cross-sectional study. The study was conducted in March-July 2014, the entire population is lactating mothers with infants aged 6-7 months as many as 59 breastfeeding mothers with a total sampling technique sampling. Independent variables namely exclusive breastfeeding and menstrual cycle dependent variable.Measuring instrument using a questionnaire.Data processing using Editing, Coding, Tabulating.The statistical test using the chi square test. The results showed the majority of exclusive breastfeeding provides a non-exclusive breastfeeding 31 respondents (52.54%) and almost half the number of exclusively breastfed 28 respondents (47.46%). With the normal menstrual cycle a number of 37 respondents (62.71%) and an abnormal number of 22 respondents (37.29%). The results of chi square test with an error rate of α=0.05 was found that the ρ value = 0.000 <0.05, which means that H1 is accepted. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship of exclusive breastfeeding with the menstrual cycle in breastfeeding mothers in Puskesmas Bungkal, District Bungkal, Ponorogo. The results of this research can be used by midwives to provide KIE on exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers to provide breast milk to their babies, especially in the Puskesmas Bungkal, District Bungkal, Ponorogo.

Abstract

Hypertension disease is the most disease that suffered by Indonesian People that can happen caused by one of the problems that often appear from change of life-style. Hypertension is negative impact to physic and also physiology of elder-age-person. Worried is one of uncomfortable reactions to this disease because it is not effective mechanism coping individual. Based on study before, 7 from 10 elder-age-persons said that they felt worried with hypertension they felt. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relation event hypertension with worried of elder-age-person in elder-age-person Posyandu Jabaran Sub-Village, Kedungpari Village, Sub-District Mojowarno, District Jombang The research method, Annalistic Cross Sectional. Populations of this research is all elder-age-person in Posyandu in Jabaran Sub-Village as many as 35. Sampling Technique is Total Sampling. Variable in this research is hypertension event as independent variable and elder-age-person’s worried as dependent variable. Gaining data of this research by using instrument of questionnaire. Analyzing data method, by using editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and to test statistic using spearman rank test.Result of this research from 35 respondents almost half of the respondents having light hypertension as many as 14 respondents (40%) and 12 respondents (34%) having medium hypertension also 9 respondents (26%) having heavy hypertension. For worried variable, most of the respondents are having heavy worried as many as 20 respondents (57%) and 15 respondents (43%) are having medium worried. Spearman rank test from variable gained value ρ= 0,001 and α=0,05 it means ρ<α that has mean H1 is accepted. Conclusion from the research is there a relation between event hypertension with worried of elder-age-person.

Abstract

Pain is an unpleasant feeling things that are perceived by osteoarthritis patients. Now to overcome the painpharmacological treatment alone is not enough, sh ouldalso be granted non- pharmacological treatment withherbal treatment, ginger contains anti - inflammatory and anti–inflammatory which proven to reduce pain.The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of warm compresses decoction of ginger todecreasethe pain of osteoarthritis. The types of research used approach one group pra-post test design. The samplestudied is 19 people with technique sampling rendom sampling with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Theindependent variable is warm compresses decoction of ginger, while the dependent variable is the pain ofosteoarthritis with parameters ginger is boiled and used as a compress as well as facial expressions andranges pain to determine pain intensity,with ordinal scale will be used wilcoxon test to determine the effect ofthe experiment with criteria painless (0), mild pain (1-3),moderate pain (4-6), severe pain (7-9) and verysevere pain ( 10 ). Collecting data using instruments vas with a range of 1-10 who have tested the validityand reliabelitasnya then the data collected in the edit coding assessed the score later in the tabulation . Theresults showed before to warm ginger decoction obtained 4 mild pain (21%), pain was 12 people (63.2%), 3severe pain (15.8%) After compresses a change of 60%. The increase in painless 2 (10.5 %) , mild pain 7people (36.8%) , pain was 9 people (47.4%), severe pain one person (5.3%). Based on statistical testWilcoxon p-value of 0,000 (<0.05), which means H1 accepted. The conclusions of research there is effect ofwarm compresses decoction of ginger to decrease the pain of osteoarthritis.
