Abstract

Abstract Purpose: This research aims to obtain a description of the policy of developing human resource educators at the University of Dili in accordance with applicable academic regulations. Research methodology: The method used in this research was a descriptive qualitative method. Six respondents were determined as research samples. The research instruments for this study were interview guides, notebooks, recording devices, test books and researchers. Data collection was done through interview method and the data was analyzed by referring to Miles and Huberman's Intractive model framework. Results: there are some efforts to develop the human resources of educators in universities such as sending of teaching staff to continue their education and various policies that enable the development of educators' human resources. Some factors that influence the development of human resource educators in universities are the organizational structure, organizational policies, allocation of funds, the level of educators’ education and the participation of educators in support for the development of human resources Limitations: this research only discusses the development of educators as human resources at the University of Dili and various factors that influence it. Contribution: This research was conducted to answer problems related to the management of development for educators as human resources at the University of Dili and what factors influence the development of teaching human resources at the University of Dili Timor-Leste Keywords: Development, Human resource, Educator

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to explore the relationship between employer-employee relations and employee engagement in a tertiary institution in Edo State. Research methodology: Semi-structured interviews were conducted on a cross-section of management staff, heads of department, and units in the University. A descriptive method was adopted for data analysis. Results: The results of this study revealed that employee engagement is a by-product of employer-employee relations and the quality of the relationship is one of the most critical factors that drive engagement and satisfaction of employees. Limitations: The challenge was the inadequate number of respondents interviewed due to time constraint. Contribution: The study provided insight into the so called "soft aspect" of an organization and the way people relate with one another, and advocated the need for employers, managers, and supervisors in organizations to recognize the emotional composite of an employee, and the creation of a healthy relationship that would meet the employee' emotional needs. Abstract

Purpose: Research ventures to expand the reach of organ transplant mechanisms to improve the abysmally low organ transplant rate in the country. The research deploys state of the art technologies to promote deceased organ donation using the donor organ transplant system. Research methodology: The exploratory study focuses on addressing the limitation of resources using a Socio-material view. The research utilizes qualitative content analysis to reflect on the knowledge drawn from the artifacts. Results: The presented study leverages the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain technologies to benefit from the convergence. In line with the concept of 'Texture of Practices,' research provides recommendations to augment the organ transplant system in terms of procurement, coordination, and transplantation. Limitations: Drawing the knowledge from the case studies, research strives to understand the reality and interaction of actors in a healthcare context. Considering the complex nature of the organ transplant process, the study is limited to the Indian scenario and cannot be generalized. Contribution: Research identifies the requirement of a unified digital interface and encourages the integration of emergency health services to facilitate operational processes during organ transplants. Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to analyze the implementation of the regulation of the board of directors of the TVRI public broadcasting institution regarding non-civil servants (Study at the Indonesian Television Public Broadcasting Institute (TVRI), East Nusa Tenggara Station. Research methodology: In this study, the authors used an interpretive research paradigm. The interpretive approach aims to understand the "world of human experience". In this study, the total population was 110 people consisting of 27 non-civil servants and 83 civil servants. Furthermore, purposively, the researcher selected 11 people as informants with details of 1 Head of the Office as Key Informants and 10 non-civil servants as Ordinary Informants Results: The conclusions of this study can be grouped into four aspects, namely actors, organizations, procedures, and techniques. Limitations: this research only analyzes the implementation of policies on the development of Indonesian migrant workers' families in the field of economic empowerment in Kupang city. Abstract

Purpose: The leadership phenomenon is fundamental in providing employees with direction and emotional indulgence to derive maximum effort out of them. Therefore, it is vital that an organisation places uninhibited emphasis on the appropriate leadership style to enhance employee performance. Premised on the Collaborative Leadership Model, this paper sought to extricate the nexus between leadership style and employee performance at a selected bank in Botswana, focusing on the transactional, transformational, and participative leadership styles. Research methodology: The study adopted a positivist research paradigm coupled with a survey research design, while a quantitative methodology was used to collect data through a self-administered questionnaire. The study population comprised 433 employees from which a sample of 200 was randomly selected. Data was analysed through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), culminating in statistical techniques such as factor analysis, regression analysis and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Results: The results of the study revealed that there was a significant utilisation of the participative, transformational, and transactional leadership styles at the selected commercial bank. However, while the use of the participative and transactional leadership styles had a positive and significant influence on employee performance, the transformational leadership style’s effect was insignificant. Limitation: The study only used quantitative data from employees for analysis and did not include bank leaders’ opinions. Contribution: The study contributed to the expansion of the body of knowledge on leadership style and employee performance in the banking sector in Botswana and elsewhere and helped to unmask the shortcomings of some styles while exposing the power of others in reaping positive reinforcements leading to enhancement of employee performance. Abstract

Purpose: The main objective of this article was to provide evidence concerning the level of Quality Management (QM) in Zimbabwe. Submitted evidence regarding QM in Zimbabwe will help organizations that want to implement QM systems. The results can guide government agents in making informed decisions towards QM systems implementation since very few organizations are officially quality certified. Research Methodology: The survey followed online search query on quality management in zimbabwe from journal articles, proceedings and institutional repository. 51 publications were selected and excel file was used to capture data and analyse. Results: The results expose that there was high interest in QM in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The results showed industries lack of capacity and resources, lack of skills and expertise, poor communication with stakeholders, poor raw materials, changing customer preferences, lack of top management commitment and costs of QM systems as key barriers to QM implementation. Limitations: The study limitation was survey of few studies retrieved through Bindura University online library and open access journal articles, proceedings papers and dissertations/thesis available on institutional repository. Abstract

Purpose: The economy in the MSME sector is experiencing a great crisis in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. MSME actors must change strategies to adapt to the current pandemic conditions. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Covid 19 on the economy and performance of MSMEs as well as the strategies adopted by MSME players in Bangka Belitung Province. Research methodology: The data collection method employed probability sampling with google form media analyzed by using cross tabulation, trend analysis and simple mathematical modeling in projecting total economic losses to MSMEs that are active in the Bangka Belitung Island Province. Results: The results show that 84.7 percent of MSMEs experienced a negative impact due to the Covid 19 pandemic in the form of a decrease in sales turnover, reduced demand and hampered distribution of raw materials. However, 15.3 percent of MSMEs experienced a positive impact and survived in the Covid 19 pandemic conditions. Some of the strategies implemented by MSMEs to survive in the Covid 19 periods were replacing products sold with products for handling COVID 19 such as masks, hand sanitizers and others. MSME players also changed their sales strategy by selling online and maintaining customer databases. Limitation: Due to the Covid-19 condition, survey activities were carried out by using the Google Form online application. Contribution: MSMEs undertook a more aggressive marketing strategy to maintain turnover value in order to keep growing. Keywords: Covid-19, MSME, Turnover, Competitive strategy

Abstract

Purpose: Due to the upgrade of technology, it has swapped the methods of controlling human beings in companies. In this context, finding the elements influencing the success of the HRIS in ABC manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd was the current research motive. Research methodology: The study design was deductive and quantitative. Moreover, primary data with Scale questionnaire was utilized for data gathering. 30 executives were selected in ABC manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd have directly dealt with the HRI System. Further, data analysis did through regression analysis. Results: The results confirmed that the success of HRIS was significantly impacted by the internal environmental elements and the external environmental elements. Also, found that internal environmental factors have the highest influence on the success of HRIS compared with the rest. Limitations: The respondents chosen for the study were 30 in one single company. Instead, the researcher selected two determinants only. Contribution: The researcher is motivated through this study because electronic, personal applications are now highly concern in local companies. The research findings can apply to organizations in third-world profiles to boost their HRI systems' efficacy. Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of customer-assisted knowledge production capacity on customer capital. Research methodology: The statistical population of the study consisted of 70 managers, researchers and experts of a scientific center and the statistical sample was counted and estimated 70 persons. The research instrument of the researcher-made questionnaire consists of six dimensions: ability to identify customer needs, create and manage a customer information system, customer loyalty, market share, customer service capability and target customer identification. The validity of the questionnaire was estimated 0.94%. Results: The results show that the impact of customer knowledge production capacity on all dimensions of customer capital is significant. Also, most influential among customer capital factors is customer service capability. Finally, by confirming the research hypotheses, suggestions were made based on the results of the research to improve the client's capital of the statistical society. Limitation: This research only described Knowledge Based Center. Contribution: Organizations realized that relying on existing knowledge alone was not enough to compete in a competitive environment, and went beyond the boundaries of their organization to acquire knowledge. Organizations considered customers as a very useful and knowledgeable resource, and activities should be done to interact with customers in leading organizations.
