Abstract

As we know, the development of science, especially in the field of information technology, which is increasingly developing from year to year, in the field of information technology cannot be separated from the use of computers. Computers are a set of tools or machines that work systematically and function as electronic data processing tools that have the ability to be very fast and precise with very large quality. So STMIK Budidarma Medan, as an academic institution that is oriented towards science and information technology, establishes a curriculum that is flexible and able to accommodate existing developments. The author conducted a research at the Al-Hikmah Tanjung Balai Higher Education Foundation. From the research the writer carried out the stages and finally concluded and got the right title, namely: "Decision Support System to Determine the Level of Student Intelligence in the Learning Process Using the Fuzzy Associative Memory Method". This program is designed to have a foundation, namely to motivate students in carrying out their learning process to be even better and to include increasing the degree of the campus, in processing the data every semester is required to input the value data obtained by students through the Visual Studio program. Abstract

Universitas Harapan Medan merupakan salah satu kampus swasta yang ada di kota Medan. Tentunya banyak lulusan baru di setiap tahunnya, kebutuhan akan sumber informasi lowongan kerja sangatlah penting bagi para mahasiswa yang ingin kuliah sambil bekerja, terutama para alumni yang baru menyelesaikan kuliahnya. Karna pada masa sekarang kebutuhan akan pekerjaan semakin meningkat, sehingga persaingan akan pekerjaan semakin ketat, Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan sebuah wadah atau tempat yang dapat dijadikan oleh alumni dan mahasiwa dalam mendapatkan informasi lowongan kerja, sehingga mempermudah alumni dan mahasiswa Universitas Harapan Medan dalam mencari lowongan pekerjaan. Abstract

Housing is a basic human need and needs to be fostered and developed for the survival and enhancement of people's lives and livelihoods and settlements cannot be seen as mere suggestions of needs, but more than that it is a process of settling in creating a living space to socialize themselves and reveal their identity. The development method in building a Security and Cleanliness Contribution Payment Information System in Menteng Indah Housing Based on Website based on the theory of design thinking methods. Design thinking is a method used to solve problems encountered by gathering lots of ideas in brainstorming sessions using a user-centered approach. The research test is to produce a Fee Payment System in Website-Based Menteng Indah Housing, with the application of this system will facilitate citizens and security in the process of paying fees

Abstract

Asean Pharmacies often have difficulty in predicting future product inventory based on previously recorded data. Forecasting is very influential on the decision of the pharmacy owner to determine the number of pharmaceutical products that must be provided by the pharmacy. These problems can be solved by the Forecasting technique using the weighted moving average method to predict how many stocks of goods must be purchased for the next period. Calculation of forecasting for future periods is based on previous quarterly data calculations and can also be done based on the selection of desired periods. The purpose of this research is to build a system in predicting future sales value to increase revenue. The system will be built with the Php programming language and use the Unified Modeling Language to design the system workflow

Abstract

We can easily find coffee sellers today, both online and offline. Buying coffee in the form of beans will provide several benefits, such as a more durable aroma and usually of a higher quality. But unfortunately, now there are still many coffee buyers who don't know how to choose coffee beans with good quality. Therefore we need a system that can produce recommendations for selecting the best coffee beans based on determined criteria. This study uses the Decision Support System concept using the SMART method. The SMART method is a decision-making method to solve the problem of multi-objective choice among several criteria, so that later it can produce an effective and efficient analysis. Input criteria that become priority in the recommendation for selecting the best coffee beans are live insects (none requirements), foul smelling beans (non-existent requirements), moisture content, non-coffee dung content, defect values, and flavor (aroma). Of the 10 alternatives tested on this system, there were 5 types of coffee with a “Highly Recommended” rating, 2 types of coffee with a “Recommended” rating, and 3 types of coffee with a “Considered” rating

Abstract

Thermo Electric generator element is a conversion system that converts heat into electricity by utilizing heat energy. This tool is designed which comes from wood fuel as a heat source, which can be converted by a Thermo Electric Generator (TEG) into electricity, because not all rural areas have electricity, so researchers use it as a back up for cellphone chargers. This research is a small scale only used for cellphone chargers, the results show that the temperature difference is a very influential factor in producing voltage output and electric current, the greater the temperature gradient (ΔT) produced, the greater the voltage output on the thermo electric. The working principle of the TEG element is that there is a temperature difference on each side, so the TEG will generate electricity. The TEG output is stabilized by an LM317 regulator to a constant 5V DC, the voltage does not fluctuate and does not cause damage to the cellphone. This element is packaged in the form of thin strips with two-sided cross sections, with one side absorbing heat and one side absorbing cold. The tool is designed to consist of 4 TEG with type TEG 12706 arranged in series to increase tension. The results of the research on the hot temperature side of at least 40.1 0C with a voltage of 0.70V DC and a maximum heat temperature of 187 0C with a voltage of 8.55V DC and on the cold side of a minimum of 0 0C a maximum of 26 0C with (P) power 0.105 W, (V) 8V DC voltage and (I) 0.013 mA current.

Abstract

In the process of work experienced, especially the process of selling heat received during the processing. If the cooling process is carried out slowly, it will be possible to reach each type of micro balanced according to the chemical composition and temperature of the steel. In the manufacturing process, the required chemical composition is obtained when steel is in a liquid phase at high temperatures. During the cooling process of the melting temperature, steel begins to turn into a solid phase at a temperature of 13,500 C, in this phase there is a change in micro-structure. Normalization is the process of heating the metal until it reaches the austenite phase which is then desired slowly in AC media. The cooling results are perlite and ferrite but the results are much smoother than annelling. The voltage results after the tempering process showed the highest value at 200 oC is 1482, 311 N / mm2 and the lowest value at 400 oC was 1104, 75 N / mm2.

Abstract

The power generated in the water turbine (Pelton turbine) varies depending on the flow of water entering the turbine. The research was conducted in the mechanical engineering laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universitas Harapan Medan. The experimental method is the method used in this study. By varying the 2 nozzles, the flow of water (Q) at 300 m3 / s and 375m3 / s, and at a bucket slope of -8o and 8o.The results obtained are: At -8o bucket slope the maximum turbine output power produced is 340 watts, and the minimum turbine output power is 250 watts. In the 8o tilt bucket, the maximum turbine output power generated is 460 watts, and the minimum turbine output power is 340 watts. The greatest efficiency is found in the maximum power of the turbine, which is 460 watts with an efficiency of 16%, which is found in the 8o tilt bucket.

Abstract

XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of red and white cement. PCC cement packaging uses the main machine, namely the Rotary Packer machine, the packaging depends on consumer demand. If consumer demand continues to increase, the packaging process will take place continuously without stopping, and on the contrary, if consumer demand decreases slightly, the packaging process will also take place less. The high downtime of the Packer 1 machine causes production targets to be achieved, delays in the distribution process, and non-productive activities for employees. Based on these problems, the calculation of the effectiveness value on the Packer 1 machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. Which aims to determine the value of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of the Packer 1 machine, to determine the comparison of the OEE value of the Packer 1 machine with international OEE values, and to determine the priority factors for repair and the root causes of problems and solutions. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the Packer 1 machine OEE value is 16.98% which is obtained from the Availability Ratio value of 49.48%, the Performance Efficiency Ratio of 30.04 and the Rate of Quality product of 100%.

Abstract

Utilization of cloud computing technology in the development of a website has significant developments such as the use of disk storage, memory, and CPUs running in the cloud at a low cost when compared to physical servers. When creates a website, human interaction in carrying out the deployment process such as creating a database and installing the packages needed by the website, all of this is done manually so it takes a lot of time. An automation process is needed to solve this problem by using ansible and shell scripts in the website deployment process. This final project will compare ansible and shell scripts as configuration management for drupal deployments to the Amazon web service EC2 server by analyzing the deployment process time, CPU and memory usage on the server, throughput, and packet loss. Based on tests that shell scripts have performed outperformed ansible at deployment time with a difference of 3 minutes, troughput generated in ansible testing is better with an average of 60,164 Kb/s and 22,009 Kb/s for shell scripts, and ansible usage against the CPU is much better because it does not make the server overloaded.
