Abstract

Purpose: The delimitation of territory is an important issue during the era of regional autonomy implementation in Indonesia. Territorial boundaries must be established in order to explore the potential of each region. Therefore, territorial boundary affirmation is important for preventing territorial conflicts that can cause both material and non-material losses. One way to minimize territorial boundary conflicts is to create a map of regional boundaries based on applicable laws and regulations (administrative order). Mapping administrative boundaries to the RT/RW level can improve the quality of governance and as a form of village/village development. This educational activity was conducted to increase public awareness of the orderly administration of regional boundaries, especially in the Rukun Masyarakat area. The service activity involves three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Methodology/approach: This service activity is in the form of socialization, in which the service team collaborates with Sungai Jawi Village in Pontianak City. As a result, community members in Sungai Jawi Village became more aware of the division of administrative areas in their neighborhoods. Results/findings: This socialization provides a clearer understanding of the duties and functions of Rukun Masyarakats as well as the administrative boundaries of each RW, thereby minimizing the potential for conflict and misunderstanding regarding regional boundaries. Limitation: Focuses on maximizing the role of the community in the orderly administration of the Rukun Warga area boundaries Contribution: It is hoped that education through socialization, awareness, and active participation of the community in maintaining the administrative order of regional boundaries will increase.

Contribution: The guidebook for writing scientific papers is considered by students to be easy to understand and helpful in improving their skills and understanding related to scientific papers. Abstract

Purpose: This approach is intended to accelerate the success of orphanages, with an emphasis on developing donor accountability through the preparation of financial documents that comply with ISAK 35 standards. Methodology: The first step of this approach was to interview orphanages regarding the recording mechanism and financial reporting to donors. To explain how the financial recording and reporting system complied with the relevant criteria, we conducted a socialization session. Results: Through the discussion process carried out by the service team, the challenges faced by orphanages in preparing financial reports that meet regulatory requirements have become clear. This is due to a lack of accounting knowledge among orphanage administrators who do not have an educational background in this field. implemented ISAK 35 in its financial reports. As a result, orphanages are motivated to improve their quality by preparing financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards, particularly by applying ISAK 35 principles. We hope that this will attract support from new donors. Limitations: The service team focused only on their observations of one orphanage, namely the Pelita Harapan Orphanage. The service team only uses analysis of the orphanage's white board which is displayed every day and The service team manipulates the transaction amount to maintain the privacy of the orphanage Contribution: This service activity at the orphanage shows the orphanage’s high enthusiasm to implement financial reporting in accordance with ISAK 35 in the future. Even though it has succeeded in increasing knowledge and interest in implementing orphanage financial reports according to ISAK 35, there are challenges that need to be overcome, namely, the orphanage's lack of knowledge in the field of accounting to present financial reports.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this program is to provide a basic understanding of the advantages inherent in implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in rural areas, particularly in Padanglampe Village, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Methodology: We employ socialization to deliver a fundamental understanding of the SDGs within Padanglampe Village. This approach is divided into three steps. First, lectures on SDGs and their relevance to village development were delivered to the participants. The speakers are lecturers from the Faculty and Economics and Business, Universitas Muslim Indonesia, and exchange students, Victor Lanceleur and Davoine Solene, from Polytech Annecy-Chambéry-Université Savoie Mont Blanc, France. Second, interactive Q&A sessions are conducted to foster active engagement. Finally, participant knowledge, awareness, and attitudes towards SDGs were evaluated using a questionnaire-based approach. Results: The study involved 29 participants from diverse backgrounds, and, overall, the program progressed smoothly. Evaluation findings indicate that the majority of participants in Padanglampe village attained adequate literacy regarding SDGs following lectures. This suggests a positive impact of the program in enhancing knowledge, awareness, and attitude among villagers about the SDGs and their significance for sustainable development. Limitations: Although the program showed promising results, certain limitations need to be addressed. One notable limitation is the reliance on Google Forms for evaluation, which may not provide a comprehensive understanding of the participants’ perspectives. Therefore, we strongly suggest using participatory approaches, such as interviews, to obtain deeper insights into villagers’ understanding and perceptions of the SDGs. Contributions: Despite these limitations, this community service program initiative has made significant contributions to advancing villagers’ understanding and participation in SDGs. By providing socialization about SDGs at the grassroots level, the program has played a crucial role in promoting sustainable development within rural areas.
