Abstract

The low fine motor development of children in group B RA Al Madani is due to the lack of learning that can stimulate children's fine motor development and activities that prioritize children to learn to read, write and count. With collage activities, you can train flexibility and perseverance, recognize shapes and colors, train creativity, and train concentration. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a significant influence between collage activities from dry leaf material on the fine motor development of children. In this study using a quantitative approach to the experimental method of one group pretest posttest design. The data collection technique was carried out through observation and documentation instruments with respondents, namely 10 children. Then the data were analyzed by normality test and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of data analysis showed that the average value before applying the collage of dry leaf material (pre test) obtained a value of 59.6 in the less category and the average value after applying the collage of dry leaf material (post test) obtained a value of 87, 3 with very good category. The difference in the average value between the pre test and post test shows a significant difference. This is evidenced by the t test hypothesis test that t count t table with t count = 10.0284 and t table = 1.8331. This means that Ha is accepted and it is proven that the collage of dry leaf material has an effect on children's fine motor development.

Abstract

This study was to determine the application of educational supervision by the principal in improving teacher performance at the RA Plus Al-Mubarokah Boro institution.  Supervision aims to improve the quality and performance of educators, so that the role of supervision in the education management process has an important role.  It is hoped that this research can be believed to be a useful thought in the future, especially those related to supervision in ECE institutions in order to improve teacher performance.  This study uses a qualitative approach while the method used is descriptive qualitative.  Data was collected by using interview, observation and documentation studies.  The data obtained were then grouped, selected based on quality and analyzed descriptively, the results concluded to answer the existing problems.  The subjects of this study were the principal and teachers.  The results showed that the supervision activities carried out by the principal could support the teacher's performance.

Abstract

The Basic Vocabulary of Early Childhood Improvement Using Animated Film Media at group A PAUD Ar-Rizqi Bogor. Panca Sakti University This research aims to improve the basic vocabulary of children at an early age using animated film media in the group A Paud Ar-Rizqi Bogor. This research uses a Class Action Research Model (PTK) with two cycles and four stages in each cycle such as; planning, execution of actions, observations, and reflections. The subjects in the study were 15 children: 9 girls and 6 boys. The condition before the action, the child's basic vocabulary obtained a fairly low result of about 25%. Then after the action in cycle I, the result increased about 53% and it was increased again in cycle II. 80% of children were able to mention basic vocabulary after have seen animated films. The results of this study show that animated film media can be used to improve vocabulary mastery in children. Improving basic vocabulary mastery is part of language development. Through language, children can tell their experiences, and convey through the symbols they use to communicate and think.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on various fields, one of which is education. In the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) unit in the Academic Year 2022/2023 switch from the Learning from Home (BDR) system to Face-to-Face Learning (PTM). Implementation of PTM in PAUD units while complying with government regulations and complying with health protocols. Compliance with health protocols is very important to teach from an early age, especially after the implementation of PTM, children return to activities outside the home. This study aims to determine parents' perceptions of NCDs in children aged 4-6 years. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used through questionnaires and interviews.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the problems that exist in Sinar Mentari Kindergarten schools in the application of assessments to measure the physical development of fine motor skills in early childhood. The discussion of the article uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of the analysis describe the product produced in this study is an assessment to measure fine motor  physical development in early childhood. The collage applied at Sinar Mentari Godog Laren Lamongan Kindergarten is in the form of LKA (Children's Worksheet) with the theme of plants, sub-theme of flowers, which refers to the RPPH (Daily Learning Implementation Plan). With his shortcomings in conducting assessments, parents have not accepted the development of their children. As a parent, you want to be informed about the growth and development of your child. In addition to needing the results of child development, parents also want their children to grow and develop.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the methods of instilling character values in the new normal period in children aged 3-4 years in Tunas Harapan playgroup. The change from the pandemic period to the new normal has changed the learning activities that were previously learned from home into face-to-face learning while still paying attention to health protocols. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques were observation and documentation of the learning activities, as well as interviews with children, teachers, and parents. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that the methods of instilling character values in the new normal period used in Tunas Harapan playgroup were very diverse. The methods were playing traditional games, exemplification and habituation, storytelling, singing, and field trip. With the return of children playing while learning at school, the application of these methods has become very effective especially after more than two years of online learning. Children became more enthusiastic in following the learning activities at school and good character values were embedded in the children.

Abstract

The background in this study is the fact that in Tamansari Surabaya Kindergarten, children's curiosity has not been well developed. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to increase understanding of early childhood through storytelling activities in group A at TK Tamansari Surabaya. Researchers use this type of research in the form of classroom action research. The approach applied is a case study approach with qualitative methods. The location of this research was at Tamansari Surabaya Kindergarten which was conducted for 2 days on 8-9 December 2022 with 20 students as kindergarten students in group A as research subjects. The data collection technique is observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive comparative statistical techniques. The results of the research and discussion are based on cycle 1 and cycle 2. At cycle 1 to 1 meetings, storytelling activities are carried out using storybook media. Of which there are only 5 children (25%) who focus on learning. Meanwhile, the success rate must reach 80% of 20 children. Then, the researcher reflected by holding meeting 2 in cycle 1. Meeting 2 revealed storytelling activities using media images that had not succeeded in reaching the target. Because the number of children who focused on listening to stories was only 8 children (40%). Then, the researcher reflected again by holding cycle 2. In cycle 2, storytelling activities used hand puppet media. With the media of hand puppets, students are more enthusiastic in listening to stories. Cycle 2 described that the number of children who focused on learning increased to 18 children (90%). So it can be concluded that this research was successful. Because storytelling activities can increase children's curiosity at Tamansari Surabaya Kindergarten. And the media that is effectively used in storytelling activities is the hand puppet media.

Abstract

Early childhood education is useful as a stimulation for children in accordance with the growth characteristics of children at their age. Age 4-5 years is the age when children begin to recognize symbols in the form of numbers from one to ten. Therefore, early childhood education, especially in formal education such as in Aisyiyah 18 Asemjajar Kindergarten, must be able to improve the learning of arithmetic activities. Spindle Box is an educational game tool for children that will be implemented in Aisyiyah 18 Asemjajar Kindergarten to improve counting activities. This research was conducted on 18 children in class A1 (9 boys and 9 girls). Research activities were carried out for three days with predetermined steps. Based on the results of the study, the spindle box succeeded in increasing children's numeracy activities and the children became more enthusiastic so it can be concluded that the APE spindle box has a positive influence on children's numeracy activities in Aisyiyah 18 Kindergarten Asemjajar

Abstract

New scientific research shows that environmental influences can actually affect whether and how genes are expressed. Thus, the old idea that genes are "set in stone" or that they alone determine development has been debunked. In fact, scientists have found that early experiences can determine how genes are turned on and off and even whether some are expressed at all. Therefore, the experiences that children have early in life and the environment in which they have them are able to shape the structure of their developing brains and greatly influence whether they grow up to be healthy and productive members of society. This growing body of scientific evidence supports the need for society to re-examine the way it thinks about the circumstances and experiences to which young children are exposed.

Abstract

Stress in children is a trauma that can hinder and even damage the development of a child's brain. When a child is under pressure, whether light or heavy from an incident that is intentional or not, it can affect the child's brain development. Therefore, children should be avoided as much as possible so as not to get events that make them traumatized which later when they occur in the long term and continuously can cause children to become stressed. As we know the brain is an important thing in human life, because the brain is said to be the center of everything that the human will do in the future. By avoiding excessive stress on children and providing a good stimulus is the same as making a child's brain development good and very good. Of course, it will produce good results in the future.
