Abstract

Optimizing health services during the pandemic is something that hospitals must do in order to keep improving service quality. This community service aims to educate nurses on how to use digital technology-based nursing services in the pandemic. Health education is provided through webinars, as a method of implementing this community service program. The majority of webinar participants (60%) had sufficient knowledge based on the results of the pretest. Following the presentation of the material, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in knowledge, with 182 participants (90%) having excellent knowledge. Nursing services are benefiting from digital innovation not only in terms of workforce management, but also in terms of changing the way care is delivered. Nurses are crucial in the adoption of digital tools and information technology to improve patient care. This is due to the fact that the quality of digital care delivery has risen to the forefront of healthcare and is being scrutinized more than ever before.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetic patients' non-compliance with diet can increase the risk of complications and decrease quality of life. Dietary compliance can be influenced by motivation, self-efficacy, knowledge, intentions, and family support. This study aims to analyze the relationship between perceived risk and expected outcomes with dietary compliance in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: 150 respondents were obtained from five Primary Health Care in Surabaya through the cluster sampling method. The instruments used were a risk perception, a healthy diet-outcome expectation scale, and dietary compliance questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s Rho statistics (α≤0.05). Results: Most of the patients had moderate risk perception (67.3%) and high outcome expectation (48%). There was a significant relationship between perceived risk (p = 0.000) and expected outcome (p = 0.000) with dietary compliance in type 2 DM patients. Conclusion: Diabetic patients' perceptions of their disease and the expected results have a positive effect on patient adherence to diet. Patients need accurate information about their disease so that they can create good perceptions and expectations.

Abstract

The background in this study is the fact that in Tamansari Surabaya Kindergarten, children's curiosity has not been well developed. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to increase understanding of early childhood through storytelling activities in group A at TK Tamansari Surabaya. Researchers use this type of research in the form of classroom action research. The approach applied is a case study approach with qualitative methods. The location of this research was at Tamansari Surabaya Kindergarten which was conducted for 2 days on 8-9 December 2022 with 20 students as kindergarten students in group A as research subjects. The data collection technique is observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive comparative statistical techniques. The results of the research and discussion are based on cycle 1 and cycle 2. At cycle 1 to 1 meetings, storytelling activities are carried out using storybook media. Of which there are only 5 children (25%) who focus on learning. Meanwhile, the success rate must reach 80% of 20 children. Then, the researcher reflected by holding meeting 2 in cycle 1. Meeting 2 revealed storytelling activities using media images that had not succeeded in reaching the target. Because the number of children who focused on listening to stories was only 8 children (40%). Then, the researcher reflected again by holding cycle 2. In cycle 2, storytelling activities used hand puppet media. With the media of hand puppets, students are more enthusiastic in listening to stories. Cycle 2 described that the number of children who focused on learning increased to 18 children (90%). So it can be concluded that this research was successful. Because storytelling activities can increase children's curiosity at Tamansari Surabaya Kindergarten. And the media that is effectively used in storytelling activities is the hand puppet media.

Age 4-5 years is the age when children begin to recognize symbols in the form of numbers from one to ten. Therefore, early childhood education, especially in formal education such as in Aisyiyah 18 Asemjajar Kindergarten, must be able to improve the learning of arithmetic activities. Spindle Box is an educational game tool for children that will be implemented in Aisyiyah 18 Asemjajar Kindergarten to improve counting activities. This research was conducted on 18 children in class A1 (9 boys and 9 girls). Research activities were carried out for three days with predetermined steps. Abstract

Based on the results of field studies carried out through observation activities in learning at Aisyiyah Bebekan Kindergarten, it was found that there was a phenomenon of children's critical thinking abilities that were not optimal when learning in the room watching videos. children can’t focus when learning in the room. The percentage obtained between students who responded and those who responded less during reflection was 10% and 90%. In the observations we have observed, the method used is the experimental quantitative method. Therefore, it can be seen that using this experimental method greatly influences the effectiveness of learning, because it could be that when the video is broadcast, the class situation is less stable, so that the child's focus on learning is not focused on one object, in other words, the child's level of focus is less. The high knowledge of children is caused by the teacher using media in the learning process, namely audio-visual media (video). using non-experimental methods on natural phenomena it is known that the theme of flooding is the inability of children to mention the causes and effects of flooding by 71%.

Abstract

Learning in early childhood can be done by utilizing various learning media, one of which is technology. Technology in early childhood learning can improve six aspects of child development, one of which is cognitive abilities. The interactive PowerPoint learning technology applied in this study provides a stimulus for cognitive development so children can acquire and build knowledge by discovering their knowledge. This study aimed to determine the effect of learning with interactive PowerPoint media on the cognitive development of early childhood in TK Aisyiyah 52. The research method used in this study was quantitative research with the study population of children aged 5-6 years. The type of sample used was Non-Probability sample selection using a saturated sampling technique with the same population as the research sample of 20 children. Data were obtained through the results of the pre-test and post-test scores. From the results of data analysis, it was found that the average score for the pre-test was 6, and the average score for the post-test was 12.25. This indicated that the average post-test score was higher than the average pre-test score for the t-count and t-table values, with a significant level of 5% and N = 20. Then, Ha was accepted, and Ho was rejected meaning that method using interactive PowerPoint media had an influence on the cognitive development of early childhood.

Abstract

STEAM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, represents an instructional approach closely linked to children's cognitive abilities. The combination of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and arts in the learning process can prepare students with 21st-century skills. The objective of this study is to examine the STEAM learning model in primary education through a literature review, aiming to enhance students' intelligence. This research is qualitative in nature, utilizing a literature review to connect existing research and fill gaps in prior studies. The findings of this study reveal that the STEAM learning model for children can be implemented by creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment. It provides children with opportunities for exploration, discovery, construction, experimentation, prediction, seeking answers to complex questions, and connecting knowledge to real-life situations, thereby stimulating their intelligence.
