Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the pair check learning model on the mathematical connection ability of class X MAN 1 Banyumas students. This study falls under the category of quasi-experimental design research. Four hundred seventy-six students in class X MAN 1 at Banyumas served as the study's population. The sampling method employs a straightforward random sampling technique, in which samples are drawn randomly from the population without regard to their position. The two most notable classes from this research are X-2, which has 38 students and serves as an experimental school, and X-4, which has 38 students and serves as a control school. Instruments in the form of test questions were used to gauge participants' proficiency with mathematical connections. The data analysis technique using the N-Gain test showed a difference in the average N-Gain in the experimental class, which was 0.4727 more than the control class N-Gain value of 0.2354. Accordingly, it can be inferred that class X MAN 1 Banyumas' ability to make mathematical connections is impacted by the application of the pair check learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different stages of geometric thinking in terms of understanding the concept of geometry and formative evaluation. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling, so that a sample of 90 students. The research instrument is a test of the ability to understand geometric concepts, a geometric thinking level test and formative evaluation. The panelist test was carried out using the Aiken and Hoyt formula to determine the validity and consistency of the instrument, while the test was to determine the difficulty index, discriminating power, validity and reliability of the instrument. The data analysis technique used discriminant analysis. The results showed that (1) understanding of geometric concepts significantly affected the differences in students' geometric thinking level achievement, (2) formative evaluation significantly influenced students' geometric thinking level achievement differences, (3) discriminant function equation D = -11.743 + 0.0034X1 + 0.125 X2 to predict the achievement of geometric thinking level, (4) The percentage accuracy of the discriminant function equation in predicting the difference in the achievement of students' thinking level is 98.9%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the most widely used learning method by special program (PK) students at Mts Muhammadiyah Tawangsari and the results of this study are expected to be used as a source of other research. The research method uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis strategies. The research time is from May – August 2022, the location is at Mts Muhammadiyah Tawangsari with the subject of class IX PK students totaling 28 students. Data collection by triangulation method, namely observation, questionnaires and interviews. Observations were made to determine indicators of student learning, the questionnaire contained 20 statements according to the indicators of learning methods that had been validated by the validator lecturer, and interviews related to learning indicators to strengthen answers from the questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire analysis of 5 indicators, namely the indicator of managing study time got a percentage of 55%, the indicator of repeating the lesson got a percentage of 49%, the concentration indicator got 67%, the indicator of making and reading notes got a percentage of 69%, and the indicator doing assignments got a percentage of 58%. The results of the study can be concluded that the learning method that gets the highest percentage is taking notes and reading notes with a percentage of 69%. Learning how to take notes and read notes is the most frequently used learning method by class VIII Special Program students at Mts Muhammadiyah Tawangsari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui cara belajar yang paling banyak digunakan oleh siswa kelas program khusus (PK) di Mts Muhammadiyah Tawangsari dan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber penelitian yang lain.Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan strategi analisis deskriptif. Waktu penelitian dari bulan Mei – Agustus 2022, lokasi di Mts Muhammadiyah Tawangsari dengan subjek siswa kelas IX PK yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Pengumpulan data dengan metode triangulasi yaitu observasi, angket dan wawancara. Observasi  dilakukan untuk menentukan indikator cara belajar siswa, angket berisi 20 butir pernyataan sesuai dengan indikator cara belajar yang telah divalidasi oleh dosen validator, dan wawancara berkaitan dengan indikator cara belajar untuk memperkuat jawaban dari angket.Hasil analisis angket dari 5 indikator yaitu indikator mengatur waktu belajar memperoleh persentase 55%, indikator mengulangi pelajaran memperoleh persentase 49%, indikator konsentrasi memperoleh 67%, indikator membuat dan membaca catatan memperoleh persentase sebesar 69%, dan indikator mengerjakan tugas memperoleh persentase 58%.Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan cara belajar yang mendapat persentase paling tinggi yaitu mencatat dan membaca catatan dengan persentase 69%. Cara belajar mencatat dan membaca catatan merupakan cara belajar yang paling sering digunakan oleh siswa kelas IX Program Khusus di Mts Muhammadiyah Tawangsari.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy skills are important to master at this time. Mathematical literacy can help solve real world problems more easily and can compare the various kinds of benefits we will get. Of course mastery is not easy to master just like that without being studied in the world of education. One way is by preparing qualified human resources. Related to this, it is necessary to prepare prospective teachers who have good mathematical literacy as well. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that aims to describe the mathematical literacy of elementary school teacher candidates in which the results of this study are expected to be able to provide input for the development of teaching materials. Data collection was carried out using test and interview methods. The research results obtained were that subjects with high mathematical literacy were able to fulfill all indicators well, while subjects with medium and low abilities were able to fulfill all indicators but there were still errors in the application of concepts and calculations.

Abstract

Many factors that affect learning achievement include intelligence, interest and attention, motivation to learn, learning mathematics based on numeracy literacy, perseverance, attitude, study habits, as well as physical and health conditions. Learning mathematics based on numeracy literacy is one of the important factors to improve learning achievement. This study aims to determine the relationship between mathematics learning based on numeracy literacy and student achievement. This research is a quantitative research using a survey method with a correlational approach. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling on all seventh grade students of SMP Miftahus Sa'adah Tarum. Data collection methods used in this study are tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The researcher uses the analysis prerequisite test, namely normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test and hypothesis testing, namely product moment correlation to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between mathematics learning based on numeracy literacy on the learning achievement of seventh grade students of SMP Miftahus Sa'adah Tarum, with r = 0.48 and tcount>ttable , namely 3.09 > 2.06.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the renewal models of the lecture model learning process. For this reason, researchers developed learning media for Inverse Matrix material based on Microsoft power point as a renewal of learning methods. The purpose of developing learning media using power point is so that it can be used without having to install an application specifically, made with a capacity that is not large, but complete, clearly to increase student understanding and achievement. This learning media has been tested for feasibility by experts in the fields of mathematics and multimedia. The test results by experts in the field of mathematics concluded that the material met the syllabi standard in inverse matrix material, while the test results by multimedia experts showed that the appearance was attractive, simple, clear navigation and feasible to implement.
