Abstract

Since al-Qur'an is in written form (read: Manuscripts), since then the Qur'an has an open meaning. Anyone can understand it, interpret, and practice the contents based on their understanding. In Indonesia alone, the interpretation of the Qur'an continues to experience significant developments, until now the study of the interpretation of the Qur'an continues. This paper is going to explain the trends in the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia. Through this paper, it will be seen how far Indonesian scholars 'wrestle' with the interpretation of the Qur'an. How is the development of interpretive thinking from classical, modern and contemporary times. Does the changing times bring Indonesian scholars more dominantly to the development of thought or is it only to the shift of thought from an Eastern to the Western style of understanding. As well as what are the expected implications of interpretive thinking on the needs of the Indonesian context.

Abstract

This study describes the time management of students in Daar al-Furqon Islamic boarding school in memorizing the Qur'an. Santri Daar al-Furqon made good use of time in accordance with the schedule of Islamic boarding school activities. In surah al-Ashr explaining the importance of time, students who memorize the Qur'an must use their time well so that they do not become losers. The purpose of this study was to determine how the time division of santri tahfidz Daar al-Furqon Janggalan, Kota, Kudus. And the use of time in accordance with the interpretation of Surah al-Ashr in the interpretation of al-Misbah relating to time management. Research using field research methods with a qualitative approach. Data collection uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. While the data analysis is done through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions or data verification. The results showed that given the importance of time and loss for people who waste their time and use their time properly in accordance with the schedule in the boarding school. And every student must have time management so that they can utilize memorization time well, by running time management students can get good results from the work done.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an reception does not only occur in the offline world. It also happens in the online world, especially in the social media space. This paper intends to conduct a study of the reception of the al-Qur’an on social media, especially related to the film Ghibah that aired on YouTube. This research uses reception theory and idea transformation, this paper will reveal how the Qur'an receptions and the transformation of the unfortunate ideas contained in the film. The results of this study are the first, three groups of scenes in the film Ghibah receptive to three pieces of verse 12 of Surah al-Hujurat, namely believers are forbidden from gossiping, eating the meat of the gossiped and pious. The film is then received a hegemonic reception by viewers who agree and accept the contents of the message conveyed. Secondly, the idea of gossip when it is published in the film experiences shrinking and summarizing from those contained in the books of interpretation. The scenes that appear and the text that appears in the middle of the film become an important factor in the transformation.

Abstract

Islamic interpretation is a method of Sufi interpretation based on the intuitive knowledge of a Sufi as a result of spiritual cultivation or riyadlah in climbing Sufistic stations (maqamat). Thanks to the riyadlah their inner eyes (bashirah) become clear so that they are able to capture the special sciences that come directly from Allah SWT. The Qur'an for them, besides having the meaning of zahir also has an inner meaning, which can only be understood by certain people of the Sufis, among whom is a Sufi-philosophical figure from Andalusia (Spain) named Shaykh al- Akbar Muhyiddin Ibn'Arabi. This paper is the result of library research (library research) which aims to criticize the epistemological foundation of Ibn ‘Arabi's interpretation.The approach in this study is a qualitative approach in the collection of data using documentary methods, and the analysis of data using descriptive-analysis methods. The findings of this study are that; a) The epistemology of Ibn Arabi ishari's interpretation is difficult to formulate, both the source, method, and systematics because the basic interpretation used is mystical intuition which is derived from divine inspiration which is subjective so that it appears inconsistent and not systematic. b) Normatively, the interpretation of ishari Ibn ‘Arabi, some of them fulfill the interpretation requirements specified by the scholars, but there are also those who do not meet the requirements, because they use ta'wil which is far from the meaning of zahir and is contradicted by most mufassirs. c) From the perspective of Sufism-Falsafi, Ibn ʻArabi's interpretation is entirely acceptable, given his capacity as a top-level Sufi-philosophy with the predicate khatam al-awliya ’.

Abstract

Thinking and dialogue is an inseparable part of life. Various studies about the Prophet Ibrahim as. have been found, but the process of deepening related to thinking process through the dialogue of Prophet Ibrahim as. to Allah Swt is still limited to be discovered. This article is structured to reveal the way of thinking of Prophet Ibrahim as. in his efforts to dialogue with Allah Swt. This paper was prepared using the literature research method, which in this case uses the Qur'an as a primary reference and books, commentaries, and soft ware applications as a secondary reference source. The results show that the dialogue carried out by Prophet Ibrahim as. involves a process of critical thinking, rational thinking, accompanied by curiosity and based on faith and devotion to Allah Swt. Prophet Ibrahim as. who had previously been at the level of "Ilm al-Yaqin", was able to reach the level of "Haqq al-Yaqin". Through this article, it is expected to be able to open up insights for people to think and dialogue in solving life's problems. Of course in this case thinking and dialogue in this life is essentially intended to draw closer to Allah Swt at the level of Haqq al-Yaqin.

Abstract

This article intends to decipher the meaning of jihad in the Koran and the Hadith by using a historical-sociological approach, with the consideration that the growth and development of Islam both during the Mecca and Medina periods cannot be separated from the command of jihad which is explicitly stated explicitly in the verses of the Qur'an and the traditions of the Prophet. Jihad in both sources of Islamic teachings means to be serious in upholding the truth and preventing munkar. However, the meaning of jihad is often misunderstood by both Muslims and non-Muslims internally by giving narrow meanings to jihad which only means physical struggle and even vulnerable to acts of violence. Abstract

Husband and wife relationship is an issue that is always fun to discuss. Many classical literary traditions that leave behind patriarchal culture, therefore this article discusses the question of marital relations in the Qur'an. For example, the wife is often positioned as a person who gets rough, unfair, and discriminatory treatment, even if examined in the QS. Mujādalah [58]: 1-4 shows how God is very concerned about women who are not treated well by their husbands. Through the theory of ma'nā cum maghzā which was popularized by Sahiron Syamsuddin, the writer wanted to offer a new discourse on modern interpretation which covered three things. First interpretation system, linguistic analysis. Second, historical analysis includes asbāb al-nuzūl macro and micro, intratextextuality (munāsabah al-āyat) and itertextextats (isra'iliyyat), Third, namely significance, searching for the deepest meaning of ma'nā towards maghzā of conjugal relations.

Abstract

Millah Ibrahim is the basis that can be used as a reference for interpreting inclusive and exclusive verses.  It is hoped that from this millah Ibrahim can be found the sentences of sawa, the meeting point, and the common platform of the Abrahamic religion (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) and foster peace between religions and minimize conflict in the name of religion.  This research is library research, by studying and analyzing written sources such as the Qur'an and the Bible as well as scientific books that have a common theme.  The approach to be used is the theory of pluralism and esoteric-exoterism.  From this study found three meeting points that will lead to peace in religion.  1. Similarities in terms of the origin of religion.  Jews, Christians and Muslims meet in one central figure, Ibrahim.  2. Harmony of theology or divinity and continuity of revelation.  3. Sharia togetherness.  And the Islam that Muhammad brought was the end of the message carried by the prophets.

Abstract

This article discussed about the interpretation of Ahkam al-Qur’an study of the interpretation of AbuBakr Muhammad bin ‘Abdullah al-Ma'ruf bin al-’Arabi. The main problems that will be answered are; first, what are the external realities that influence the thought of Ibn al-’Arabi in the interpretation of Ahkam al-Qur'an. Second, what is the process of objectivation that is built up in the commentary Ahkam al-Qur’an. Third, how can existing objective reality be formulated by Ibn al-Arabi in the form of internalization through Ahkam al-Qur’an so as to produce a product of contextual interpretation in the era.This study used the analysis of sociology of Peter L. Berger's knowledge. Some of the stages that were passed were in the form of inventorying data, selecting and classifying it, then reconstructing and conducting a critical analysis of the basic assumptions.The results of this study included; First, in terms of externalization, the sociology of knowledge aims to see the outpouring of the ideas of Ibn al-abiArabi in the book Ahkam al-Qur’an, where the ideas were born from the socio-political context of Andalusia. Second, the process of objectification of Ibn al-’Arabi is an objective reality which he developed through his scientific and thought methodology. Simply put, the science and mindset shown by Ibn al-Arabi is reflected in his views on the Koran and interpretation, commentary bi al-ma’sur, and the verses of law. Third, as a result of the objective reality gave birth to the internalization process. This process is purely an individual product, but at the same time as a social product, because no alternative thought arises except departing from thinking that is generally considered to have been established. In the context of the discourse developed by Ibn al-’Arabi, the alternation processes are present in between the substance of Ibn al-Arabi's thought which shows its objective reality. Thus, the internalization process is always present as a result of direct consequences of existing objective reality.This can be deduced from the characteristics of Ibn al-‘Arabi's thought inherent in the commentary Ahkam al-Qur’an. However, as far as this research is concerned, there is something unique and distinctive that is presented by Ibn al-Arabi, namely its moderation in responding to various differences of understanding in interpretation. Besides his bigotry also does not make him blasphemers for those who differ in understanding, he remains a student who always respects the teachers he has quoted in his commentary.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out the meaning of the study maqôsidi in the interpretation, to look for the historical roots of the use of maqôsid as an independent branch of knowledge, who are the scholars who are keen to concentrate on the maqôsid theory then what are the examples of maqôsid usage in the world of the Qur'anic interpretation. This study uses qualitative without mentioning numbers, the primary source of this literature study from several master books such as the Asy-Syâthibi book which is famous as the father of maqôsid. Then the result of the findings is that the intention of the maqôsid in the world of interpretation is the review of the Qur'an seeking wisdom, reasons and lessons to get a kind of wordl view from it. Then the history begins with Umar bin Khattab, Imam Haromain, Ghazali, Asy-Syâthibi, Ibnu ‘Âsyûr to ar-Raisûni. Which is an example of the use of maqôsid in interpretation is the interpretation of QS. Al-Mâidah: 51, QS. Al-Mâidah: 6 QS. Al-Baqarah: 187.
