Abstract

ICU patients who are fitted with breathing equipped, especially mechanical ventilation, tend to have limited activity or immobilization. Long-term immobilization is a high risk factor that causes pressure ulcer. Appropriate prevention is needed because pressure ulcer has a detrimental impact on body functions and quality of life. This study aimed at identifying the effect of progressive mobilization on pressure ulcer incident in patient with mechanical ventilation in Intensive Care Unit at Mangusada Hospital.Design of this study was Pre Experiment (one group pretest and posttest design) with the number of sample was 6 respondents which was chosen through Purposive Sampling technique. Instrument used in this study was a standard procedure of Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS) and observation sheet of Decubitus.The result of the test indicated most of respondent experience grade I pressure ulcer (decubitus) before being given progressive mobilization therapy and after the therapy, all respondents (100%) did not showed pressure ulcer (decubitus) incident. Wilcoxon test showed that there was an effect of progressive mobilization on pressure ulcer incident in patient with mechanical ventilation in Intensive Care Unit at Mangusada Hospital (p-value = 0,042). Based on the results of this study, it is expected that this study can be used as an evidence based practice nursing, especially about pressure ulcer.

Abstract

Objective : Early breastfeeding initiation  is a baby who starts breastfeeding himself immediately after birth given the chance of baby's skin contact with his mother's skin which is done for at least an hour immediately after birth, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations to reduce infant mortality and support exclusive breastfeeding , which is also the main cause of infant mortality in Indonesia is neonatal mortality by 46.2%.Methods : This type of research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional study design which is carried out in hospital. TK.II Pelamonia Makassar, the population in this study was puerperal mothers of 158 respondents.Results : The results of this study indicate that of the 158 respondents who did IMD as many as 69.6% and those who did not do IMD 30.4%. on the attitude variable obtained significant results (sig. = 0,000) or p value <0, 05 where there is a relationship between attitude and IMD.Conclusion : There is no meaningful relationship between knowledge and IMD at Tk Hospital. II Pelamonia Makassar and There is a significant relationship between attitude and IMD in Tk. II Pelamonia Makassar.

Abstract

Objective : Stroke is an acute neurological deficit disease caused by brain blood vessel disordes that occur suddenly, damage to brain cells after a stroke causes disability in cognitive, sensory and motor functions .Methods : This research method uses descriptive analytic type with cross sectional study design. Sampling using simple random sampling technique, obtained 59 respondents. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire and analyzed with the chi square test (p>0.05)Results : Bivariate analysis  results showed a self management of patients after stroke (p=0.003), which means less than (α < 0.05).Conclusion : Self-management in post-stroke patients in Dadi District Hospital South Sulawesi Province is not good

Abstract

Objective:  This study aims to see how Salatiga’s goverment identificaton and they handles HIV/AIDS casesMethods:  This study applies qualitative method by using Single Case Embedded Study Results:  The results of this study showed that there are differences in the role of each institution that is Commission on AIDS, non-governmental organizations, health facilities, and citizen care AIDS contributes to the identification and handling of HIV/AIDS cases in the city of Salatiga besides the implementation of the program and identify the prevention of HIV/AIDS in Salatiga City refers to the local regulation of the city of Salatiga.Conclusion:  The identification and handling of HIV/AIDS cases in Salatiga is conducted referring to local regulation of the city of Salatiga  by integrating with hospitals, health centers, NGOS and key populations.

Objective: This study aims to identify the role of Academic Potential Test as the predictor of student achievement in first year in nursing program Methods: This research used quantitative research design with correlative methode involving 89 students in first year nursing diploma program.Results: This research obtained p value 0.02, means there is a significant correlation between Academic Potential Test and student achievement in first year Nursing Program.Conclusion: The Academic Potential Test could be the predictor of  student achievement in first year
