The journal invites original research articles and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The whole spectrum of research in mathematics education are welcome, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is a teaching and learning theory in mathematics education that was first introduced and developed by Freudenthal. Two of his important points of views are mathematics must be connected to reality and mathematics as human activity. RME is implemented following three principles, they are: (1) guided reinvention and progressive mathematizing, (2) didactical phenomenology, and (3) self-developed model. Furthermore, the practice of RME also has its own characteristics, they are: (1) phenomenological exploration or the use of contexts, (2) the use of models or bridging by vertical instruments, (3) the use of students own productions and constructions or students contribution, (4) the interactive character of the teaching process or interactivity, and (5) the intertwining of various learning strands. A paper is eligible to be included in this topic if the paper accommodates these three principles and these five characteristics. Design Research in Mathematics Education Educational design research is perceived as the systematic study of designing, developing and evaluating educational interventions (programs, teaching-learning strategies and materials, products, systems) as solutions to such problems. It also aims at advancing our knowledge about the characteristics of these interventions and the processes to design and develop them. Authors could submit their work, either a validation study or a development study in mathematics education, with a comprehensive description and analysis of every stage. Mathematics Ability Mathematics ability refers to the ability (a human construct) to obtain, to process, and to retain mathematical information (cognitive) and to solve mathematics problem (pragmatic). To maintain the focus of this journal, the scope of mathematics ability includes the following abilities: reasoning, connection, communication, representation, and problem-solving. A paper is eligible for this topic if it comprehensively discusses those abilities.

Abstract

This research is school action research. The research subjects were 8 teachers. Data collection methods in this study are observation, and documentation. Data validation was done by triangulation technique. Data analysis was done by descriptive technique. The results of the study showed that the skills of teachers in teaching with powerpoint-based learning techniques increased. The increase in the average value of the observations from 47.29 with LESS criteria, in the initial conditions, to 65.63 with ENOUGH criteria in the first cycle and in the last cycle to 83.54 with VERY GOOD criteria. Individual skill improvement improved in each cycle, namely 0% in the initial conditions, increased to 25% or 2 teachers in the first cycle and increased to 8 teachers or 100% in the last cycle with an explanation of 5 teachers or 62.50% in the criteria VERY GOOD and 3 teachers or 37.50% in GOOD criteria

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for a combination of games in every lesson that is taught, especially learning mathematics. So testing the effectiveness of the use of Congklak Game Media in Learning Operations Counting Addition and Subtraction of Numbers in Class 1 students of SDN Surodadi 2 Ponjong Gunungkidul was carried out quantitatively. In this study obtained (RHO) observation = 0.826, while (RHO) table in the significance level of 5% = 0.576 and in the significance level of 5% = 0.708, it can be seen that (RHO) observation (0.826) > (RHO) tables (0.576) and (0.708). Thus, with N = 12 and a significance level of 5% and 1%, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive correlation between the use of Congklak Game Media and Learning Operations Counting Addition and Subtraction of Numbers in Class 1 SDN Surodadi II Ponjong Gunungkidul.

Abstract

This research is an attempt to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes using The Power of Two method. The type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). Subjects totaled 22 students. Data collection was carried out using observation, test and documentation techniques. The data validation in this action research is democratic, process, and dialogic validity. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning motivation increased from 7 students (31.82%) in the initial condition to 54.55% or 12 students in the first cycle and 20 or 90.91% in the last cycle. The explanation of mastery learning before the improvement of learning is 22.73% or 5 students, increased in the first cycle 12 students or 54.55% and in the last cycle to 19 students or 86.36% with an average value of learning outcomes of 63 .18 to 73.18 and in the last cycle to 82.73

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of plant structure material in fourth grade students of SDN Jatisari through the use of project based learning models. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were 30 students. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the mastery of the first cycle with the classical percentage of 53% (medium) and the second cycle with the classical percentage of 87% (very good). Affective domain learning outcomes increased from 66.75% (good), in the second cycle the percentage was 78% (good). Psychomotor learning outcomes increased from a percentage of 65.65% (good), while in the second cycle the percentage was 78.05% (good). From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model can improve learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SDN Jatisari in the science learning content of the material properties of light.

Abstract

Learning during the pandemic is carried online by paying attention to the situation and conditions when the Covid-19 outbreak hit the whole world. From the results of the study, it was found that the online learning models that are widely used are WAG (Whatsapp Group), Google For Education (Google Form, Google Classroom, Google Drive), Youtube, Zoom Meeting. The obstacles experienced were unstable communication signals, running out of internet quota, parents' cellphones being brought to work, students accompanied by their parents doing homework at night. While the advantages of online learning are flexible, complete reference sources, and adaptive to technology. Online learning bridges between students and teachers so that learning can still take place even though in different places. This shows that the role of technology dominates in the field of education. Compared to before the use of online learning, conventional learning still prioritizes face-to-face and manual use of equipment such as blackboards, markers, erasers and text books and note books. The development of education in industry 4.0 must be accelerated quickly, especially in the development of education which should no longer discuss the use of technology but rather the development of technology in the use of education, for example in online learning which should be more effective in the implementation of learning. the industry must be a real solution in maximizing education during a pandemic and post-pandemic by developing knowledge in the use of technology.
