Abstract

The score of student’s learning achievement of tenth graders of Light Vehicle Technique (TKR) of SMK Negeri 1 Sukamara on battery construction material based on the observation result was still below the average of Minimum Completeness Criterion Standard (KKM) with 75 standard values. This showed that the lessons learned by previous teacher was less effective, only informative and teacher-centered without involving students actively in learning on battery construction materials. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of Concept Mapping Methods on student learning outcomes of tenth graders of TKR SMK NEGERI 1 Sukamara 2015/2016 academic year. The subjects of the research were 32 students of tenth grade of TKR SMK Negeri 1 Sukamara 2015/2016 Academic Year. This research design used the one group pretest posttest design. This research consisted of one class that was single group as class which has given treatment in the form of Concept Mapping method. The instrument used Multiple Choice test consisted of 40 items for pre-test and posttest. The result of data indicated that there was effect from Concept Mapping method toward student learning outcomes in tenth grade of TKR SMK Negeri 1 Sukamara. That means Hypothesis accepted. The result can be seen from the calculation using ttest. Tobserved compared with the ttable where the df was 31. The standard level of significance was 5% = 2,04. In manual calculation, it was found that tobserved was higher than the value of ttable in significance at 5% or 2,586> 2,04. Then the data was calculated using t0 SPSS 21 program, the result was value t0 higher than ttable at significance level of 5%, ttest = 2,586> ttabel = 2,04.

Abstract

In the learning process, the teachers still rely on conventional learning model without making the variation which is more interesting, conducive and pleasant in classroom atmosphere. Teachers stated that students understand the material that has been taught without trying to confirm the students' understanding of the material. This causing the active role of students in learning does not be achieved, and students tend to be passive in the learning process at school. With these activities, the value of students during the learning to use the lecture method is very low in which at below average value 65. The minimum completeness standard is at 70 that there should be an improvement in the learning activities to increase students' grade. It would be achieve Namely by using model The Make A Match students. This can be active and focus on learning also noticed that students can exchange ideas and information inter classmates. The purpose of this study to determine whether there is influence between the learning outcomes of students taught by conventional methods on the material in class X Drafting TSM SMK 1 Palangka Raya. The sampling was conducted using random sampling techniques. Samples were first involved 30 students in class TSM as class experiments using model-type Make A Match and the second sample envolved 33 students in class as a class TKR control using conventional learning models based on the teaching and researching as the kind of experiment. In the present study, the instrument is in the form of multiple-choice tests to collect data of student learning outcomes. Data was analyzed with normality test, homogeneity, and the t-test, the normality test for the Post Test Experiment class is x²counting <x²tablel, namely 8.61 <11.070. Post Test and Normality test grade control x²hitung <x²tablel, namely 8.21 <11.070, to obtain homogeneity test of F = (0,42) <F table (2.37), and other homogeneous. Finally we can conclude that t-test obtained t = 3.7> TTable = 2.000 then H_o H_1 can be accepted. H_1 is influenc of student learning outcomes significantly between using model Make A Match, with the use of conventional learning models in class X SMK Negeri 1 Palangkaraya at academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

In the learning process, the teachers still rely on conventional learning model without making the variation more interesting thus the classroom atmosphere being more conducive and pleasant. Teachers think that students understand the material that has been taught, without trying to repeat or to connect with the students' understanding of the material. This makes the active role of students in learning is not visible, and students tend to be passive in the learning process at school. With these activities, the value of students during the learning to use the lecture method is very low below the average value is 68.45. While the minimum completeness criteria 70 there should be an improvement in the learning activities that increase students' grades. That is by using Word Square student learning model can be active and focus on learning also noticed that students can exchange ideas and information to classmates. The purpose of this study to determine whether there is influence between the learning of students taught by conventional methods in materials Processes Describing Energy Conversion Machines in class X TKR SMK 1 Palangkaraya. Sampling was conducted using random sampling techniques. Samples were first involved 32 students in class TKR as a class experiment using model Word Square and the second sample involved 31 students in class as a class TSM control using conventional learning models that are lectures and research is a kind of experiment. In the present study, the instrument in the form of multiple-choice tests is to collect data of student learning outcomes. Data was analyzed with normality test, homogeneity, and the t-test, the normality test for the Post Test Experiment class is x²hitung <x²tablel, namely 8.61 <11.070. Post Test Normality test grade control x²hitung <x²tablel, namely 8.61 <11.070, to obtain homogeneity test of F = (1.18) <F table (2.53), and otherwise homogeneous. And can we conclude t-test obtained t = 6.4> TTable = 2.000 then Ho and H1 are rejected. H1 = influences of student learning outcomes significantly between learning models that use Word Square, by the use of conventional learning models in class X SMK Negeri 1 Palangkaraya in Academic Year 2015/2016.

Abstract

The cooperative model with SQ3R learning model is a learning design which is able to develop and shape the positive character of students. The purpose of this research is to find: (1) Teacher’s role to student in unterstanding the learning after using cooperative learning by applying the SQ3R learning model, (2). The completeness of student’s learning outcome, and (3) Student’s response in understanding the battery maintenance subject after applying SQ3R Model. This research adopted the descriptive research type in which the sample was using whole students of class x at second semester in SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya at academic year 2015/2016. The sample was selected from population by using class sample (class X) at about 34 students involving the instruments such as observation of teacher’s role to students, cognitive learning outcomes test, and the questionnaire of student’s response. The data analyis result indicated that the ability in understanding the application of SQ3R learning model is by an average percentage of first meering at about 91.66 % categorized as excellent, second meeting at around 62.72 % categorized as good, third meeting at about 93.75 % categorized as excellent, and fourth meeting at about 92.70 % categorized as excellent. The individually cooperative learning model obtained by 28 studnets as passing grade status and 4 students experiencing the failed result. Classically, the learning stated is complete with percentage at about 87.50 % successful students. The passing grade of TPK gotten by 19 TPK or at 68.75 % as complete result from 35 TPK. The student’s response to the battery maintenance by applying SQ3R model was expressing the interest to learning model conveyed with percentage at 90.60 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the mechanical behavior of geopolymer concrete using the variation in maximum size of coarse aggregate in the term of compressive strength and splitting-tensile strength. This study used variation on maximum size of course aggregate namely 10 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm. Fly ash is from AsamAsam Steam Electricity Power Plant, Indonesia. Cylindrical test specimen (size 100 mm x 200 mm) with number of test specimens counted 10 pieces for each variant of maximum size of aggregate coarse. The mixture of geopolymer concrete in this experiment contain fly ash of 400 kg/m3 with alkaline activator is Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) with molarity of 10 M and Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3). The ratio of Na2SiO3 to NaOH is 2:1 and the ratio of alkaline activator to fly ash is 0.4. Tests conducted for compressive strength test and tensile strength at age 14 and 21 day. The result shows that the smaller the maximum size of coarse aggregate, the greater compressive strength and splitting-tensile strength. Compressive strength and splitting-tensile strength for specimen with 10 mm, 20 mm, and 30 mm maximum size of aggregate are 11.04 MPa and 6.12 MPa, 10.82 MPa and 5.22 MP, 10.06 MPa and 4.84 MPa respectively.

Abstract

This research was motivated by student learning outcomes in a variety of styles materials in building structures of class X Stone and Concrete Construction Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. It has not been as expected, such as learning results of class X TKBB 2013/2014 school year in which the school year 2014 / 2015 and 2015/2016 school year were only 43.47%, 54.16%, and 53.57% of students who meet the KKM and other students have not reached the KKM standard achievement. This is caused that students are more tending to be passive, silent and less involved in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes after implementing cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT). This research is a descriptive study, in which data used in this research is quantitative data in the form of the final test. The data were analyzed using individual mastery and classical completeness. The research was conducted on September 5, 2016 to the date of October 3, 2016. The subject of the study 25 students of class X TKBB SMK 1 of Palangka Raya in Academic Year 2016/2017. The instrument used in this study is the final test. Problem final test of 40 multiple choice questions. Each end of the test items have been reviewed by three people in which consisting of two lecturers from vocational technology education Palangka Raya University and a teacher of engineering mechanics TKBB class X SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya to obtain validity matter. This study shows that student learning outcomes by the end of the test obtained by the level of achievement of 73.6%, there are 20 students completed (80%), and 5 students did not complete (20%). Classical completeness students have achieved. It concluded that the student learning outcomes were improved after applying the type cooperative learning TGT

Abstract

At the research, it was found a lot of students who lack in motivation to learn. Similarly, discovered at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya including this school has the students' achievement motivation which was substandard. Based on this background, the authors conducted research that aims to determine connected learning motivation and student achievement in vocational school of Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya. The method used in this research was quantitative research using correlational research approaches to find the relationship of learning motivation and academic achievement. The population in this study was all students in class XI SMK TKR Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya for second semester of academic year 2015/2016 with a total of as many as 57 students. Samples were taken with a sample or samples to be saturated where all the population used as a sample is about numbered at 57 students. Instruments motivation to learn before doing research conducted trials instrument in SMK 1 Palangkaraya with the number of respondents as many as 25 students. The technique of collecting data was using questionnaires and documentation of the average value of the first semester report cards of grade XI TKR. From the data normality test has showed that motivation to learn and student achievement have normal distribution.The results of the study authors obtained is a significant relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of students in Class XI SMK TKR Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya at academic year 2015/2016. This is based on the calculation analysis of the correlation coefficient r obtained by the 0.48 price turned out to be located above the 5% significance level of 0.26, or 1% of 0.34. Moreover, it is known that the contribution of learning motivation on student achievement in class XI SMK TKR Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya 2015/2016 at academic year by 23%, while 77% is determined by other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to know: (1) teacher activity while applying learning of Numbered Head Together on the subject matter of the Starter System, (2) student activity of eleventh grade students (TKR) of SMK NEGERI 1 Sukamara while following application of learning model of Numbered Head Together, (3) students response at eleventh grade students (TKR) of SMK NEGERI 1 Sukamara on learning by using the learning model of Numbered Head Together (NHT) on the subject matter of the starter system, (4) the result of student learning of eleventh grade students (TKR) of SMK NEGERI 1 Sukamara after following learning model of Numbered Head Together (NHT) on the subject matter of the starter system. This research was quantitative descriptive, this research took subject of eleventh grade students (TKR) of SMK NEGERI 1 Sukamara selected as research subject. The instruments used were Cognitive Learning Result Test, Students Activity Sheet, Teacher Activity Sheet and Student Response Questionnaire, and student learning outcomes involving Cognitive and Psychomotor aspects. The results of data analysis indicated that the overall shows that the student activity performed well. The completeness of cognitive learning tests individually there were 26 finished (92%) and 2 unfinished (8%). Classically this learning was said to be completed because the percentage of completeness obtained (92.39%).
