J-Sil (Jurnal Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan or Journal of Civil and Environmental Engineering) was established in 2016 and managed by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IPB University (Bogor Agricultural University). The journal aims at disseminating original and quality academic papers that deemed potential to contribute to the advancement of science and technology in the field of civil and environmental engineering to support sustainable developments. The journal covers any scopes within civil and environmental engineering, such as structure, irrigation, drainage, water quality, water construction, hydrology, water management, groundwater conservation, soil mechanics, foundation, soil improvement, slope stability, liquefaction, and soil modeling, road engineering, transportation management, construction management, environmental atmosphere and climate change environment (control of greenhouse gases, air quality models, climate change locally and globally), renewable energy and waste management (recovery of energy from waste, incineration, landfills, and green energy, biotechnology environment (nano-bio sensors, bioenergy, environmental eco-engineering), technology, physical, biological, and chemical (membrane technology, the process of advanced oxidation technology Physico-chemical, biological treatment of water), engineering environmental control (desalination, ICA (instruments, control , and automation), and water reuse technologies) and Applied Geomatics. The journal receives original papers from various contributors, such as academicians, scientists, researchers, practitioners, and students from all over the world.

Abstract

Earthquake risk in Jakarta is one of intermediate category in Indonesia based on the 2010 seismic hazard map published by the Ministry of Public Works of Republic Indonesia. The purpose of this research was to know the ultimate performance limit of the existing X building in Jakarta. Evaluation of these building was based on guidelines SNI 03-1726-2012, SNI 03-2847-2013 and PPPURG 1987. The structure model of X building was designed and analyzed using ETABS Version 9.7.2. The result showed value of story drift was affected by dynamic response spectrum load, the maximum drift in x–direction is 68.60 mm and y–direction is 101.2 mm. The X building was declared unsafe in performance condition of the ultimate limits. It was important to know the condition of the building that would be affected by earthquake load and to prevent collapse of the building structures that could cause loss of live people in the building and the collisions between buildings. Abstract

This paper presents the results of experimental investigation into the behaviour of concrete mixed with recycled-based materials as partial replacement of natural sand. Various properties: compressive, split tensile and flexural strength were investigated through either single or combination replacement categories in which glass sand, rubber sand, and recycled concrete aggregate were specifically proportioned. Test results indicate that certain replacement types of possibly achieve sufficient strength and physical behaviour to replace normal concrete. Single replacements typically generate higher compressive, tensile and flexural strength than combination types. Concrete with lower content of alternative material exhibited comparable strength relative to the original concrete. The workability of higher angular surface material such as glass sand and rubber sand generated higher workability. Keywords: concrete strength; glass; rubber; particles; replacement

Abstract

Waste bank is an activity of non-governmental program to maintain an environment health by separating household waste into organic and non-organic category. Waste bank is managed using a system such as banking conducted by officers.  For Depok city, Waste bank program have a positive impact in declining of waste volume. However, the bank's activities are currently still carried out in the activist’s houses, public services house, and the path of the residential. Infact, waste bank have potency to support Ciliwung ecotourism planning by Depok government. This study uses Kaizen Management and Planning Method for Architectural Design. The result of this research is a schematic design model of Waste Bank building by research of society’s needs for the better environment health.Key words: eco-friendly building, energy saving, green building, waste bank model

Abstract

Reinforced concrete generally use steel reinforce material. Steel is quarry material that someday be exhausted and relatively high price. Hence,need to find the substitution material which a more affordable with the structure power that equivalent. Bamboo can be assessed solution as a substitution material of steel reinforce. This research looked at a bending capacity of the bamboo petung  reinforce concrete beams with notch is 2 cm and 3 cm. The sectional form of the reinforce bamboo of arch ( 1 / 4 ) circle and  ( 1 / 2 ) circle.  Tensile testing sample of bamboo obtained average value of bamboo tensile strength  is 288.81 mpa .A mixture of concrete f‘c = 17.5 MPa with the mixtures by virtue of SNI 7394-2008 .The  testing results of compressive strength at the age of 3 days concrete 9.837 MPa . Sample  beams made about 9 type reinforcement .From the flexural testing at the age of 28 days type reinforcement TB4 have flexural strength of 10.167 MPa value flexural approach strength  steel reinforcement beams of 12.00024 Mpa.Keywords : bamboo petung, flexural beams, reinforcement bamboo

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengolahan air limbah diperlukan agar kualitas air limbah sesuai dengan baku mutu dan tidak membahayakan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas air limbah berdasarkan parameter BOD, COD, TSS, dan pH di influen serta efluen masing-masing unit instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL), membandingkan efisiensi penurunan konsentrasi pencemar dengan literatur, dan membandingkan kualitas air limbah di outlet dengan baku mutu. Penelitian menggunakan sampel yang diambil di IPAL Bojongsoang Bandung dan pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium PDAM Kota Bandung. Efisiensi pengurangan pencemar terbesar pada unit set A yaitu untuk parameter TSS 66,67%, BOD 87,55%, dan COD 81,28%. Pada unit set B efisiensi pengurangan pencemar terbesar adalah parameter TSS sebesar 55,88%, BOD 73,91%, dan COD 73,05%. Unit pengolahan di set A telah memenuhi syarat untuk parameter BOD dan COD untuk oxidation ditch (80-90%). Konsentrasi di outlet pada unit set A untuk TSS 50 mg/l, BOD 27 mg/l, COD 67 mg/l, dan pH 6,5, sedangkan di unit set B untuk TSS 75 mg/l, BOD 21 mg/l, COD 45 mg/l, dan pH 6,5. Dibandingkan dengan baku mutu yang berlaku nilai parameter COD dan pH telah memenuhi standar.Kata kunci: BOD, COD, evaluasi kinerja, IPAL, pH, TSS
