Abstract

The goal of this study was to determine the extent to which fifth-grade students at SD Budya Wacana I Yogyakarta accepted the teachings of God's word based on James 1:19-21 during the academic year 2020/2021. This study employs quantitative research methods. Data is collected using a Likert scale and processed using several tests run through SPSS 20. Instrument validation and reliability tests, as well as normality tests, are used. To test the hypothesis, use the Confidence Interval formula with a 5% significance level, the regression significance test (Freg), and the one-way variance test (one-way ANOVA). The results showed that the magnitude of the contribution of accepting the teachings of God's Word with the implementation of becoming doers of the word based on James 1:19-27 For fifth-grade students at SD Budya Wacana I Academic Year 2020/2021 (Y), the regression equation Y = b + b1D1, Y = 9.636 + 1.651 D1, with a calculated F coefficient of 329.830 and a P-value of 0.000, These results indicate that the regression equation is very significant or very meaningful. The value of the correlation coefficient (ry1) between receiving the teachings of God's Word and the implementation of being a doer of the word based on James 1:19-27 For fifth-grade students at SD Budya Wacana I, Academic Year 2020/2021 (Y) of 0.934, with a positive relationship, and the influence in the category is very strong.

The focus of this research is to recognize and understand the history of the Pontianak Archdiocese Church in the course of Church history. Many people do not know the history of the Pontianak Archdiocese. However, the splendor of the Pontianak Archdiocese Church is well known, even abroad, especially in the Vatican Rome. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative methodology with a literature study approach regarding the Influence of Church History in the History of the Pontianak Archdiocese and current developments. Researchers used book sources, journal sources, and internet sources. History is an event and events that really happened in the past. The church is an association of people who follow Jesus Christ. Church history is a journey of the past of the Church that has occurred after the coming of Jesus Christ. Church history does not just appear but is a legacy of Church Fathers who were willing to be martyred in order to fight for and at the same time defend the truth of the faith. The church's mission is to bring people to God's salvation. The Pontifical Archdiocese Church has a long history, and has faced challenges and obstacles, both internally and externally. What started as the Apostolic Vicariate of Dutch Borneo, changed to the Archdiocese of Pontianak. Studying the history of the Pontianak Archdiocese Church is something that must be continued because that is where researchers get a very meaningful understanding. So this article aims to understand how the history of the Church and the history of the Pontifical Archdiocese has grown and developed today. The results of this study indicate that the Historical Journey of the Pontianak Archdiocese follows the journey of early Church history that was championed by the Church Fathers. Thus it can be concluded that the emergence of the history of the Archdiocese of Pontianak came from foreign missionaries.

Abstract

In general, researchers who discuss the Apostle Paul's teaching about spouses only base it on one verse, namely 2 Corinthians 6:14 and ignore the text of the title in this verse. The verses before and after, namely 2 Corinthians 6:11-18 have not been studied, that's why researchers are interested in discussing them. Even though this verse is very fundamental for young Christians to know, not all Christian youths read or hear this topic preached intensely in church or in various other Christian services. Likewise, Christian parents don't all read this verse or hear it preached, so parents don't teach their children the principles and standards of God's word for their children in finding a life partner. As a result, it often happens that there are believers who leave their faith in the Lord Jesus because of mistakes in choosing a life partner. The purpose of this research is to find the basic principles of the Apostle Paul's teaching about choosing a life partner based on 2 Corinthians 6:11-18, so that both Christian youths and Christian parents can make this teaching of the Apostle Paul the basic principle and standard. in choosing a life partner according to God's Word. The method used in this research is qualitative with a literature study approach. The results of research on the teachings of the Apostle Paul about life partners based on 2 Corinthians 6:11-18 are life partners that God wants are balanced, namely having faith and maintaining holiness until the holy wedding day.
