E-Amal: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat contains various activities of the teaching staff in LP2M STP Mataram in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involve the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. In the following year of publication, the journal is going to publish trianually. Any interested author could submit the manuscript following the submission guidelines. Please read these guidelines carefully. Authors who want to submit their manuscript to the editorial office of Jurnal Amal should obey the writing guidelines. If the manuscript submitted is not appropriate with the guidelines or written in a different format, it will be REJECTED by the editors before further reviewed. The editors will only accept the manuscripts which meet the assigned format. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Desk Review and Initial Manuscript Evaluation processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to the Mitra Bebestari/peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by Double-Blind Peer-Review Process. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. Abstract

Kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris (Burm. f.) Bedd.) one of the typical plants of South Kalimantan which has many benefits, not only often consumed as food, also useful as treatment, which is diarrhea disease. This study aims to determine the standardization of simplisia and phytochemical screening of ethyl acetate extract of kelakai leaves and in-vitro antibacterial tests against bacteria cause diarrhea e.coli & salmonella typhi. The research method begins with the preparation of simplisia, ethyl acetate extract of kelakai leaves, in-vitro antibacterial testing against bacteria cause diarrhea e.coli & salmonella typhi with a concentration variation of 12.5%; 25%; 37.5% & 50%. The results obtained on kelakai leaf simplisia are drying shrinkage with an average 7.5%. Water soluble juice content with an average 24% and ethanol soluble juice content with an average 19%. Phytochemical screening of ethyl acetate extract of kelakai leaves is positive for alkaloids, tannins, phenols, saponins, and flavonoids. This study shows antibacterial activity against bacteria that cause diarrhea, namely e.coli and salmonella typhi, has good potential with a concentration of 12.5% as seen from the diameter of the inhibition zone formed including the medium category, which is 10.18 mm in salmonella typhi bacteria and 10.86 mm in e.coli bacteria

Abstract

Waduk Jatibarang merupakan salah satu sumber daya air yang penting bagi masyarakat sekitar, terutama dalam hal penyediaan air bersih dan irigasi. Namun, permasalahan ekosistem dan kualitas air waduk telah menjadi perhatian serius dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, terutama akibat penumpukan limbah eceng gondok. Limbah ini tidak hanya mengganggu ekosistem perairan, tetapi juga menyebabkan peningkatan sedimentasi yang berdampak negatif pada kualitas air dan masa pakai waduk. Upaya mengatasi permasalahan ini, kami memperkenalkan konsep kemitraan antara pemerintah daerah, lembaga riset, dan masyarakat setempat untuk mengubah limbah eceng gondok menjadi eco enzyme. Eco enzyme adalah senyawa biologis yang dihasilkan melalui fermentasi limbah organik, dan memiliki potensi besar dalam mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan. Proses pengolahan limbah eceng gondok menjadi eco enzyme tidak hanya mengurangi penumpukan limbah, tetapi juga menghasilkan produk yang memiliki banyak manfaat. Eco enzyme dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk organik yang meningkatkan kesuburan tanah, sehingga membantu pertanian lokal. Selain itu, eco enzyme juga memiliki sifat pembersih yang efektif untuk membersihkan perairan dari polusi. Program kemitraan ini juga mencakup pelatihan bagi masyarakat setempat dalam pengelolaan eco enzyme. Dengan melibatkan komunitas lokal, kami berharap untuk menciptakan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya lingkungan dan mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam upaya pelestarian waduk Jatibarang. Hasil studi awal menunjukkan bahwa konsep kemitraan dalam pengolahan limbah eceng gondok menjadi eco enzyme memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan waduk Jatibarang. Upaya kolaboratif ini merupakan langkah positif menuju solusi inovatif yang dapat membantu mengatasi masalah lingkungan yang meruncing sekaligus meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah memunculkan berbagai kemudahan bagi masyakarat. Salah satu bentuk perkembangan tersebut adalah munculnya media online sebagai saluran penyebar informasi terbesar. Akan tetapi, munculnya media online sebagai saluran informasi juga menimbulkan dampak negatif. Salah satu dampak negatif dari hal tersebut adalah maraknya penyebaran berita hoax di masyarakat melalui media online. Masyarakat pedesaan memiliki potensi lebih rentan menjadi korban berita hoax dikarenakan tingkat literasi digitan masyarakat pedesaan yang lebih rendah dibanding dengan masyarakat perkotaan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya penanaman pemahaman kepada masyarakat Desa Patikraja melalui sosialisasi agar masyarakat dapat meyikapi suatu informasi dengan baik. Dengan adanya sosialisasi ini, masyarakat Desa Patikraja menjadi tanggap dalam menyebarkan suatu informasi, memahami cara penggunaan media online yang tepat, dan mampu mengidentifikasi berita hoax sehingga tidak akan menjadi korban penipuan dari berita hoax

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 points of collective agreement produced at the 70th session of the United Nations (UN) in New York, United States. The sixth SDGs point aims at "Clean Water and Adequate Sanitation". The main problem of circulation and sanitation of the Jatibarang Reservoir is frequent flooding and contamination of clean water for community needs. The purpose of community service activities is to implement SDGs point 6 and strive to realize community welfare. All activities related to optimizing circulation and repairing water sanitation channels implement the community approach method first, followed by analyzing the problems and potential solutions needed through the channel condition survey process, then applying observation and documentation methods that are implemented in repair activities and testing the results of repairing sanitation channels and water circulation in Jatibarang Reservoir. Repair and optimization of circulation and sanitation channels of Jatibarang Reservoir water in the context of community empowerment are guided by the rules of proper sanitation channel repair, so as to realize goal number 6 of the SDG's, namely access to clean water and proper sanitation. Proper sanitation channels and water circulation include differentiating waste water channels with toilet waste, improving sanitation facilities with structured suitability, there are efforts to control pollution (through the improvement of control basins and gradual filtration systems), presence of water catchment areas, and periodic channel monitoring access

Abstract

The Sedya Karya Makmur Farmers Group is a group of rice cultivators whose harvest results are often not optimal due to planthopper pest attacks. Farmers use pesticides to deal with planthopper pest attacks. However, spraying pesticides can damage the environment in the long term. For this reason, the service team offers a solution by making an ATMI MADI tool (Rice Plant Pest Control Tool). This tool is powered by IoT and EBT-based solar cells, which is a system that uses solar power to operate a device that functions as a pest exterminator for rice plants. This tool can emit sound with a sound frequency of around 200Hz to 300Hz based on IoT, and emit light of 570nm to 590nm which can attract pests towards the tool. This tool is equipped with a weighing module to determine the number of pests trapped in the tool. The main advantage of ATMI MADI is that apart from being able to catch rice plant pests, by using IoT you can monitor data on pests caught every day. So it can be used as a pest data bank and help farmers observe patterns of plant pest attacks in the farmer's area just by opening a smartphone or laptop or PC.
