Abstract

The Activity of Daily Living (ADL) is important for post-stroke patients. The study aims to identify the correlation of Self-efficacy with ADL on post-stroke patients in TMS Clinic Dr. R. Koesma Hospital of Tuban. Correlative analytic research design with a cross-sectional time approach. The study took a sample of 34 respondents by using Simple Random Sampling. Instrument research used questionnaires. Statistical tests used Spearman Rank. The dependent variable of the study is ADL and the independent variable self-efficacy. The results of the study found that ADL respondents were highly dependent 17.7% were found in respondents with low self-efficacy, independent ADL 23.5% were obtained in respondents with moderate self-efficacy. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank with the significance of α = 0.05. Statistical test results p = 0.03 < α = 0.05 showed there is a correlation between self-efficacy with ADL of patients after stroke. The role of nurses in improving self-efficacy by motivating and providing health education about ADL.

Abstract

This Academic article discusses the implementation of self-regulated learning model in English Writing learning, especially on enriching writing skill. The discussion of this article uses many points of views of self-regulated model learners, such as Albert Bandura, Barry Zimmerman, Anananita Bramuci, Popa Daniela, and Ernesto Panadero. According to the authors' interpretation, the discussion shows several results. (1) English writing skills require serious effort and practice in formulating, developing and analyzing ideas, especially for second /foreign language learners. (2) The understanding of English language grammar and vocabulary is indispensable for second / foreign language learners. (3) The self-regulated learning model can increase the learning motivation because this model encourages students to acquire knowledge and skills on their own voluntarily; and (4) learners who have high self-regulated learning, will have good learning outcomes as well.

Abstract

This study aims to see the storage time of frozen shrimp by using an edible coating of toman fishbone gelatin (Channa micropeltes) as a water binder that can reduce the deterioration of the quality of frozen shrimp during storage. The method used in this research is the experimental method. This research was carried out in three stages, namely: (1) making gelatin of toman fish bone and edible coating solvent (2) Characteristics of physical properties of toman fishbone gelatin (moisture content, ash content, organoleptic, amendment, water absorption); (3) Application of edible coating made from gelatin on frozen shrimp during low-temperature storage, (4) testing the quality of frozen shrimp with organoleptic parameters, WHC, cooking loss, and yield. The results of the study showed that the quality of the physical and chemical quality of the gelatin from toman fish bone was moisture content about 3.5%, about 3.5% ash content, the water of absorption about 0.00099 g/ml, and yield about 9.45%. Organoleptic results showed that gelatin powder from toman fishbone still met SNI 06-3735-1999 standards that the color of the gelatin produced was colorless to yellowish and the aroma did not smell or taste. The edible coating of frozen shrimp application with gelatin treatment resulted in decreased water content, WHC, cooking loss and organoleptic value from storage day 0 to day 30, whereas frozen shrimp with gelatin treatment resulted in water content, WHC, decreased cooking lost and organoleptic increases from storage day 0 until day 30. The best treatment results in the treatment of G2 (2% gelatin) gave a value of water content of about 33.71-82.99%, the value of WHC about 11.65-82.34%, the value of cooking losses about 2.67-6.14% and the organoleptic value is about 7.0.

Abstract

Water pollution is a change condition in a water reservoir such as lakes, rivers, oceans, and groundwater due to human activities. This pollution causes many aquatic organisms to die and causes various diseases. Based on these problems, a solution is needed to deal with water pollution. The solution was given in the manufacture of a simple water purifier that can be used at home, namely the Frufous water purifier system. The method used in this research was research and development (R & D) with a level of difficulty at level 1, namely researching without testing the product. The product was researched and developed as an alternative water filter by applying the Frufous system (From Us For Us). Validation of this product was carried out internally in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The product had been repaired according to the judgment and suggestions of expert and practitioner opinions. The product design had been declared internally tested. The results of this research and product development showed products that are original, functional, complex, and authentic. The Frufous water purifier system was complex so that it could filter dirty water into clean and clear water, compared to being untreated/filtered. This research was expected to be used as an inspiration for research ideas to be applied at an advanced level of difficulty, which can be tested externally and applied en masse.

Abstract

Conflicts of interest between developed and developing countries can not be avoided in economic globalization. In the fight, there is domination and hegemony of economic concentration by economic actors from developed countries. The convergence of an accommodative economic system, which does not separate categorically between the capitalistic and socialist market economies, needs to be considered in the reform of Indonesian economic law.

Abstract

Dendrobium spectabile orchid is an ornamental plant of high economic value, having relatively durable properties, beauty, and attractiveness of orchids lie in the diverse shapes and colors of the flowers. Therefore, it requires rapid and efficient propagation techniques. One of them is in-vitro vegetative propagation. Plant propagation using the in-vitro technique has the opportunity to produce a large number of plant seeds in a relatively short time. This study aims to determine the correct concentration of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) on the growth amount of the explants of Dendrobium spectabile orchid by in-vitro. The research was conducted at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Aloe Vera Center (AVC) Pontianak. This research was conducted from January 1, 2020, to March 30, 2020. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment consisted of 6 levels of treatment, namely b1 = 0.75 ppm, b2 = 1.00 ppm, b3 = 1.25 ppm, b4 = 1.50 ppm, b5 = 1.75 ppm, b6 = 2.00 ppm. All treatments were repeated 4 times for each treatment consisting of 3 plant samples. The research finding showed that the treatment of BAP concentration 1.50 was the best in increasing the average number of leaves 4.92 strands, the average number of shoots 4.25 buds, and the average leaf length was 2.44 cm.
