Abstract

Horticultural plant nurseries located in Kubu Raya Regency are faced with pest attacks such as jumping ticks and aphids that appear in the rainy season. This pest will greatly adversely affect the plants that sedanag developed. Samapai plant nursery is currently still using chemicals to carry out pest control quickly, which can result in worsening local ecosystems. This situation requires new innovations, namely organic pesticides in overcoming the increase in pest attacks. The application of agricultural technology, especially in the use of maja leaf extract (Aegle marmellos corr) to control pests of jumping and leaf utu ticks can minimize these obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct counseling and training for activity partners in the business of breeding horticultural crops, especially local fruits in a sustainable manner. This service activity is carried out at the location of our partner, Mitra Bibit. Training on making vegetable pesticides from maja leaves can increase the knowledge and understanding of partners in the use of vegetable pesticides in eradicating pests of jumping aphids and aphids. Increasing understanding for participants was carried out by the method of lectures and demonstrations of the manufacture and application of vegetable pesticides from maja leaves. The use of maja leaf extract can be used as a vegetable pesticide for pest control of jumping aphids and aphids in plant nurseries developed by partners and reduce expenditure in pest control.
