Covid-19 has hit Indonesia since early 2020, disrupting all aspects of life, especially health, which is manifested in a decrease in basic immunization coverage. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence between intrinsic motivation and mother's attitude towards the fulfillment of basic immunization during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: The research method used is analytic observation using the Spearman test with a p-value <0.05. Respondents of this study were mothers with children aged 0-12 months at Puskesmas Jatibening Baru, Bekasi, as many as 37 respondents with the total sampling method. The research instrument was an online questionnaire with variables of intrinsic motivation and mother's attitude. Results: Based on research analysis using the Spearman test, the p-value = 0.376 and the Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.150 to see the effect between mother's intrinsic motivation and the status of basic immunization fulfillment during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the p-value to see the effect of mother's attitude with basic immunization fulfillment status during the Covid-19 pandemic was 0.182, and the Spearman correlation coefficient was 0.224. Conclusion: There is no effect between intrinsic motivation and mother's attitude towards the fulfillment of basic immunization during the Covid-19 pandemic.   Keywords : Attitudes; Basic Immunization; Covid-19; Intrinsic Motivation

Abstract

Introduction: Clinical midwifery students experience higher anxiety than the general population during COVID-19 pandemic. The higher level of anxiety is due to pressure in their clinical learning environment. This study will explore the effect of the clinical learning environment on the increased anxiety in midwifery students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This prospective cross-sectional study was conducted on 82 clinical midwifery students at Airlangga University using an online survey. We excluded students who had not started clinical studies and students with pre-existing medical or comorbid psychiatric conditions that could explain the pain. Information from participants included  socio-demographic, clinical learning environment questionnaire, and Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A). Results: The study showed that most of the respondents aged 20-27 years (73.2%), in the second semester (76.8%), living in boarding houses/contracts (74.4%), unmarried status (75.6%), the level of family income is very high (68.3%), and the perception of a poor clinical learning environment (51.2%). Participants experienced no anxiety the most (52.4%) and significantly correlated with the age p=0.047, domicile status p=0.076, and clinical learning environment p=0.008. But not their semester p=0.991, marital status p = 0.406, and family income p=0.872. Conclusion: These data indicate that age, domicile status, and clinical learning environment contribute to the incidence of anxiety in midwifery clinic students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Background: Breastcare is one of the interventions that can be done to increase and overcome the lack of breast milk so that it can rule out formula milk as an alternative. One of the signs that breast milk is finally in the sufficient phase can be seen in the baby's weight gain. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of breastcare on postpartum mothers on increasing neonatal weight at PMB Noris Hadi Boyolali. Methods: quasi-experimental research design with pretest-posttest control group design. The number of samples was 22 postpartum mothers with purposive sampling technique. The independent variable was breast care for postpartum mothers for the intervention group once a day from day 10-13 (a total of 4 times) and the control group once on day 10, the dependent variable was the increase in neonatal weight which was examined on days 10 and 14. The instruments used are SOP for postpartum mother's breastcare and baby scales. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test, paired t test, and Mann Whitney test. Results: The results of the analysis of the effect of breastcare on postpartum mothers on increasing neonatal weight with the Mann Whitney test obtained p value = 0.208, meaning that there is no effect of breastcare on postpartum mothers on increasing neonatal weight. Conclusions: There was no difference in neonatal weight before and after breastcare was given to postpartum mothers between groups. There was no effect of breastcare on postpartum mothers on the increase in weight of neonates statistically, but the increase in weight of neonates in the intervention group was greater than in the control group.   Keywords: breast milk, breast care, neonate weight

Abstract

Background: An interrupted menstrual cycle can indicate reproductive system problems. However, there are several factors that can affect the length of the menstrual cycle such as nutritional status, diet, stress, hormonal drugs, smoking, and sleep quality. The current COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact, one of which is an increase in stress, especially for health workers who serve COVID-19 problems. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress levels with the length of the midwife's menstrual cycle during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The type of research that will be used is an observational analytic study using a cross sectional design. The number of samples used were 47 midwives who work in RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bivariate analysis using Spearman tests. Results: There were 63.8% of midwives who had moderate stress levels and 88.2% of midwives with normal menstrual cycle length. The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between the midwife's stress level with the length of her menstrual cycle with p=0,660 and p = 0.568. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between stress levels with the length of the menstrual cycle in midwives during the COVID-19 pandemic, so education and information about stress handling mechanisms are needed so that stress does not increase.  Keywords: Stress level, menstrual cycle length, COVID-19 pandemic
