Abstract

Pedagogic competence is a management ability of students which includes design, implementation of learning, and evaluation. Pedagogic competence is important for teachers and must master pedagogic competencies. Pedagogic competence is also needed in SBdP learning. Not all educators master all fields of art, only master one or a few fields of art. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of pedagogic competence possessed by teachers, barriers and efforts to improve pedagogical competence. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive research method. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations and documentation to 12 teachers located in 6 elementary schools, namely SD UMP, SDN Tambaksari, SDN Kembaran, SDN Linggasari 2, SDN Pliken 1 and SDN Pliken 2 with the criteria of civil servants and non-civil servants, respectively teaching in the upper and lower classes. The results of the study indicate that it is important for teachers to have pedagogical competencies. Barriers to pedagogic competence in SBdP learning are limited ability to master the three components of art, limited hours of SBdP learning, after the pandemic there was no direct interaction between teachers and students and ineffectiveness in knowing the potential and characteristics of students. Efforts to improve pedagogic competence by increasing learning about strategies and media used, knowing the potential that exists in students in SBdP learning, understanding the characteristics of students, and evaluation.

Abstract

The purpose of classroom action research is to improve students' skills in writing paragraphs with the multimedia-assisted the way modeling learning model for third grade students of SDN Sumbermulyo 1 Jogoroto Jombang. The type of research conducted is classroom action research through multimedia-assisted the way learning model based on three cycles. Each cycle consists of one meeting, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were third grade students of SDN Sumbermulyo 1. Data collection techniques were test and non-test techniques. Data analysis through quantitative techniques. The results showed that the results of paragraph writing skills experienced a significant increase, it can be seen in the first cycle the class average achievement of the first cycle learning outcomes reached 65.83 with 64.29% classical completeness. This result increased in the second cycle with the average result of writing skills to 78.54 with 92.86% classical completeness. The conclusion of this research is that through multimedia-assisted the way modeling learning model can improve student activity and paragraph writing skills. Suggestions in the study are teachers can apply the multimedia-assisted the way modeling learning model, it is hoped that students will add insight to various learning sources and knowledge about various learning models in order to improve learning in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is to find out objectively the improvement of ICT learning achievement in Microsoft Office Excel Materials through the Application of STAD Model Learning Techniques for Class VIII C Students in Semester 1 of the 2019/2020 Academic Year at SMP Negeri 2 Panggul Trenggalek. With this learning design, it is hoped that a student-centered learning atmosphere can be realized so that meaningful learning occurs with active, creative, effective students in a pleasant atmosphere. This research method is classroom action research with the Stephen Kemmis model. The STAD Model Learning Techniques learning is carried out in two cycles. The research results obtained include, among others, learning with Microsoft Office Excel material in Cycle I as follows. Grades that have been completed include a score of 100 for 3 children (11%), a score of 90 for 2 children (7%), a score of 80 for 3 children (11%), a score of 70 for 5 children (19%). Unfinished grades include: a score of 60 as many as 8 children (30%), a score of 50 as many as 3 children (11%) and a score of 40 as many as 3 children (11%). The average value of students in Cycle I is 67.41. While in Cycle 2 the results obtained are, the scores that have been completed include, the scores that have been completed include the value of 100 as many as 4 children (15%), the value of 90 as many as 5 children (19%), the value of 80 as many as 8 children (30% ), the value of 70 as many as 7 children (26%). Unfinished grades include: a score of 60 as many as 3 children (11%). The average value of students is 80.00. So there are already 85% or more students whose scores are above the KKM (70). This means that classically it has been completed because students who have reached the KKM have exceeded 85%. The results of this study, Cooperative Learning with STAD Model Learning Techniques can improve learning achievement in Microsoft Office Excel material for class VIII C students in Semester 1 of the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

Abstract

In learning the material to examine the structure and linguistic aspects of short stories, many students of class IX D SMP Negeri 2 Panggul Trenggalek are found who are not able to make short stories frameworks, so the results are not satisfactory. This is evidenced by the 30 students of class VII consisting of 14 male students and 16 female students, 12 students who completed their studies or 40% of the students who did not complete their studies as many as 18 students or 60% with an average of 62 grades. 50. The value obtained by these students has not reached the specified KKM, which is 70. The purpose of this study is to obtain objective answers about improving Indonesian language learning achievement in short story writing materials through a Problem Based Learning Model with Serial Picture Media in class IX D students of SMP Negeri 2 Panggul Trenggalek. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle of learning, the test results are still low when compared to the results of the second cycle of tests. This is evidenced by the results of the first cycle test, the total score is 2220 with an average score of 74 and the percentage of completeness is 73%, while the second cycle test results total 2410 with an average value of 80.33 and a percentage of completeness 90%. Thus, it can be said that the results of the second cycle of research have increased from the results of the first cycle of research. The increase in the results of the research can be seen that the average of the first cycle is 74 for the second cycle of 80.33 so that there is an increase of 6.33. The completeness of the first cycle is 73%, the second cycle is 90% so that there is an increase of 17%. From the analysis of the data above, it can be concluded that through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, the achievement of learning Indonesian in short story writing material for students of SMP Negeri 2 Panggul Trengalek Class IX D of SMP Negeri 2 Panggul Trenggalek in Semester 1 of the 2019/2020 Academic Year has increased.

Abstract

In the material of Applying Ornaments to Artificial Materials, many students of class VII A are found who are unable to develop their creativity in applying decoration to textile media through batik work because students do not feel interested in the material so that the results are not satisfactory. This is evidenced by the 28 students of class VII A consisting of 13 male students and 15 female students, 9 students or 32% of students who completed their studies, while 19 students who did not complete their studies or 67.8% with an average grade 66. The value obtained by the student has not reached the KKM for Cultural Arts which is set at 70. The purpose of this study is to obtain an objective answer about increasing creativity in the work of Fine Arts in the material Applying Ornaments to Artificial Materials with the indicator that students are able to apply decoration to the media. textiles through batik work using painting techniques in Semester 1 of the 2019/2020 academic year at SMP Negeri 2 Panggul. This research method is classroom action research using the cycle model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart with four stages in each cycle, namely planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques through monitoring results, actions, analysis of learning activities, field notes, and data collection using documentation taken during the learning process. The results of batik creativity with painting techniques obtained in the first cycle is 32% and the second cycle is 85.65%. The average percentage of the monitoring data for the first cycle is 85% and the second cycle is 95%. From the analysis of the data above, it can be concluded that learning by using batik painting techniques can increase students' creativity.

Abstract

The process of learning Indonesian in Class VIII-A of SMPN 6 Kediri experienced several obstacles. The problem is that the teacher only gives assignments or asks students to write poetry without being accompanied by unclear instructions on how to write the poem itself. Also because learning resources are only centered on textbooks. And what often happens is the low interest of students in poetry. After the daily test, it is known that only 53% of students have complete KKM scores. These data indicate that student learning outcomes are quite low. One solution to overcome this problem is by developing an appropriate definition model. The definition model is a model of writing poetry by giving a definition or meaning to something. The keywords that are usually used are: Students are invited to determine in advance the word to be defined. The next step students define the word in several definitions. After that, students are asked to add their definitions into definitions that can be contemplated or contain messages. Finally, students try to embellish the sound of the definition into poetry. With the patience and guidance of the teacher the definition model is able to improve the learning outcomes of Class VIII-A students of SMPN 6 Kediri in Indonesian language lessons on poetry writing materials.

Abstract

The education system that adapts to the post-Covid-19 era is marked by the "new normal" era. On the other hand, the transition of character education in the family environment brings a new problem, namely the lack of concept of character education in the family environment. Finally, there is the urgency of academic moral degradation in the millennial generation. Therefore, education is required to transform to provide strengthening character education in Indonesia. This study was conducted to determine students' understanding of character education and how students provide solutions to the threat of moral decline in the new normal era. This type of research is qualitative research. The sample selection used the accidental sampling method. With a sample of 24 from students in East Java. The data from this study were obtained from filling out questionnaires using Google Forms and distributing information through posters on Instagram. In this study, it was found that students already understood the importance of character education and could provide ways or solutions to shape character in the new normal era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in learning outcomes of Natural Sciences on atomic material after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class IXB UPTD Education Unit SMP Negeri 2 Bangsalsari Jember in the academic year 2021-2022 Semester 2. The research design used is classroom action research (classroom action research) in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings which include planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects are students of class IXB for the academic year 2021-2022 semester 2 with a total of 25 students. The research was conducted from February to March 2022. The data collection method used the test and observation method. The research carried out concluded that the increase in learning outcomes in Natural Science of atomic material after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class IXB UPTD Education Unit SMP Negeri 2 Bangsalsari Jember in the 2021-2022 semester 2 academic year, amounted to 24% of the complete results. classical learning, namely the percentage of completeness in the first cycle of 72% increased to 96% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the average value of students was 15.60 from the first cycle average of 74.80 which increased to 90.44. In addition, the PBL learning carried out also increases the activities of students from the high category.

Abstract

The teacher is the most important part in the implementation of learning activities so that it can create quality education, of course, in this case the teacher's performance will greatly affect the success of an education implementation. Low teacher performance will reduce the quality of education and vice versa high teacher performance will affect effective learning activities. A careful planning is needed if you want to get good results in learning activities. To find out how much the teacher's performance is, it is necessary to carry out continuous supervision of the principal. The principal is a functional teacher who is given the task of leading the school, including supervising the teachers. Supervision aims to help teachers who find difficulties in the process of learning activities and everything in it. In addition, supervision can also be used as a strategy to find out about the needs of schools that must be owned to support the smooth learning activities. In practice, supervision requires careful planning, so that it can streamline the results of principal supervision activities and improve teacher performance so that the quality of school education itself also increases. The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze: 1) How is the planning of Supervision by the Principal in Improving Teacher Performance at SDN 8 Purwakarta. 2) How is the implementation of academic supervision at SDN 8 Nagrikaler Purwakarta. 3) How is the evaluation of the principal's academic supervision in improving performance elementary School teacher. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data collection method is the approach taken to obtain information through observation, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, constraints, and results of implementing classroom management strategies in improving the quality of educational services. This data was obtained through classroom teacher interviews, the results of which were supporting data from the main source and observations regarding classroom management. After collecting data, qualitative data analysis was carried out on the instrument. The results showed that the elementary school teachers studied had implemented the planning, implementation, and evaluation of classroom management strategies. Class management strategy constraints that occur can be overcome properly. The results of implementing the classroom management strategy can be seen from the improvement in the quality of student learning, teacher professionalism, and the school's physical environment.
