Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP) is a Journal published by Tourism Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP), with E-ISSN 2720-9873 (Online) is a Peer-reviewed journal published twice in June and December by Tourism Department, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. Tulip aims to disseminate and provide information to the parties concerned in the study of Tourism. Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP) is a scientific journal in the field of tourism studies. The manuscript can be a research paper, review articles, as well as conceptual, technical, and methodological papers on all aspects, includes research findings, experimental design, analysis, and recent application in tour and travel studies. The scope of these areas includes tourism planning, geography, tourism management, destination, traveling, environment, economics, gastronomic, heritage, and culture. Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP) has been reexamined by peer victims. Unacceptable in this regard will be the right of the Editorial Board based on the words of colleagues

Abstract

Resort pentadio is one of the tourism objects  found in Gorontalo province.  It has a tourism product that can meet the diverse needs of beriwisata. It has the diverse  products of tourism that can  service the tourist’s need. The decrease of quantity of tourism visitors every year at Resort pentadio become a serious problems and this  must be resolved. More the similar tourism business found in Gorontalo demand the plan of marketing strategy effectively. Therefore, this study is dealing with the creativity of getting the alternative strategies in promoting and marketing the tourism place Resort Pentadio. The result of research is found that there are several strategies alternatively that can be used at Resort Pentadio in Gorontalo Regency, namely : to recruit a potential employee, to conduct training to the employee regularly by marketing experts, providing motivation for employees by employees who are unable or potentially will be rewarded, to carried out promotional activities in order to attract tourists to visit, to conduct collaboration and cooperation with the media such as TV, radio, leaflet, internet  in order to promote Resort Pentadio, so that tourists are  interested in visiting it; to create the natural environment comfortable, enjoyable,  romantic; therefore they are probably to  stay a long time and a long day

Abstract

Stakeholders are individuals or groups who are actively involved and have a much-needed role in the sustainability of development, including tourism. The sustainability of tourism is very much determined by the active role of stakeholders in the development and management of tourist destinations. Various problems in the development of tourist destinations often occur, this can be seen from several tourist destinations that used to be visited by tourists, but are no longer considered by tourists. This study aims to examine and analyze the role of stakeholders in the development of tourist destinations by means of literature review research. Based on the results of the literature analysis that the stakeholders include; 1) Primary stakeholders (primary), 2) Supporting stakeholders (secondary), 3) Key stakeholders.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian tentang Evaluasi Keterpengaruhan Komponen Pariwisata Didaya Tarik Pariwisata Arung Jeram Papualangi penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dimana penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat deskriptif yaitu memberikan gambaran ataupun penjelasan yang tepat mengenai permasalahan yang dihadapi dan didukung dengan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pelaksanaan Evaluasi Keterpengaruhan Komponen Pariwisata Didaya Tarik Pariwisata Arung Jeram Papualangi telah berjalan sesuai dengan sistem yang ada, namun terdapat masalah-masalah yang membawa dampak negatif sehingga pada pelaksanaannya masih belum optimal dalam mengembangkan pariwisata Tana Toraja, khususnya pembangunan infrastruktur, sarana dan prasana. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan pariwisata adalah faktor pendukung yaitu objek wisata yang sudah terkenal, partisipasi masyarakat dan koordinasi yang baik dengan pihak terkait. Sedangkan faktor penghambat yaitu keterbatasan dana, lokasi geografis objek wisata serta minimnya dan tidak terpusatnya informasi.

Abstract

Special Interest Tourism (SIT) is defined as travelling with the primary motivation of practicing or enjoying a special interest. This can include unusual hobbies, activities, themes or attractions which tend to atract visitors. This research aims at analyzing the strategy of developing Karawo embroidery as a special interest tourism in Gorontalo. A case study conducted in Karawo embroidery center. Moreover, Karawo embroidery, one of traditional cultural activities in Gorontalo which has been inherited from generation to generation, has gained great attention and effort from the local government to attract visitors to come, yet the report said there is no increase in visitors. Therefore, in this case, the writer focuses on the strategy to develop Karawo embroidery center so as to attract more visitors or tourists to come. This research has three main goals to achieve. 1) Gaining perception from the local or foreign tourists about Karawo, 2) Identifying obstacles faced in developing Karawo embroidery as special interest tourism, 3) Formulating the strategy in developing Karawo embroidery as special interest tourism in Gorontalo. Moreover, this research conducted by using mixed method. However, qualitative descriptive method was primarily applied in this research. While quantitative was applied to attain supporting data. Furthermore, results show that Karawo embroidery, overall, is considered very attractive. According to the SWOT analysis, the strategy chosen to be applied is by combining Strength and Opportunity (SO) or aggressive strategy. This was based on the Cartesian diagram mapping which was created by applying weighted score on each factor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the form of psychological management in service and hospitality to increase foreign tourists in love island tourism, Boalemo district, Gorontalo province. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods. The results show that the existence of the hospitality industry has a positive impact on the growth of the number of foreign tourists and has an impact on increasing income for the people of Boalemo Regency. And quality services and according to guest needs can have an impact on guest satisfaction levels. The level of guest satisfaction with the quality of service provided is a comprehensive assessment of the superiority of a service related to facilities, services, and good employee responses, can give a good impression or experience for guests, so that it can create a sense of trust and loyalty.

Abstract

Tourism marketing is a management process of tourism organization or tourism industry to figure out the tourist who wants to travelling and a potencial tourist to travel by having communication with them, influence theme, their needs, their motivation, to the thing they like or dislike, in the local level, regional level, national level and even international level by prepare object and attraction of tourism so they will do satisfied. This article analized the marketing strategy of special interest tourism, offroad Kali Gendol Desa Sindumartani Ngempak subdistrict, Sleman regency, Province of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The method of this reseach is descriptive survay. The data collected by observation, documentation and then to strengthen the data by questioners and interview. The result of this research shows that market characteristic to special tourism offroad of Kali Gendol is the extrime sport lovers’ community, natural lovers’ community, social community, researcher, student, photographer community. The main reason adventure activitie, tourists number still not efective. The tourists wish quality travelling, looking for something new and expand their experience. Tourism product that can be package based on the condition found in the field and the analysis consideration of market potencial is track Offroad which consist of three kinds those are; Fun Offroad, Extreme and Tour Offroad.

Abstract

This article analysis the development of karawo embroidery as a tourist attraction. The objectives of this article areto figure out the tourists’ perception, to identify the development phase andto formulate the development strategies of karawo embroidery. The result of this article shows that karawoembroidery overall is excellent. However there are some points need to be improved.karawoembroidery development is in the introduction phase, while the development strategies based on SWOT matrix analysis are: 1) SO strategy is a strategy uses the power to takeadvantages of opportunities to design a tourist attraction package and improving the promotion by the electronic media. 2) ST strategy is a strategy uses the power of addressing threats by making a training and some competitions of karawo embroidery. 3) WO strategy is a strategy that minimizes the weaknesses in taking advantage of opportunities by expanding the distribution, educate the marketer, improve the creativity of the craftswoman and the designer, doing the experiment of creating a tool that can help the craftswoman and distributing flyers at the hotels. 4) WT strategy is a strategy that minimize the weaknesses of avoiding the threats by karawo embroidery preservation and improving the kuality of karawo embroidery

Abstract

Saat ini kegiatan pariwisata di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang pesat, hal ini dapat dilihat dari berbagai macam daerah-daerah yang ada di Indonesia dalam mengembangkan destinasi-destinasi wisata yang ada di daerahnya masing-masing. Dalam Undang-undang Nomor 10 Tahun 2009 yang menyebutkan bahwa keberadaan daya tarik wisata pada suatu daerah akan sangat menguntungkan, diantaranya untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat, memperluas kesempatan kerja, meningkatkan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD), kemudian meningkatkan rasa cinta lingkungan serta melestarikan alam dan budaya setempat.  Keberadaan sektor pariwisata dalam suatu wilayah dapat memberikan dampak positif maupun negative. Namun, pada dasarnya tergantung pada manajemen dan tata pengelolaan kepariwisataan yang diperankan oleh segenap pemangku kepentingan baik dari unsur pemerintah, swasta maupun masyarakat yang ada pada wilayah tersebut. Pencapaian tujuan dan misi pembangunan kepariwisataan yang baik, berkelanjutan (sustainable tourism) dan berwawasan lingkungan akan dapat terlaksana manakala dalam proses pencapaiannya dapat dilakukan melalui tata kelola kepariwisataan yang baik. (good tourism governance). Prinsip dari penyelenggaraan tata kelola kepariwisataan yang baik adalah adanya koordinasi dan sinkronisasi program antar pemangku kepentingan yang ada serta dilibatkannya partisipasi aktif yang sinergis (terpadu dan saling menguatkan) antara pihak pemerintah, swasta atau industri pariwisata dan masyarakat setempat yang terkait.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to figure out the obstacles of Karawo comodification existence as Gorontalo traditional souvenir and also to formulate the solutions of those identified obstacles. Besides that, this article also aimed to describe the role of Karawo which is very important in tourism industry. This article analyzed by descriptive qualitative with the existance theory. The result that has been found by this article is the obstacles of Karawo existence as Gorontalo traditional souvenir in supporting tourism activities is the producers perspective, they stated that embroidering is complicated and also need a long procces about two till three months to produce a piece of Karawo with a little demand. It is the reason why the price is expensive. It becomes more complicated because of the less people interested to be an Karawo embroider. The solution formulated Based on obstacles firstly, improving the awareness of the Gorontalists young generation for loving their culture. Secondly encouradge the young generation to creatively and innovatively create a technology to replace the human as embroider with the big number of product produced. Tourism is the cultural preservation so that Karawo existence in tourism needs more attention from all stakeholders. Not only attention, but also the stakeholders need to be cooperative in implementing the solutions offered.

Abstract

The tourism sector is built based on development that prioritizes welfare, especially for people in rural areas. Not only as a sector that can provide an economic boost but at the same time providing a sense of security against concerns over the overexploitation of natural resources. Therefore, as part of the process in the management of a tourism destination, it requires an in-depth study of instruments that can assist tourism destination management in assessing the environmental resilience crisis. This instrument is needed to reduce environmental impacts, which are currently feared to damage the environment around the destination. One of the instruments used in this research is the criteria and indicators of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). The method of this research used a descriptive qualitative method, comparative analysis (implementation and indicators). The purpose of this research is to answer the challenges of environmental vulnerability issues in a destination using one of the GSTC criteria and indicators. The result of this research is Tunggul Arum tourism village does not fulfill the environmental-based on GSTC criteria and indicators.
