Abstract

Shrimp that has the potential to be cultivated in ponds are giant tiger prawn (Penaeus monodon) and vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The advantages of this vaname shrimp are disease resistance, fast growth with a relatively short maintenance period of 100-110 days, high survival during maintenance, and low feed conversion value (FCR) (1:1,3). The objectives of the study were to evaluate the performance of vaname shrimp culture, identify problems and formulate intervention proposals in white vaname shrimp culture, and analyze income related to aquaculture productivity to determine the level of profit. The research was carried out in March-May 2021 at PT. Hasil Nusantara Mandiri, Sungai Bulan Village, North Singkawang District. This study uses a descriptive approach by observing productivity indicators, SR, FCR, and water quality as supporting data. Problem identification uses Root Cause Analysis and Fishbone Analysis. The results show that the productivity obtained is 24.233,48 kg, which is the company's target for 4 ponds, namely 48.000 kg. The income or profit is Rp. 106.199.842.

Abstract

Indonesia, with one of the highest marine biodiversity in the world, has great fishery potential. This research is quantitative research that desires in knowing the factors that influence the growth of the fishing industry in Indonesia. Industrial growth is measured through the parameters of aquaculture and capture fisheries products. To find the causal factors, correlation tests were conducted on several variables representing internal factors (number of fleets and number of aquaculture households), environment (aquaculture area), economic indicators (consumer price index and inflation), government policies (human development index), population (population density), and law (risk of the population being exposed to criminal acts). The test was carried out using correlation analysis on 2014-2016 data in 34 provinces. The result is that internal and environmental factors have a significant positive effect on the fishing industry. On the other hand, economic factors have no significant effect. Meanwhile, partially HDI has a significant negative effect on capture fisheries products, while population density and the risk of the population being exposed to criminal acts have a significant negative effect on aquaculture results.

Abstract

One of the catches of fishermen in the Marine Coastal of Lampu Satu is rebon shrimp, but the selling price is low and the durability is short so it quickly declines in quality (damaged). One effort to overcome this is by diversifying rebon shrimp products into shrimp paste so that the selling price goes up and the durability is long. The purpose of the study was to find out how the stages of the shrimp paste processing process. The research was carried out from November to December 2021 at the Marine Coastal of Lampu Satu, Merauke Regency. Research respondents are 1 group of household shrimp paste processors. The results showed that the shrimp paste processing process consisted of 10 stages of manufacture, namely sorting, washing, fermentation, drying stage 1, grinding stage 1, drying stage 2, grinding stage 2, printing, drying stage 3, and packaging. The processing of shrimp paste is still categorized as simple because everything uses a manual system of human power.
