Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research is based on the fact that there are still many students class VA elementary school less able to work well together and the creation of learning conditions that are less comfortable for some students. Students who are still not able to work well together, teachers put forward the cognitive aspects of students only, without improving the affective and psychomotor aspects. Methodology: This study is a classroom action research consisting of three cycles, where the data taken in the form of observation data through student collaboration observation sheet and teacher observation sheet conducted in each learning process using a project-based learning model. Main Findings: The results of this study indicate that the implementation of project-based learning model can improve the cooperation of VA elementary school students. Based on students' observation sheets, student cooperation showed an increase, as evident from the cycle I of student cooperation 59.4%, increased in cycle II to 72.8%, and increased again in cycle III 78.8% Novelty/Originality of this study: In this case it can be concluded that the project-based learning model can improve student cooperation on the theme of ecosystem in VA elementary school class.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Kemampuan Siswa Dalam Mengerjakan Soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) pada Pembelajaran IPA di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Hidayah Kebon IX Muaro Jambi Methodology: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Hidayah Kebon IX, yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas VA, dan VB. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 38 siswa. Dari keseluruhan populasi tersebut, dipilih 22 siswa kelas VA sebagai sampel. Adapun teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu purposive sampling yang berdasarkan kriteria telah menerapkan soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) pada pembelajaran IPA. Main Findings: kemampuan siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Hidayah Kebon IX di dalam mengerjakan soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) pada pembelajaran IPA berada pada kategori cukup baik. Novelty/Originality of this study: Dengan adanya penelitian ini, dapat berguna bangi guru untuk mengetahui sejauhmana kemampuan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) khusunya pada pembelajaran matematika dan guru juga dapat meningkatkan lagi kemampuan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) yang terdapat pada level menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to find out and describe the strategies that teachers can use to develop the practical value of the five Pancasila precepts in the thematic learning process for first grade students at elementary school 36/I Kilangan. Methodology: This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The samples in this study were school principals, teachers, and 2 low grade students at elementary school 36/I Kilangan. Collecting data in this study using observation sheets, interview guide instruments. in this study using the Miles and Huberman analysis technique. Main Findings: The teacher's strategy in instilling the practical values of Pancasila, especially the precepts "Social Justice for All Indonesian People" in thematic learning in class I elementary school 36/I Kilangan shows that the teacher has become a good role model for students, especially in applying a family attitude, balancing rights and obligations , as well as work hard. The teacher uses several strategies in its implementation. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is knowing the teacher's strategy in instilling the practical values of the Pancasila precept "Social Justice for All Indonesian People" in thematic learning at elementary school 36/I Kilangan. Teachers use character-based learning strategies such as the PAIKEM strategy, cooperative learning and inquiry, as well as various lectures to familiarize students with always reading and discussing.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts in number competency by using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Learning Model in class IV B SDN No. 64/1 Muara Bulian. Methodology: This research is a study that consists of 2 cycles. This type of research uses a mixed method, namely a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The research subjects were students of class IV B at SD Negeri 64/1 Muara Bulian. The data obtained are quantitative data and qualitative data. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation and interviews. Then the data were analyzed based on the type of data obtained. Main Findings: The study's findings showed that students' understanding of concepts increased from 60.35% in cycle I to 84.86% in cycle II. So that the use of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model can help improve students' conceptual understanding of number competence in class IV B SDN NO. 64/1 Muara Bulian. Novelty/Originality of this study: The update in this research is contained in the results of this research, where the studies in this article are the latest results in the field of science, especially mathematics education. With this research, readers and other researchers can determine the impact of using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in elementary schools, especially in number competency material.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To find out the application of the Concept Attainment model with the help of fractional card media in increasing understanding of the concept of fractions in class II Ahmad Dahlan Elementary School. Methodology: The research was conducted at Ahmad Dahlan Elementary School in the even semester of 2018/2019. The research sample was 22 students. Research data obtained through student learning outcomes and observation sheets. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Qualitative data were analyzed to determine the learning process using the Concept Attainment learning model based on fractional card media. Main Findings: The results of the study show that the application of the Concept Attainment model assisted by fractional card media can improve understanding of the concept of fractions. By observing the results of understanding the concept of fractions in the first cycle, namely 53.01%, it increased in cycle II to 77.12%. In cycle I the results of the written test evaluation with classical completeness of 63.15% increased in cycle II by 18.66% to 81.81%. Novelty/Originality of this study: The latest research in this research is to combine the concept learning learning model with fraction card media which is generally not widely used, especially for learning fractions in elementary school mathematics, the benefits for students in this action research will then make it easier for them to face more difficult learning levels in the next class and can become a new teaching idea for teachers to facilitate student understanding.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to describe the role of the teacher in developing the school literacy movement through library visiting activities in class II in Elementary School 112 Perumnas. Methodology: Research data was obtained with a qualitative approach. A qualitative approach uses observation, interviews, and documentation with residents of Elementary School 112/I Perumnas, namely class II teachers, librarian teachers, and students. After the data is obtained, the data is analyzed using the Miles and Hubberman technique through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Main Findings: The results of this study indicate that the teacher's role is to provide facilities and infrastructure to support literacy activities, the teacher and students carry out literacy activities regularly, the teacher invites students to carry out literacy activities by visiting the library, guides students in carrying out literacy activities, and helps students who experience difficulties. Novelty/Originality of this study: From the results of this study, it is suggested that teachers can overcome the obstacles that occur in literacy activities in class and library visiting literacy activities, and teachers must also pay attention to their students in carrying out literacy activities so that they run well.
