Abstract

Background: Mentally retarded children are children who have intellectual decline. Children with mental retardation cannot coordinate well with small muscles or fine motor parts, for example: folding fingers, and so on. Method: This research uses Pre-Experiment One Group Pre Test Post Test Design. The sample of mental retardation in SLB C1 Putera Asih Kediri City was 30 respondents using purposive sampling technique to meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria, there were 28 respondents. The independent variable is paper toys and the dependent variable is the fine motor skills of children with moderate mental retardation. The instrument is an observation sheet to determine the effect between the variables used by the Wilcoxon test with a significant level of 0.05. Results The results of the study, before being given paper toys as many as 20 (67%) children experienced inappropriate fine motor development. Fine motor development of moderately mentally retarded children after being given paper toys as many as 21 children (48%) children experienced good fine motor development. The results of the statistical test show a significant value with a p value of 0.000 which means p value <0.005 so that H0 is rejected. Conclusion: the use of paper toys at SLB C1 Putera Asih, Kediri City shows that there is an influence between the use of paper toys and fine motor development, because paper toys can make children concentrate, explore or stimulate children to coordinate their small muscles or fine motor skills

Abstract

Background: Understanding and skills of CPR are very important to be applied correctly and correctly, especially the understanding and skills that must be possessed by all health workers, including nurses. At this time, one of the skills that must be possessed by nursing students before becoming a professional nurse is cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). To achieve this ability, appropriate learning methods are needed, one of which is using the audiovisual method. Method: The search for relevant articles or journals is carried out using a database through Google Scholar, Google Scholar, and Pubmed Central (PMC) in the period 2010-2020. The results of the search found 15 articles using nursing interventions but only 12 articles that met the inclusion criteria, namely according to the keywords. The analysis of these 12 journals was carried out based on the design, population, sample, sampling, parameters and conclusions sections. Results From the literature study that has been carried out on research or writing on the same topic, it can be seen that the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) video learning media greatly influences the improvement of skills in nursing students. recall, it will tend to disappear over time. Conclusion: With this, learning media using video can remind what they have learned and can be played over and over again so that they are able to improve the skills of these nursing students

Abstract

Background: Cupping and noni herbal medicine can lower blood pressure. With wet cupping therapy and consuming noni herbal medicine regularly, capillary dilatation will occur, causing an improvement in the microcirculation of blood vessels. Method: This research is quasi-experimental using the type of research design Control Time Series Desgin. The sampling method used purposive sampling, the independent variables were wet cupping therapy and noni herbal medicine while the dependent variable was blood pressure. Due to the limitations of the researchers, only 18 respondents were divided into two groups, namely the intervention and control groups. The subjects of the study were patients with mild hypertension, aged 20-60 years, residents of the Work Area of the West Singkawang Health Center, Singkawang City. Respondents were observed by measuring blood pressure before and after therapy. Results: The results of the measurement of systolic blood pressure in the intervention group experienced a decrease in blood pressure by an average of 15 mmHg as many as 4 people (44%). Meanwhile, diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group also experienced a decrease in blood pressure by an average of 10 mmHg by 5 people (56%). The results of the measurement of systolic blood pressure in the control group also experienced a decrease in blood pressure by an average of 5 mmHg by 5 people (56%). While diastolic blood pressure in the control group experienced a decrease in blood pressure by an average of 5 mmHg as many as 4 people (44%). Conclusion: Cupping therapy and the administration of noni herbal medicine have no difference in effectiveness on blood pressure due to many factors that cannot be controlled, namely diet. But for the clinical results, cupping and this herbal medicine can lower blood pressure

Abstract

Background: Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EIB) is the process of letting the baby suckle on its own after birth. The baby is placed on the mother's chest and the baby himself with all his efforts to find a nipple to feed immediately. Method: The design of this study used an analytic observational method with a cross sectional approach. The number of respondents was 55 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results of data analysis from statistics show that respondents have good knowledge of early breastfeeding initiation as many as 44 people (80%), which provide good support as many as 45 respondents' families (81.8%) and 50 respondents (90.9%) implemented early breastfeeding initiation). Results: the results of the chis-quare analysis between the knowledge variable and the success variable early breastfeeding initiation obtained p-value = 0.002. it means that there is a significant relationship between knowledge about early breastfeeding initiation and the success of implementing early breastfeeding initiation. the results of the chis-quare analysis between the family support variable and the success variable early breastfeeding initiation obtained p-value = 0.001. Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between family support with the successful implementation of early breastfeeding initiation. the existence of a relationship between knowledge, family support and the success of early breastfeeding initiation can be influenced by age status where the majority of the respondents are early adulthood and can also be influenced by the level of education where the education level of the respondents is high school is also influenced by the parity of the respondents where most of the respondents are multiple parity
