Abstract

Cashless transactions offer the advantages of simpler, faster, and safer transactions compared to non-cash transactions, and can increase economic activity in a country. To support digital payments, BI released QRIS as a national QR code standard. The utilization of QRIS as a payment channel has increased every year. This research focuses on the strategy of Bank Indonesia Jakarta Representative Office in developing non-cash payments through QRIS for MSMEs in Jakarta, the impact of non-cash payment development strategies through QRIS, and constraints on non-cash payment development strategies. This research is a field study using a descriptive qualitative research approach. The results of this study show that there are several strategies including conducting socialization, including MSMEs in BI strategic events, connecting with Perumda Pasar Jaya traditional markets which were later designated as S.I.A.P QRIS markets, and receiving complaints about QRIS. As an impact of the strategy of developing cashless payments through QRIS, the findings of this study show how QRIS shortens the payment process and makes transactions more secure for both merchants and consumers. On the other hand, people's dependence on cash transactions and public understanding of payments through QRIS are the main challenges faced by Bank Indonesia Jakarta Representative Office in implementing non-cash payments through QRIS for MSMEs in Jakarta.

Abstract

One of the sectors affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is the banking industry, where social and economic restrictions imposed to control the spread of the virus have impacted various aspects of bank operations, especially lending. In this scenario, banks face new challenges in maintaining liquidity, managing credit risk, and ensuring continuous lending to customers in need. Thus, this study aims to analyze the extent to which specific factors, such as third-party funds, funding liquidity, and credit risk, influence lending by banks in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method employed is a quantitative approach involving panel data regression analysis. This approach enables researchers to explore the cause-and-effect relationships among the variables under scrutiny. The data utilized consists of secondary data from banks categorized as BUKU III and BUKU IV, representing a certain size and complexity of banks. The data was collected during the uncertain period of 2020-2021, marked by the pandemic's impact. The analysis revealed that third-party funds positively influence banks' lending during the COVID-19 pandemic. This implies that the greater the amount of third-party funds held by banks, the more likely they are to extend credit to customers. However, funding liquidity and credit risk exert a negative influence on lending. This suggests that lower funding liquidity and higher credit risk make it more challenging for banks to provide credit to customers during the pandemic.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, every company is required to be prepared to face various types of competition in the business world and must be able to enhance employee performance. This research aims to determine whether the influence of Hard Skill, Soft Skill, and Work Experience of each employee is greater compared to the influence of the brand in influencing consumers' purchasing decisions for a product. This study employs a quantitative approach with an associative method. The population for this research consists of 36 respondents, using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection is carried out through interviews and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis methods include validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear analysis, partial test, and determination test. The findings indicate that Hard Skill, Soft Skill, and Work Experience variables have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. These variables also have a simultaneous influence on employee performance, with an R-value of 0.705, indicating that these factors account for 70.5% of the variance in employee performance, signifying a strong influence. The Adjusted R Square value is 45%, implying that the remaining 55% is influenced by other variables not explained in this study.

Abstract

Rubber is a type of plantation commodity that is part of the leading export commodity and generates a lot of profit for Indonesia's foreign exchange. One of the largest rubber producing centers in Indonesia is Jambi. However, the production of rubber in Jambi has fluctuated. Meanwhile, the potential size of the rubber trade market is very high. So it is feared that rubber production cannot keep up with the fulfillment of the domestic market and the international level. Then the purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect both the long term and the short term on rubber production in Jambi as a determinant of a more appropriate policy to enable an increase in its production. The method used in this research is Error Correction Mechanism (ECM) with the research period starting from 2000 to 2021. Based on the results of the research conducted, in the long term the variable of planting area and the number of superior seeds has a significant effect on rubber production in Jambi while the variable number of rubber farmers is not significant in influencing rubber production. Meanwhile, in the short term, only the variable number of rubber farmers has a significant effect on rubber production, while the variables of planting area and number of seeds are not significant in influencing rubber production.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the influence of marketing mix factors on the interest in undergoing surgery among patients with back pain at RS Indrajana in 2023. This research adopts a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at RS Indrajana in July 2023, and the research population consisted of 112 patients. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument employed a questionnaire with closed-ended questions and predefined response scales. Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. The research results indicate that there is a relationship between the marketing mix elements of product (p=0.036), price (p=0.000), promotion (p=0.005), people (p=0.000), and process (p=0.034) with the interest in undergoing surgery. The most dominant factors based on multivariate analysis are the marketing mix elements of people (p-value 0.043 < 0.05) and price (p-value 0.018 < 0.05). In conclusion, the marketing mix elements of product, price, promotion, people, and process have an influence on the interest of patients with back pain to undergo surgery at RS Indrajana in 2023. The marketing mix elements of people and price are the most dominant factors.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia with a high GDP. However, Indonesia's logistic performance is not very impressive, ranking 46th out of 160 countries with an index of 3.15, still falling behind Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. This phenomenon could be attributed to a lack of supply chain configuration. Supply chain management involves how firms manage their resources as inputs, which are then processed to become products or outputs. Furthermore, in the field of strategic management, researchers have noted that firms in emerging countries are increasingly moving away from strategic management accounting (SMA), primarily due to its high cost and the need for experts to conduct SMA. However, it's worth noting that SMA includes supply chain configuration as a means to reduce costs and improve efficiency. SMA is not just about managing costs; it also focuses on enhancing performance from the customer's perspective, emphasizing Customer Value. Customer Value is a technique for boosting a firm's performance by strengthening customer relationships. Given the limited research in emerging countries, especially in Indonesia, this topic warrants further investigation. This research aims to analyze the effects of strategic management accounting, supply chain performance, and Customer Value on a firm's financial performance. Using a quantitative approach (SEM-PLS), 100 samples from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Kota Bogor were tested. The results indicate that strategic management accounting has a negative effect on Firm Financial Performance, while Supply Chain Performance and Customer Value have positive effects on Firm Financial Performance.

Abstract

Gramedia, a thriving retail establishment specializing in books and office supplies, serves as the focal point of this study. Examining the effects of pricing and in-store atmosphere on consumer decision-making at the Gramedia Gajah Mada Medan branch is the study's main goal. We will delve into the implications of price on individuals and society as a whole and store ambiance on purchasing choices. The findings unveiled that the pricing factor (X1) exerts an insignificant influence on purchasing decisions. In contrast, the store's ambiance factor (X2) exerts a substantial impact on consumer choices. When evaluated in tandem, both pricing and store ambiance factors collectively influence purchasing decisions (Y). The coefficient of determination analysis, characterized by an R2 value of 0.608 or 60.8%, illuminates that pricing and store ambiance factors can account for 60.8% of variations in the purchasing decision variable. The remaining 39.2% is subject to the sway of other variables such as service quality, location, or other unexplored factors outside the purview of this study.
