Abstract

Education currently occupies a very important position in human development. The quality of the Finnish educational system is interesting to study because its success has been recognized worldwide. This study provides an overview of the comparison of the education systems of the countries of Indonesia and Finnish. The method used in this study is literature study. The results of the study show several differences, (1) Indonesia's educational system is colored by many competitions while Finnish puts forward the principle of equality; (2) Indonesia has a system of failing a grade and student ranking, Finnish has?nt failing a grade and ranking system; (3) Indonesia load learning every week +/- 40 hours, Finnish lessons +/- 30 hours per week; (4) Indonesia learns a lot in class, Finnish puts forward problem solving methods; (5) Indonesia assignments almost become a routine agenda every face to face, Finnish does not burden students with a lot of tasks, (6) Indonesia minimum teacher qualifications D4, Finnish minimum teacher qualifications S2 (Master), (7) Indonesian qualifications students enter basic education for at least 6 years (5.5 years accompanied by written recommendations from professional psychologists), Finnish qualifications for students entering basic education for at least 7 years.

Abstract

This study aims to determine, 1) the level of human capital of student organizations, (2) the level of student organization performance, (3) the relationship of human capital to the performance of student organizations in the Faculty of Education (FIP) Malang State University (UM). This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with respondent members of student organizations in FIP UM. The analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis and correlation. The results of this study indicate: (1) the level of human capital of student organizations in the Faculty of Education UM is quite good; (2) the level of performance of student organizations in the Faculty of Education UM is quite good and (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between human capital on the performance of student organizations in the Faculty of Education, State University of Malang.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menetapkan faktor-faktor penyebab dan juga dampak yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya komitmen guru bidang studi di SMK Riyadlul Quran dan strategi yang dapat ditemukan untuk memecahkan masalah rendahnya komitmen kerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan teknik tree diagram untuk menganalisis masalah, menganalisis penyebab masalah dan juga menganalisis dampak yang disebabkan oleh masalah ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya komitmen guru dalam bekerja di SMK Riyadlul Quran disebabkan oleh; (1) motivasi kerja guru rendah, (2) peraturan sekolah yang berlaku tidak diterapkan secara optimal, dan (3) kurangnya pengawasan oleh kepala sekolah. Pembentukan komitmen kerja guru dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Oleh karena itu, komitmen kerja guru harus ditingkatkan karena keberhasilan siswa tergantung pada kualitas guru.Abstract: The aims of this study is to establish the causal factors and also the impacts caused by the low commitment of teachers in the field of study at SMK Riyadlul Quran and that strategies can be found to solve the problem. This study used a descriptive qualitative research design with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation and documentation study. In this study, the authors used a problem tree diagram technique to analyze problems, analyze the causes of problems and also analyze the impact caused by these problems. The results of this study indicate that the low commitment of teacher work at SMK Riyadlul Quran, caused by; (1) motivation of teacher work is low, (2) applicable school regulations are not implemented optimally, and (3) lack of supervision by the principal. In conclusion, the formation of a teacher's work commitment is influenced by internal factors and external factors. Therefore, teacher work commitments must be increased because the success of students is depend on the quality of the teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know, (1) identify the problem of teachers’ and educational personnel, (2) the application of USG matrix method, and (3) the impact of the problems of the educator components and education in learning at integrated islamic primary school. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The research performs analysis using the matrix theory Urgency, Seriousness and Growth (USG). The site of this research is at SD Islam Terpadu Robbani Malang Regency, Indonesia. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, documentation, and library studies. The analysis of the data in the get resulted in the findings that correspond to the problems faced by the school. The results of the study are (1) problems that cause low PTK (Teachers and Educational Personnel) values i.e. teacher qualifications are not appropriate, teachers do not have a certificate of teachers’, and teachers do not teach in accordance with educational background, (2) problems that must be resolved in advance that (a) the teachers do not teach in accordance and (b) learners are lacking in receiving learning.

Abstract

Current education programs are directed at the implementation and strengthening of character education in schools. Character education is considered the right solution to solve the problems of the Indonesian nation. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning process for strengthening character education based on integrity values in schools, the implementation of the lost and found box program in schools, and the impact of implementing the lost and found box program in schools. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation studies. This research was conducted at Elementary School Laboratory Universitas Negeri Malang, Blitar City, with the principal as the key informant and teacher, education staff and school committee as additional informants. The results of this study shows that planning activities in the integrity value-based character education strengthening program have been divided into learning and non-learning aspects. Program planning is carried out through work meetings involving school principals, teachers, education personnel, parents, school committees, stakeholders, education experts, with the principal as the highest decision maker. The impact of implementing the "Lost and Found Box" program in schools is (1) increased honesty behavior of students, (2) students understand the concept of ownership, (3) students feel responsible for personal property and other people, and (4) school students are felt to be safer.

Abstract

The Education is a basic human need that is very important. The purpose of this study are (1) to know the commitment of the holy kalam Christian primary school principals in quality assurance, (2) to prepare the accreditation of the holy kalam Christian primary school, and the implementation and follow-up of the results of the accreditation of the holy kalam christian elementary school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The findings in this study are (1) the form of commitment carried out by the principal in order to maintain quality is done in various ways including optimizing the performance of the school's internal quality assurance system team, (2) there are at least 3 aspects that are prepared in implementing school accreditation, namely aspects of facilities and infrastructure (sarpras), administration, and preparation for the implementation of visitation, and (3) follow-up to improve school quality, the results and accreditation recommendations obtained are taken into consideration by schools in the framework of making policies for improving school quality, as well as improving school facilities and infrastructure. technology-based to support education and learning activities in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe conflicts in an organization, what factors cause conflict, approaches to conflict handling, and the impact of conflict on organizational performance. This type of research is a literature study. The results of this study are (1) conflict can be interpreted with 3 meanings, namely positive, neutral, and negative meanings, (2) the factors that cause conflict can come from external and internal factors of individual organizations. Internal factors can be in the form of personality differences, stress, decreased productivity and so on. While external factors can be in the form of communication problems, limited resources, sexual harassment, and so on, (3) the approach to handling conflict requires leadership skills. There are eight conflicts handling approaches, namely, deliberation, interference by third parties, confrontation, bargaining (bargaining), compromise, mediation, conciliation and consultation, and increasing resources, and (4) the performance of an individual can be hampered due to conflict, however not all conflicts have a negative impact, conflict can have a positive impact if it can be managed appropriately.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat melalui program pendampingan sitasi berbasis mendeley dalam penulisan artikel layak jurnal bereputasi bagi tenaga pendidik se Kabupaten Bondowoso ini adalah membekali pengetahuan dan keterampilan menyusun artikel kepada para tenaga pendidik se Kabupaten Bondowoso. Luaran dari kegiatan pendampingan tersebut antara lain: artikel layak jurnal berbasis sitasi otomatis dengan plug in mendeley dan artikel pengabdian.Strategi pelaksanaan kegiatan ini antara lain workshop, penugasan, pendampingan individual, fasilitasi pencarian jurnal untuk penerbitan artikel. Strategi pelaksanaan dilaksanakan secara terintegrasi dengan metode: ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, modelling, discovery, problem based learning, dan penugasan, serta advokasi.Hasil yang diperoleh adalah peserta memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam penyusunan artikel berbasis sitasi otomatis dengan plug in mendeley. Hal tersebut diketahui dari luaran berupa draf artikel berbasis sitasi otomatis dengan plug in mendeley yang disusun para guru yang dihasilkan dalam dua hari workshop. Kata kunci— pendampingan, penulisan, karya tulis ilmiah, artikel berbasis sitasi otomatis. Abstract The aim of community service through Mendeley-based citation assistance programs in writing articles worthy of reputable journals for educators in Bondowoso Regency is to equip knowledge and skills in preparing articles for educators in Bondowoso Regency. The outputs of the mentoring activities include: proper articles based on automatic citation-based journals with plug-in delays and service articles. The strategy for carrying out these activities includes workshops, assignments, individual assistance, facilitation of journal search for article publishing. The implementation strategy is implemented in an integrated manner with methods: lecture, question and answer, discussion, modeling, discovery, problem based learning, and assignment, as well as advocacy. The results obtained are participants have the ability and skills in preparing automatic citation-based articles with plug-in mendeley. This is known from the output in the form of an automatic citation-based article with a plug-in mendey prepared by the teachers produced in two days of the workshop.Keywords— assistance, writing, scientific papers, automatic citation-based articles

Abstract

Persistence for achievement reflected from the willingness and determination of principal to implement quality leadership will facilitate the improvement of teachers’ performance, and the two will be the determinant factors for the students’ ultimate achievement. This study aims at analyzing empirical data on the effect of instructional, transformational and spiritual leadership as independent variables, with school quality as the dependent variable. In addition, the intervening variable is teachers’ performance. This study employed the quantitative approach in which samples of 181 teachers were re taken using the proportional random sampling technique. All data were then analysed using the SEM technique with the AMOS 24 application. The findings show that: (1) there is a direct effect of instructional leadership on teachers’ performance, transformational leadership on teachers’ performance, spiritual leadership on teachers’ performance, instructional leadership on students’ achievement, transformational leadership on students’ achievement, spiritual leadership on students’ achievement, and teachers’ performance on students’ achievement. In addition, (2) there is an indirect effect of instructional leadership on students’ achievement through teachers’ performance, transformational leadership on students’ achievement through teachers’ performance and spiritual leadership on students’ achievement through teachers’ performance.
