Abstract

Within PT. Panca Karsa Sejahtera, specifically the Division Project Dismantle Microwave, recurrent challenges have surfaced including one-sided communication from superiors to subordinates, fragmented team responsibilities becoming individual tasks, and dwindling work targets. Addressing these concerns, this study aims to investigate the relationship of internal communication, teamwork, and employee performance. This study was conducted in Bekasi City, which employs a quantitative approach with total sampling of 100 respondents and employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using smartPLS Version 3 for analysis. Findings reveal that while internal communication positively influences employee performance, its statistical significance is limited. In contrast, teamwork significantly and positively impacts employee performance, while internal communication also significantly enhances teamwork. Effective internal communication is advised for streamlined workflow, and optimizing employee performance requires tailored skill training. Encouraging teamwork through training and active participation is recommended for improved performance. This study offers actionable insights for refining operations and elevating employee performance in the Division Project Dismantle Microwave.

Abstract

The current study aimed to investigate the impact of corporate governance mechanisms on the profitability of listed companies within the Saudi Stock Exchange (SSE). The methodology involved data collection from the SSE for the fiscal year 2021, with a research sample comprising 60 corporations. The study's independent variables encompassed the size of the board of directors, frequency of board meetings, and the presence of risk management practices. The dependent variable was corporate performance, as indicated by the return on assets (ROA). To enhance the evaluation of the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, the study also incorporated a control variable - the size of the corporation. The study's findings unveiled that a larger board size had a positive impact on the performance of Saudi corporations. Furthermore, both an increased frequency of board meetings and the implementation of risk management practices exhibited positive effects on corporate performance. This research contributes significantly by exploring the direct influence of board size, board meeting frequency, and risk management practices on the performance of SSE-listed companies. The study's novelty lies in its comprehensive examination of these specific corporate governance mechanisms and their correlation with return on assets.

Abstract

The evolution of Islamic financial institutions and the intensifying competition between Islamic and conventional financial entities in garnering public interest for savings and fundraising, it is foreseeable that Islamic financial institutions might encounter challenges. These challenges are intrinsic to the intricate processes of creating, conveying, and delivering value to customers, as well as effectively managing customer relationships for mutual organizational and stakeholder benefits. The objective of this research is to ascertain the impact of the marketing mix on the decision-making process regarding savings at BPRS Ampek Angkek Candung West Pasaman Barat. Employing a quantitative approach along with statistical methodologies, this study investigates the interplay between the Marketing Mix (X) and Customer Decisions (Y), with 96 respondents participating. The outcomes of the hypothesis testing reveal a significance value of 0.017, which is lower than the predefined significance level (α) of 0.05 (0.017 < 0.05). This statistical finding substantiates the existence of a substantial relationship between the marketing mix and the choice to save at BPR Syariah Ampek Angkek Candung West Pasaman Barat. Consequently, it can be inferred that the marketing mix significantly contributes to the decision-making process regarding savings. This research underscores the pivotal role of strategic marketing practices in influencing customers' decisions to engage in savings activities within the context of Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

The environment is a global concern, including within Bunaken National Park. Safeguarding biodiversity is crucial for sustainable use. However, conservation efforts still face challenges. A significant threat to forest ecosystems is illegal logging, fragmentation, and forest conversion. This study aims to comprehend the local wisdom of the Bunaken National Park community concerning marine conservation. The study employs a qualitative research method with an ecological anthropology approach. Data were collected by means of interviews, observations, and document analysis from local communities. The findings reveal several significant points: Firstly, the community actively engages in the marine conservation process through a participatory approach. Despite the initial clash of interests between fishermen and the national park management, a mutual understanding was eventually reached regarding marine protection zones, encompassing core and utilization zones. Secondly, religious leaders wield a pivotal role in conservation endeavors. They interact with formal leaders and the community during worship, encouraging marine environment protection and community involvement in trash cleanup and preservation of mangrove trees. Thirdly, local wisdom, knowledge, and values persist in people's daily lives. Despite the religious shift from traditional beliefs to Christianity and Islam, certain values endure, such as the correlation between celestial bodies (moon and stars) and agricultural and fishing activities. Fourthly, the Navy contributes to marine conservation by offering close supervision, influencing changes in the mindset and behavior of the neighboring community to safeguard mangrove forests and marine habitats while diminishing the risk of wave-related disasters during high tides.

Abstract

Organizations and institutions serve as dynamic hubs where diverse backgrounds and perspectives converge. While individuals often establish deep connections, considering these places a second home. This study explores how personal diversity, technology, and organizational culture intersect in organizations, aiming to understand their impact on self-belonging and the overall culture. Through literature review and case analysis, we scrutinize the intricate relationships between personal diversity, technology, and culture. Effective management can alleviate challenges stemming from these dynamics, enhancing human resource conditions. Successful strategies embracing diversity and technology can positively influence these conditions. Although technology accelerates institutional development, cultural change is gradual. Effective management is crucial in bridging gaps between personal diversity, technology, and cultural continuity. Improved conditions foster self-belonging, enriching organizational culture. This research underscores the role of strategic management in harmonizing personal identities with organizational values, ultimately fostering an adaptive institutional culture.

Abstract

Work stress, often arising from factors such as heavy workloads, tight deadlines, and interpersonal conflicts, can negatively impact employees' mental and physical health, job satisfaction, and overall job performance. High levels of work stress can lead to decreased motivation, increased absenteeism, and reduced productivity, which can ultimately affect an organization's bottom line. On the other hand, job satisfaction is a measure of how content employees are with their work and the work environment. When employees are satisfied with their jobs, they tend to be more engaged, motivated, and committed to their tasks, leading to higher job performance and overall organizational success. Job satisfaction is influenced by various factors, including job security, recognition, work-life balance, and opportunities for growth and development. This study aims to determine the effects of work stress (X1) and job satisfaction (X2) on the performance (Y) of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, Panakkukang Makassar Branch. The research type employed is descriptive quantitative. The study's population consists of all employees at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, which includes 73 branches in Panakkukang Makassar. The sample size comprises 73 employees. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. Data analysis involved simple regression analysis using SPSS Version 25 in 2023. The results indicate that work stress has no positive and significant effect on performance; when work stress increases, employee performance decreases, and vice versa. Conversely, job satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on performance. When individuals experience higher job satisfaction, it leads to improved performance.
