Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the intensity of students in the Department of Islamic Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, especially students of 2017 and 2018 class in playing online games, and the effect on their religious observance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 52 students. The research data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the correlation analysis product moment. The results showed that the majority of students played intensely online games. However, their intensity of playing online games did not have a significant effect on their religious observance. The results of the analysis with the product-moment indicates 0.206 <0.279 where rcount is lower than rtable. Keywords: Online Games, Religious Observance

Abstract

This research aims to gain deeper insights into the experiences and perceptions of 50 fourth-semester students in the Economics Education program at Universitas PGRI Argopuro Jember (UNIPAR) during the academic year 2022/2023 regarding their learning and adaptation experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic period. The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument. The findings of the study indicate that students faced various challenges in navigating remote learning during the pandemic and beyond. They faced technical issues and had trouble staying motivated and focused during online learning. However, as time passed after the pandemic, some students showed better adaptation to this new learning environment. Additionally, the study identifies key adaptation strategies used by students during and after the pandemic, such as improving time management and seeking assistance from lecturers and peers. These insights greatly enhance our understanding of how students manage remote learning challenges in both pandemic and post-pandemic contexts.

Abstract

Abstract"Micro Teaching" is a mandatory course in the Mandarin Language Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Tanjungpura University, serving as preparation for students before their Practicum in Schools (PPL). The primary focus of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to apply the theoretical teaching skills they have previously learned. This descriptive study, using observation, surveys, and interviews, reveals that in teaching vocabulary, grammar, and reading, instructors in micro-teaching tend to rely on the translation method. There is also the utilization of visual aids, either separately or in combination with other methods, although instructors have not fully implemented them effectively in the classroom. The dominance of the translation method in the learning process is due to its simplicity and speed, especially considering the limitations in Mandarin language proficiency among instructors. Unfortunately, the teaching of pronounciation and Hanzi tends to be neglected, focusing solely on the sequence of writing Hanzi characters. Moreover, the interaction pattern between teachers and students, which should ideally be two-way and practical, still tends to be dominated by the role of the teacher.Keywords: Micro-teaching, Teaching Method, Chinese. Abstrak “Micro Teaching” merupakan mata kuliah wajib di Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura, sebagai persiapan bagi mahasiswa sebelum menjalani PPL di sekolah. Fokus utama mata kuliah ini adalah memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk menerapkan teori keterampilan mengajar yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya. Penelitian deskriptif ini dilakukan melalui metode observasi, survei, dan wawancara, dengan hasil bahwa dalam pengajaran kosakata, tata bahasa, dan bacaan, guru-guru dalam micro teaching cenderung mengandalkan metode penerjemahan. Terdapat juga penggunaan metode gambar dan ilustrasi, baik secara terpisah maupun kombinasi dengan metode lainnya, namun guru belum sepenuhnya mampu mengimplementasikannya dengan baik di kelas. Metode penerjemahan lebih dominan dalam proses pembelajaran dikarenakan kemudahannya dan kecepatannya, terlebih lagi karena adanya keterbatasan kemahiran guru dalam berbahasa Mandarin. Sayangnya, pembelajaran pelafalan dan Hanzi cenderung terabaikan karena hanya fokus pada urutan penulisan karakter Hanzi. Selain itu, pola interaksi antara guru dan siswa, yang seharusnya bersifat dua arah dan efektif, masih cenderung didominasi oleh peran guru. Kata Kunci: Micro teaching, Metode Pembelajaran, bahasa Mandarin.

Abstract

AbstractThe utilization of YouTube as a learning media makes it easier for educators to present concrete material, aiming to increase students' motivation in learning financial accounting. Quantitative research at SMK Negeri 1 Sanggau using the experimental method showed significant differences in learner motivation before and after using YouTube (significance level α = 0.00). This result indicates the effectiveness of learning financial accounting through YouTube in increasing learners' learning motivation. YouTube not only acts as a source of visual information, but also triggers positive and interactive responses, offering an innovative approach in the delivery of material. The implication is that the integration of YouTube as an effective learning tool can increase learners' learning motivation in financial accounting.Keywords: youtube, learning media, learning motivation. AbstrakPemanfaatan YouTube sebagai media pembelajaran memberikan kemudahan pendidik dalam menyajikan materi konkret, bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran akuntansi keuangan. Penelitian kuantitatif di SMK Negeri 1 Sanggau menggunakan metode eksperimen menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam motivasi belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan YouTube (tingkat signifikansi α = 0,00). Hasil ini mengindikasikan keefektifan pembelajaran akuntansi keuangan melalui YouTube dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. YouTube tidak hanya berperan sebagai sumber informasi visual, tetapi juga memicu respon positif dan interaktif, menawarkan pendekatan inovatif dalam penyampaian materi. Implikasinya, integrasi YouTube sebagai alat pembelajaran efektif dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik di bidang akuntansi keuangan.Kata Kunci: youtube, media pembelajaran, motivasi belajar.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PjBL), an innovative teaching approach that emphasizes active, student-centered learning through real-world projects, serves as a cornerstone for educational advancement. However, in the specific context of Islamic schools setting, there exists a recognized need for the improvement of writing skills among first-grade students. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) study, spanning two cycles with a cohort of 15 participants at Mts. Insan Madani, Situbondo, is dedicated to achieving significant advancements in writing skill proficiency through the implementation of PjBL. Findings from the study indicate marked enhancements in creativity, engagement, and collaborative abilities. Concurrently, certain challenges surfaced, particularly in the realms of time management and the necessity for more structured guidance during the initial stages of PjBL implementation. The implications of this research underscore the efficacy of PjBL in enhancing writing skills within an Islamic school setting, emphasizing the potential for the integration of PjBL as an educational approach to nurture essential writing skills. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge the importance of providing additional support in specific areas. Recommendations for future research encompass expanding the study to different grade levels and incorporating a more extensive participant pool to further validate the findings, thereby offering a comprehensive understanding of the broader impacts of PjBL on writing skill development within Islamic schools.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to analyze the skills of explaining lessons to prospective teacher students at FTIK IAIN Bukittinggi. The qualitative research method used is a content analysis approach. The results of the research show that students master the skill of explaining far from other skills. Explaining skills as a basis for establishing concepts that will be conveyed to students. The teacher is like the man behind the gun. Whatever caliber of weapon is used, if the teacher is not adept at operationalizing explanation skills, the results will be far from what was expected. On the other hand, even though the weapon the teacher uses is only a stone, with his skill, he will be able to reach the target optimally. As FTIK students and prospective teachers, you must be able to master the skills of explaining well. One way to do this is to master the material to be taught and do lots of practice. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif pendekatan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa mahasiswa dalam menguasai keterampilan menjelaskan jauh dari keterampilan yang lain. Keterampilan menjelaskan sebagai dasar untuk mendudukkan konsep yang akan disampaikan kepada peserta didik. Guru itu bagaikan man behind the gun. Sekaliber apapun senjata yang akan dipergunakan, apabila guru kurang mahir mengoperasionalkan keterampilan menjelaskan, maka hasilnya akan jauh dari apa yang diharapkan. Sebaliknya, meskipun senjata yang akan dipakai guru itu hanya sebuah batu, tetapi dengan keahliannya, dia akan dapat mencapai sasaran secara optimal. Sebagai mahasiswa FTIK dan calon guru harus mampu menguasai keterampilan menjelaskan secara baik. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan penguasan materi yang akan diajarkan dan banyak melakukan latihan.Kata Kunci: Keterampilan, Mahasiswa, Menjelaskan Materi

Abstract

AbstractThe rise of augmented reality (AR) technology has significantly impacted education, particularly in the realm of interactive educational media. Augmented reality -based learning media aims to cultivate an immersive and captivating learning environment by leveraging three-dimensional displays. This research explores the necessity for interactive economic learning media based on augmented reality among high school students. Employing a qualitative approach through a case study involving 15 economics teachers in Singkawang, the study utilized focus group interviews for data collection and thematic analysis for interpretation. Findings indicate a consensus among teachers that augmented reality -based economic learning is essential to enhance students' motivation. Recognizing the demand for 21st Century learning, the study underscores the importance of integrating contemporary, immersive media to cater to the preferences of today's youth, ensuring that students perceive learning as a gratifying experience intertwined with technological advancements.Keywords: Augmented reality, Economics, Learning Media AbstrakBidang pendidikan telah sangat dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan teknologi augmented reality (AR), khususnya di bidang media pembelajaran interaktif. Media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality  bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan lingkungan belajar yang imersif dan menawan dengan memanfaatkan tampilan tiga dimensi. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran ekonomi interaktif berbasis augmented reality  di kalangan peserta didik SMA. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus yang melibatkan 15 guru ekonomi di Singkawang, penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara kelompok terfokus untuk pengumpulan data dan analisis tematik untuk interpretasi. Temuan menunjukkan adanya konsensus di antara para guru bahwa pembelajaran ekonomi berbasis augmented reality  sangat penting untuk meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik. Menyadari permintaan untuk pembelajaran Abad ke-21, penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya mengintegrasikan media kontemporer dan imersif untuk memenuhi preferensi generasi muda saat ini, memastikan bahwa peserta didik menganggap pembelajaran sebagai pengalaman yang memuaskan yang terkait dengan kemajuan teknologi.Kata Kunci: Augemented Reality, Ekonomi, Media Pembelajaran

Abstract

AbstractAccording to the survey data of east java community groups with 92,29% of student respondents of east java, almost all students wanted creative and innovative online learning methods to make student study more comfortable, the basis of this research is the same as Indonesian efforts to receive industrial era 4.0. this research is classified as classroom action research with two-cycle. In the early stage of the entry behaviorist test, the student scored good, excellent, and perfect is 0%, and after the activities of cycle one and cycle two implemented, a student there was in grades good score. They got a pore score of 30 students, 25 students got a good score, 30 students got an excellent score, and 15 students got a perfect score. we can conclude, students have increased almost 30 % in every cycle. Keywords: Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL), Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, English Learning. AbstrakSesuai hasil data survey kelompok masyarakat Jawa Timur dengan responden pelajar Jawa Timur sebanyak 92,29 persen, hasil dari kegiatan tersebut hampir seluruh siswa menginginkan pembelajaran kreatif dan inovatif agar siwa mampu belajar dengan nyaman. Hal tersebut yang melandasi dilaksanakanya penelitian ini. Implementasi Penelitian Ini sejalan dengan upaya Indonesia menyongsong era industri 4.0, Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian Tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus. Pada tahapan awal atau Entry Behavioris Tes, siswa yang mendapat nilai dengan standat baik, sangat baik dan sempurna masih 0%, dan setelah dilakuknya kegiatan siklus 1 dan siklus 2 dengan Mall (mobile assisted language leraning), siswa-siswi mulai ada peningkatan nilai, yakni siswa yang berhasil mendapatkan nilai cukup ada 30 siswa, siswa yang berhasil mendapatkan nilai baik terdapat 25 siswa, sedangkan siswa yang memperoleh nilai sangat baik terdapat 30 siswa, dan siswa yang mendapatkan nilai sempurna terdapat 15 siswa, dalam setiap sikulsnya nilai ulangan siswa – siswi mengalami peningkatan hampir 30%. Abstract

Pembelajaran teori yang terkesan membosankan serta siswa yang malas dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran yang hanya menggunakan buku paket masih menjadi permasalahan yang dihadapi pendidik saat pembelajaran di sekolah, sehingga diperlukan upaya guna meningkatkan pendidikan melalui penciptaan inovasi media interaktif pada pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan menarik minat belajar siswa serta mengetahui  kelayakan produk terkait dengan materi Standar Komunikasi Data dengan dilengkapi video berupa animasi motion graphic. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluate). Untuk mendapat umpan balik pengguna, media interaktif diuji secara individual, pertama dengan 2 ahli media, dimana rata – rata koefisien V adalah 0,88 yang dinilai valid, dan uji reliabilitas ahli materi sebesar 0,876 yang dinilai reliabilitas kuat. Uji coba kedua yaitu kepada 2 ahli materi dengan hasil rata – rata koefisien V adalah 0,93 yang dinilai valid, dan mendapatkan nilai uji reliabilitas sebesar 0,815 yang dinilai reliabilitas kuat. Hasil dari wawancara pertanyaan terbuka mengenai media interaktif motion graphic animation yang mana siswa memberi persepsi positif dan mengakui bahwa penggunaan media interaktif pada materi Standar Komunikasi Data ini dapat memudahkan dalam pemahaman materi karena tampilan dari aplikasi serta video motion graphic menarik. Siswa juga merasa senang setelah menggunakan media interaktif ini untuk belajar materi Standar Komunikasi Data daripada hanya membaca buku paket atau modul. Hasil uji interpretasi yang dilakukan terhadap 5 siswa mendapatkan nilai persentase sebesar 64% yang masuk dalam kategori “Setuju”. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian peneliti, produk yang dikembangkan tergolong layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pendukung dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to address this gap by examining rural adolescents' perspectives on the use of digital literacy in self-directed learning and its potential to transform rural education. The research employed a qualitative approach and involved in-depth interviews with thirty rural adolescents. The findings indicate that rural adolescents perceive themselves to have good digital literacy skills and actively use digital media for learning. They recognise the benefits of digital literacy in accessing information, collaborating with others, and overcoming learning barriers. The study underscores the significance of digital literacy in empowering rural adolescents to take charge of their education and navigate the digital landscape. These findings have implications for educators and policymakers in promoting digital literacy in rural areas to ensure equitable access to high-quality education. Future research should further investigate the intersection of digital literacy and self-directed learning among adolescents to enhance educational outcomes in an increasingly digital world.
