Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of two types of tuba root extract, namely milk sap tuba root and clear sap tuba root in Wood Preservation of Gmelina (G. arborea Roxb) against subterranean termites. The method of testing against subterranean termites is using the burial method for 12 weeks. Wood resistance is calculated from the percentage of weight loss and the degree of termite attack on wood according to SNI 01-7207-2006 concerning the classification of wood resistance to subterranean termite attacks. the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of preservatives for milk sap tuba root and clear sap tuba root with concentrations of 2% and 4% were not considered effective for preserving Gmelina wood from subterranean termites. Keywords: Gmelina wood, preservation, milk sap tuba root, clear sap tuba root, subterranean termites, loss of weight, degree of attack.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan dua jenis ekstrak akar tuba yaitu akar tuba getah susu  dan akar tuba getah bening  dalam pengawetan kayu Gmelina (G. arborea Roxb) terhadap Rayap Tanah. Metode pengujian rayap tanah menggunakan metode penguburan selama 12 minggu. Ketahanan kayu dihitung dari persentase kehilangan berat dan derajat serangan rayap pada kayu menurut SNI 01-7207-2006 tentang klasifikasi ketahanan kayu terhadap serangan rayap tanah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahan pengawet akar tuba getah susu dan akar tuba getah bening dengan konsentrasi konsentrasi 2% dan 4%, dinilai belum efektif untuk di jadikan bahan mengawetkan kayu Gmelina dari serangan Rayap Tanah. Kata kunci: Kayu Gmelina, pengawetan, akar tuba getah susu, akar tuba getah bening, rayap tanah, Kehilangan berat, derajat serangan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of diversity of vegetation types. This research was carried out in the Nipa-Nipa Forest Park, Protection Block, Punggaloba Village, West Kendari District, from September to October 2021. The sampling intensity used was 1% of an area of 96.07 Ha, so that a sample area of 0.96 Ha was obtained with The number of plots is 24 plots, which are placed using the plotted transect method. The results showed that the level of species diversity (H') for the tree level was 1.388 (medium), the pole level was 1.348 (medium), the sapling level was 0.96 (low) and the seedling level was 1.306 (medium).Keywords : Protection Block, Diversity, Nipa-Nipa Forest Park

Abstract

Tatangge Education Forest is part of the Rawa Aopa Watumohai National Park which includes a utilization zone that is used for scientific research purposes, to support culture, tourism and nature recreation. The study aims to determine the types of invasive alien species in the Tatangge Education Forest Rawa Aopa Watumohai National Park, which was carried out in the Tatangge Education Forest Rawa Aopa Watumohai National Park from August to September 2021 using the purposive sampling method. Based on the results of the study, obtaibed 24 types of invasive alien species spread ove the 3 largest ecosystem types in a row, namely in the savanna ecosystem found as many as 16 species, in the forest ecosystem as many a 15 species and swamp ecosystem found only 5 species.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis anggrek epifit pada ekosistem hutan hujan dataran rendah Mandu-Mandula di Taman Nasional Rawa AopaWatumohai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode jelajah (Survey Eksploratif) dengan menjelajahi hutan dataran rendah Mandu-Mandula. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis Anggrek epifit yang ditemukan sebanyak 9 jenis antara lain Vanda miniata (Lindl.) L.M.Gardiner., Cleisostomasimondii (Gagnep.) Seidenf., Cymbidium finlaysonianumWall ex. Lindl., Dendrobium crumenatumSwatz., Dendrobium litoraleSchltr., Dendrobium sp., Luisiajavanica J.J. Smith, Taeniophyllum sp., dan Vandopsislissochiloides (Gaud.) Pfitz.

Abstract

ABSTRAKThe purpose of this study was to determinate the distribution of Lontar Plants (Borassus flabellifer) in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency.This research was carried out in Bangkala Districtn Jeneponto regency in approximately 2 (two) months, where the intial research started frrom september – November 2017.The data collection method used was observation by direct observation at the research location, namely in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency and talking coordinate points, interview wuth relevant agencies to obtain information on the location of Lontar Plants (Borassus flabellifer) as well as literature studies by reading reference books or documentation related to research on Lontar (Borassus flabellifer). From the data processing is carried out using Spatial Analysis aand Quantitative Descriptive Analysis.The results showed that Lontara plants (Borassus flabellifer) in Bangkala District were found in Punagayya, Mallasoro, Bontomarannu, Jenetallasa, Bontomanai and Kalimporo Villages on Mediteranean Dark Chocolate, Gramusol gray and Mediternean reddish brown. Rainfall 1080 / year and acccording to Schmidt - Ferguson is include in the type D climate, the altitude is 300 m above sea level which means it is in the lowland to hill category and slope is 0-8% which mean it is lowland.
