Abstract

Quality education is education that already has careful planning to improve the quality of human resources, by freeing students from their inability. With the existence of quality education, it will be born a generation that is superior from the aspect of life as the nation's successor. Nadiem Makarim created a new platform, namely “Merdeka Belajar” (Independent Learning), with the latest policies aimed at changing education for the better, improving the quality of human resources in learning and easing the burden that has been borne so far. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to describe independent learning as a strategy to improve the quality of education. While the sources taken by the author are scientific books, journals, articles as reference material in this study. The results of the study show that the independent learning policy can ease the burden on students, teachers, schools and the community so that in improving the quality of education the school can focus more and be committed to improving the quality of education.

Abstract

It has become public awareness that education is a means that human beings use throughout their lives to transmit and transform values as well as knowledge. Due to its strategic roles in transmitting and transforming values and knowledge, education also plays a very important role in instilling and developing the nation's character. Character education is important for the human's life so that the role education plays is not only limited to showing moral knowledge but also loving and willing to take moral actions.

Abstract

Character education is important for human life, so the role played by the world of education must not only show moral knowledge, but also love and be willing to take moral action. This paper will discuss the formation of student character through Islamic religious education. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is one of the most important pillars of character education in the world of education. Character education will grow well if it starts from the instillation of a religious spirit in children, therefore PAI material in schools is one of the supports for character education for students. Through PAI learning, students are taught aqidah as their religious basis, taught the Koran and hadith as a guide for their life, taught fiqh as legal signs in worship, teaches Islamic history as an example of life, and teaches morals as a guide for human behavior whether in the good or bad category. bad. Therefore, the main goal of PAI learning is the formation of personality in students which is reflected in their behavior and mindset in everyday life. In addition, the success of PAI learning in schools is also determined by the application of appropriate learning methods.

Abstract

This research article aims to examine women in Islamic studies who have occupied a very top position. Dialogical studies on women have been widely discussed by gender activists, especially discussions on gender equality. Among the feminist figures who advocate for women's rights and gender equality are Qasim Amin, Amina Wadud Muhsin, Fatimah Mernissi, and Asghar Ali Engineer. They look at women through their own thinking glasses. This paper only presents some of the opinions of these feminist figures, however, apart from the two opinions above, it is rarely mentioned that the presence of the Qur’an text on the theme of polygamy is a social response to the situation in pre- Islamic society, which tends to marry women in order to dominate. orphan properties. Abstract

The quality of education is measured through the quality of education services provided in schools. The quality is described through the mission and vision as well as the objectives of the learning programs proposed to the community as users of educational services provided by schools. In developing and improving the quality of education, the role of the principal is very important, because the principal makes the strategy so that the learning process in accordance with the learning objectives and targets can be achieved effectively and efficiently.The research was conducted at SMA AL-Muhajirin 2 Purwakarta which implemented a superior program based on pesantren, in developing and increasing students' knowledge of religious and world sciences. The study used descriptive qualitative methods to find real data, researchers conducted in-depth observations and interviews to find out the concept of the flagship program at SMA AL-Muhajirin 2 Purwakarta in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine to what extent the Problem-Based Learning method improved reading comprehension during the second year of MA Muhajirin As'adiyah Kampiri. This study employed a pre-experimental approach to attain its goal. The researcher employed a cluster random sampling technique with a sample of 24 students from classes XII-A. The pre-test and post-test were used to collect data. Problem-Based Learning was used to teach the experimental class. The data was analyzed using the education data analysis formula. The pre-test and post-test results revealed a considerable improvement. It was demonstrated by the fact that the mean score of the students' experimental post-test (77.9) was greater than the mean score of the students' pre-test (41.8), and the post-test T-test value was 0.02, which was less than (α) = 0.05. The treatment causes an improvement in kids' reading comprehension. Problem-Based Learning improves students' thinking skills and encourages them to use their abilities to read literature. So that students participating in Problem-Based Learning could easily understand the texts. As a result, it is concluded that implementing problem-based learning improves students' reading comprehension throughout their second year of MA Muhajirin As'adiyah Kampiri.

Abstract

Di SMPN 2 Lawe Sigalagala banyak dijumpai siswa yang tidak memiliki minat dalam mempelajari matematika, sehingga menimbulkan kebosanan dan keaktifan siswa dalam mempelajari matematika kurang. Oleh karena itu, guru yang mengajar bidang studi matematika hendaknya menggunakan metode yang tepat dalam mengajar dan menumbuhkan motivasi siswa. Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan pemberian reward adalah salah satu alternatif pembelajaran untuk menumbuhkan motivasi siswa dan membangun kepercayaan diri siswa. Penelitian ini mengangkat masalah apakah model pembelajaran TPS dengan pemberian reward dapat memberi hasil yang memuaskan bagi siswa? Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Lawe Sigalagala tentang bilangan bulat melalui model pembelajaran TPS dengan pemberian reward. Sampel yang dipilih adalah kelas VII-1 sebanyak 20 orang siswa. Materi yang diajarkan adalah bilangan bulat khususnya operasi bilangan bulat. Hasil pengolahan data didapat thitung = 2,95 dan ttabel dengan taraf signifikan dengan dk=19 diperoleh t(0,95)= 1,73 sehingga thitung > ttabel. Ini berarti t berada pada daerah penolakan H0 dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran TPS dengan pemberian reward dapat memberikan hasil memuaskan siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis wacana argumentasi dengan teknik respon terinci serta untuk mengetahui apakah teknik respon terinci efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis wacana argumentasi oleh siswa kelasa X SMA Swasta Budi Agung Medan Marelan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012-2013. Populasi seluruh siswa kelas X berjumlah 80 siswa, sampel penelitian yaitu kelas X-1 yang berjumlah 40 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara cluster atau cluster sampling. Instrument yang digunakan untuk menyaring data adalah tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen semu, dengan menggunakan uji “t” sebagai berikut: Dari pengolahan data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre tes = 66,37 Standar deviasi = 7,75, penyebaran nilai siswa terbanyak adalah 60 = 40%. Nilai rata-rata pos tes = 79,75, standar deviasi = 8,44, dan penyebaran nilai siswa terbanyak adalah 80 = 62,5%. Berdasarkan uji normalitas diperoleh hasil pre tes dan pos tes dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Kemudian, berdasarkan uji homogenitas dinyatakan bahwa sampel berasal dari yang homogen. Setelah uji normalitas dan uji homogen dilakukan, maka diketahui to sebesar. selanjutnya to tersebut dikonsultasikan dengan tabel t pada taraf signifikan 5% dengan df= N-1, yakni 40-1= 39. Dari df= 39 diperoleh taraf signifikan 5%= 2,021. dengan demikian thitung > t tabel , yakni 8,312>2,021, maka hipotesis nilai (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan teknik respons terinci berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis wacana argumentasi siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Budi Agung Medan Marelan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012-2013

Abstract

This research entitles the analysis of communicative translation at the opening speech of the KTT G-20 Bali Summit by President Jokowi: We must end the war”. The use of communicative language in translating text using the communicative translation method. Communicative language is used so that readers or listeners can take meaning from the contents of the text in accordance with the meaning that has been written by the author. This communicative language is always successful if it is used in the same language as the target language. However, it will be very much different. If the contents of the text use a different language. Then the translator must be able to translate the contents into the text in the target language. This is a little difficult to implement because translators still find it difficult to distinguish between free translation and communicative translation. Therefore, the translator must first analyze the text whether it is in accordance with the linguistic aspects or its content so that it can be accepted and understood by the reader. In this case, this research is based on the translation carried out in the speech of Opening Speech KTT G20 Bali Summit by President Jokowi: We Must End the War. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted to describe and find out what form of communicative language that used in speech text. It also aims to compare the meaning of the original speech text with the translated text, whether the meaning of the two texts remains the same or changes. In addition, it is a source for readers to know how to analyze communicative translation.

Abstract

Identification of Factors Causing Out-of-School Children in Railor Village, Central Malacca District, Malacca Regency". This study aims to: Identify the factors that cause children to drop out of school in Railor Village, Central Malacca District, Malacca Regency.The research method used is a qualitative approach and the type of research uses the case study method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and ducumentation. The results showed that the factors that caused children to drop out of school in Railor Village as follows: 1) causative factors originating from within the child himself. 2) factors that come from outside the child that cause the child to drop out of school. Based on the results of the study, the researcher gave the following suggestions: (1) The Malacca District Education Office seems to have to follow up more on the phenomenon of elementary school (SD), Junior High School (SMP), High School (SMA) students who drop out of school (2) For the parents concerned, it seems that they should pay more attention to the child (3) The Head of the RT / RW around the student's residence should be able to collect data on residents who have dropped out of school.
