Jurnal Gesture Seni Tari ini memuat tentang penulisan ilmiah dan penelitian seni tari tradisi dan tari non tradisi di Nusantara, hingga menyinggung persoalan-persoalan yang terkait dengan perkembangan pendidikan seni tari pada abad ini. Sebagai Jurnal Seni yang hadir ditengah-tengah lembaga Prodi Pendidikan Seni Tari; dalam hal ini jurnal gesture akan selalu konsisten untuk berupaya menampung segala bentuk karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan bidang (Pengajaran, Pengkajian, Penyajian, Penciptaan, dan Pengelolaan) di Pendidikan Tari FBS Unimed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study discusses the meaning of the text meudikee anggok seen from the concept bildung and sensus communis gadamer. Aims to describe the meaning of meudikee anggoktext of wisdom seen from the concept of bildung and sensus communis according to gadamer. Theories used are text theory and hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is a theory used to interpret. Seen from the concept of bildung is the form and sensus communis namely the true feeling and common good in society as the owner of the ritual.  The time of the research was conducted in july until the mont of september 2017. Place of research in infant village, sub district wide area of nort Aceh regency. Population of artists, public figures and children dzikir which amounted to 180. The research sample is a child dzikir 20 people. Leadershipand tengku amounted to 2 people and geuchik baby village so that the sample amounted to 23 people. Data collection techniques include observation, interview, literature study, documentation and then analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. Based on reasearch that has been done meaning meudikee text seen from the concept of bildung and sensus communis. On the concept of bildung in the form of motion, chanting dzikir and clothing. On the sensus communis concept of community agreement the meaning contained in the motion of whether to surrender, plead, salute, appreciate, sincere, passion, agree, protect, tought ad ask. The meaning contained in chanting dzikir is honor, glorify, pray, begged, apologize, sacrifice, struggle, love, loyalty, ask for blessings and hope. The meaning contained in clothing is clean, holy, strength, death, firmness, decency, cover of aurat. Where the text contained in the concept of the sensus communis can be seen from the deliberation in planning the implementation of activities that contain the meaning of cooperation, cohesivenees and respect. People work together to prepare meunasah and food to be brought to the meunasah. As for its meaning is sincare, give each other, mutual cooperation, happy, spirit and joy. Keyword : Meudikee Anggok, Village baby, Bildung, Sensus Communis.

Abstract

The research was filmed in the village of Sipispis sub-district of Serdang Bedagai Regency Sipispis. While the research was carried out in June 2013 to August 2013. The methods used in this study is the method deskriftif with qualitative data, collected through observation, interviews, literature studies and documentation. Based on the results of the study, found the results that a tortor in Simalungun wedding ceremony can be identified based on the movements of dance, the male and female dance called dalahi and daboru tortor. The community was very prominent tortor Simalungun, because tortor serves as a communication medium through movement. Dalahi and daboru in Tortor wedding ceremony Simalungun society has a symbolic meaning so profound, because dalahi and daboru tortor is derived from the results of the thinking of society, based on the Community Customs Simalungun Simalungun.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the achievement of student learning outcomes in the Tortor Sombah Simalungun material based on web based learning in the private Medan Eria Medan junior high school. This study uses theories related topic withresearchtopics suchas Web-BasedLearning Mediaby Herman Santoso, Application of E-Learning Media by Tugiyo Aminoto and Hairul Phatoni, and others. The research method used is quantitative methods techniques data collection is done by observation, literature study, and documentation. This type of research is pre-experimental one group pretest and posttest. The research sample consisted of 1 class, namely VII class of Eria Medan Private Junior High School. Class selection is done by random sampling. The instrument used in this study was aspects of teacher observation and student learning. The results showed that the Tortor Sombah dance learning Simalungun based on web based learning media experienced a very significant increase between the learning process using learning media web based learning with learning processes that did not use web based learning had a percentage of 26.12% . Score  of 12,664, while that is 0.683. So thitung> ttabel can be concluded that Hadit is accepted, that is there is an increase in the achievement of Tortor Sombah learning Simalungun before and after the Web Based Learning media is applied.Keywords: LearningTortorSombah Simalungun, Web Based Learning Media. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian hasil belajar siswa pada materi TortorSombah Simalungun berbasis web based learning di sekolah SMP Swasta Eria Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori-teori yang berhubungan dengan topik penelitian seperti Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Web oleh Herman Santoso, Penerapan Media E-Learning oleh Tugiyo Aminoto dan Hairul Phatoni, dan lainnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, studi kepustakaan, dan dokumentasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental one grub pretes dan postes.Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 1 kelas yaitu kelas VII SMP Swasta Eria Medan.Pemeilihan kelas dilakukan secara random sampling.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaiu aspek pengamatan guru dan belajar siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran tari TortorSombah Simalungun berbasis media web based learning mengalami peningkatan sangat signifikan antara proses pembelajaran yang menggunakan media pembelajaran web based learning dengan proses pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan web based learning memiliki persentase 26,12%. Nilai thiung yaitu sebesar 12,664, sedangkan ttabel yaitu sebesar 0,683.Maka thitung > ttabel dapat disimpulkan Ha diterima, yaitu terdapat adanya peningkatan pencapaian pembelajaran TortorSombah Simalungun sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan mediaWeb Based Learning. Kata Kunci : PembelajaranTortorSombah Simalungun, Media Web Based Learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine how the origins and the performance forms in Tortor Somboh Panisumbah in Simalungun society. The teoritical backgrounds used in this study are the theories related to topic of discussion, the method used in this experiment is a qualitatie descriptive method, the data are collected though both field observation and interviewing with some people. The sample in this study is artist, dancer, and people who understand about Tortor Sombah Panisumbah. The result of this study shows that Tortor Sombah Panisumbah is a usual ritual treatment performed by simalungun society. It’s usually done in Parsimangotan. This dance is performed by man in a certain move that has continuity between movement and music tempo, the costume worn by dancer is the traditional costume in Simalungun which is long black shirt, hiou clothes, gotong hat. The accompanying music is haro-haro, gual parahot, rambing-rambing, gual batara guruh simbolon . The traditional music instruments in Tortor Sombah Panisumbah are gondrang, ogung ,sarunei. There is no specific pattern on this dance , it’s based on the performance need.   Keyword: Tortor Sombah Panisumbah

Abstract

ABSTRACT - The problem in this study is about the NHT (Numbered Heads Together) Model and its Effect on the learning outcomes of grade X students on the Naposo Nauli Bulung Tortor material in SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in learning Dance by applying the NHT (Numbered Heads Together) learning model on the Naposo Nauli Tortor material based on KD 3.2, namely understanding the shape, type, and aesthetic value in a variety of traditional dance movements.The theory used in this research is Istarani theory (2017: 12), namely NHT (Numbered heads together) is a series of delivery of material using groups as a forum to unite students' perceptions/thoughts on questions raised or asked by the teacher, which will then be held responsible by students according with a teacher request number from each group. This type of research is a quasi experiment using the t test formula. The sample in this study consisted of one class determined by random sampling technique, namely class X MIA 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. The instrument used in this study was an objective test consisting of 20 multiple choice questions. Pretest results using conventional learning models obtained an average of 64,5, while the posttest results using the NHT (Numbered heads together) learning model obtained an average value of 80,16. These results indicate a significant increase in student learning outcomes through the implementation of the NHT (Numbered heads together) learning model tcount> ttable ie 41,21> 1,67. Thus the research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Keyword: Student learning outcomes, Tortor Naposo Nauli Bulung, NHT (Numbered heads together).   ABSTRAK - Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang Model NHT (Numbered Heads Together) dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas x pada materi Tortor Naposo Nauli Bulung di SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini  untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Seni Tari dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran NHT (Numbered Heads Together) pada materi Tortor Naposo Nauli berdasarkan KD 3.2 yaitu memahami bentuk, jenis, dan nilai estetis dalam ragam gerak tari tradisi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori Istarani (2017:12) yaitu NHT (Numbered heads together) merupakan rangkaian penyampaian materi dengan menggunakan kelompok sebagai wadah dalam menyatukan persepsi/ pikiran siswa terhadap pertanyaan yang dilontarkan atau diajukan guru, yang kemudian akan dipertanggungjawabkan oleh siswa sesuai dengan nomor permintaan guru dari masing-masing kelompok. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan mengggunakan rumus uji t. Sampel pada penelitian terdiri dari satu kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling yaitu kelas X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes objektif yang terdiri dari 20 soal pilihan berganda (multipel Choise).  Hasil pretest dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional diperoleh rata-rata 64,5, sedangkan hasil postest dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran NHT (Numbered heads together) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 80,16. Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapkan model pembelajaran NHT (Numbered heads together) thitung > ttabel yaitu 41,21 > 1,67. Dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian (Ha) diterima. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Siswa, Tortor Naposo Nauli Bulung, NHT (Numbered heads together).

Abstract

This study discusses, Structure mamuro community in Pakpak Bharat Pakpak. The population in this study isin the Village Peoples Pakpak Pardomuan District of Bharat Pakpak kingdom, artist, custom dean or figures,and dancers who know the neighbor dance tradition Pakpak especially Tatak MamuroTheoretical foundation used in this research is the theory of the structure of Martin and Pesover in the bookAnya Peterson Royce, judging from the shape and morphology of dance.Data analysis techniques used in this research is descriptive qualitative, are interpreted and formulated betweenthe data with each other data so that data is accurate and carefully, in accordance with the form of datacollected through interviews, observation, documentation and literature study.Based on the results of research conducted, then Mamoru There is a dance that illustrates how the fields thatrepel birds to be harvested rice is not eaten by birds. It is known that farming for society Pakpak is onelivelihood to survive. Mamuro Tatak structure has the form of four varieties (1) pulling the rope (kinarik tinali)(2) establish new rice bind (a new page ipencer italy) (3) hunting (merburu) (4) applause (applause). The musicused in Tatak Mamuro is Pantar Cross with the instruments used are: gung, kalondang, lobat, harp, andclothing dipake in Tatak Mamuro is customary fashion Pakpak Dairi and using catapults property. In thestructure of Tatak Mamuro there are three stages: The first stage is a salutation (njuah-juah), the second stageis the content that describes repel birds (Mamuro), and the third stage is as regards cover. Abstract

Abstract − This Research purposed to figure out the Performance of tortor Batak Toba as one of tourism package of Museum Huta Bolon Simanindo and its impact of increasing tourism visit tothe Museum. The method in this research uses descriptive qualitative method. The population are; the Department of Culture and Tourism Samosir, Museum Huta Bolon Simanindo officers, musicians, dancers, Public figures/Leader, community of Simanindo, and the tourists. The sample was part of the study population. The place of this research was taken in the Museum Huta Bolon Simanindo -Samosir regency. The data collection was done by observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Generally, it discusses the development of cultural tourism through the performances of tortor Batak Toba which is the potential resources of local communities as cultural attractions. Cultural attractions are expected to have contributed to the preservation of culture in local communities. Tortor performance is held on an open stage in the old village of Huta Bolon. Performanceis no longer sacred but still follow the traditional rules of adatni gondang, such as the number of gondang types, rules of how to ask certain gondang types, the rules of motion in tortor, apparel and equipment. Another packaging of forms of performance that is of short duration and dense, full of variety, imitation of the original forms, and effective cost. Travelers can enjoy the Batak Toba culture, such as music, dance, historical objects, and the feel of Batak Toba villages. Overall the show is divided into two sessions, the first are Tortor Lae-lae, Tortor Mula-mula, Tortor Mula Jadi, Tortor Mangaliat, Tortor Marsiolop-olopan, tortor tortor Si Boru Si Doli, and Tortor Pangurason. Performing the second session has been packed in line with its objectives, namely manortor together, Tortor Tunggal Panaluan, and Tortor Si Gale-gale.      Keywords: Tortor Batak Toba, Context Tourism

Abstract

Pada masyarakat Aceh Tamiang silat digunakan sebagai bagian dari kesenian dalam acara penyambutan, baik sebagai penyambutan tamu penting ataupun sebagai penyambutan pengantin pada upacara perkawinan. Silat tersebut dinamakan Silat Song-song. Silat Song-song berasal dari bahasa Aceh Tamiang yang berarti menyongsong, yaitu menyambut kedatangan tamu ataupun menyambut pengantin pria yang datang ke rumah pengantin wanita. Silat Song-song ini sudah berkembang sejak jaman Kerajaan Tamiang, awalnya Silat ini hanya digunakan dikalangan kerajaan Tamiang saja. Tradisi penyambutan pengantin yang menyertakan Silat Song-song sebagai salah satu tahapan acara adat perkawinan suku Aceh Tamiang, atau sebagai tari pembuka pada penyambutan tamu penting membuat Silat Song-song menjadi bagian yang sangat diperhatikan.   Kata Kunci : Silat Song-song, asal-usul, bentuk penyajian, makna simbolik

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the cooperative script strategy in pelipur lara dance learning (children's songs) in an effort to improve student learning outcomes in Padang Tualang N 1 High School. The author uses the quasi experimental design model design that is pretest-postest group design in the process. The research instrument used was objective tests in the form of multiple choices totaling 20 questions that had been tested item item validation. From the results of the study, the experimental class obtained an average pretest value of 31.40 and posttest was 80.93. While the value of the pretest average for the control class is 29.37 and the posttest average value is 71.87. Increasing student learning outcomes given learning with cooperative script strategy is 78% while increasing student learning outcomes are taught without using the Cooperative Script strategy that is 57%. Data obtained by t test analysis are (0.024 <0.05) and tcount> t table (2.308> 1.692), Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, namely learning outcomes using cooperative script strategies higher than student learning outcomes without using cooperative script.           . Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes objektif dalam bentuk pilihan berganda berjumlah 20 soal yang sudah diujii validasi butir item. Dari hasil penelitian, untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 31,40 dan posttest adalah 80,93. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pretest untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 29,37 dan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 71,87. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan strategi cooperative script yaitu 78% sedangkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan tanpa menggunakan strategi cooperative script yaitu 57%. Data yang diperoleh dengan analisis uji t yaitu (0,024<0,05) dan thitung > ttabel (2,308 > 1,692), Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yaitu hasil belajar dengan menggunakan strategi cooperative script lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang tanpa menggunakan cooperative script. Kata kunci: Strategi Cooperative Script, hasil belajar, pembelajaran tari Pelipur Lara (lagu Anak Kala)

Abstract

This study discusses about Tortor Namora Pule in Angkola Society in Padangsidimpuan which aims to determine the structure of the presentation and interaction symbols. To examine the research purposes above, the writer uses theories related to research topics, such as the understanding of Tortor, the ceremonial sense, the theory of symbolic interaction, the structural and systems theory. This research’s been done for two months started from early December to Februari, 2015. The research location takes place in Padangsidempuan, North Sumatera.The population in this study is two people from the City Art Institute of Indigenous Padangsidimpuan, two wedding couple who performed manortor, five musicians, and one indigenous elder.The data analysis in this study uses descriptive qualitative data collection techniques which are done by observation, library research, interviews, and documentation. The results denote that the structure of Tortor Namora Pule presentation consists of several stages such as: Towards Galanggang Panortoran, Taking position, Makkobar, Manortor, Manogu, Manjalang, back to Galanggang and Mardalan. Interaction symbols contained in Tortor Namora Pule are illustrated through kinship system contained within the overall existing Tortor on Horja Godang Haroan Boru.Kinship system Dalihan Na Tolu binds between overall Tortor against Tortor Namora Pule. That attachment generates the interaction Tortor Namora Pule to the overall Tortor and spectators.Symbol interaction is also visible on the symbol of somba adat motion meaning of worship, an interaction of symbols that have meaning as a form of homage to the King Namora Pule, parents and spectators. Symbols manartar and old mangido interpreted as giving and receiving between the groom with the bride.Face to face-floor pattern on both families showed close interaction to Namora Pule. Musical accompaniment used also shows interaction to Namora pule, parents, relatives and spectators.Poem contains about the history of life, advice, hope and prayer that poured into Onang-Onang poetry, poetry is always addressed to Namora Pule.
