Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Mengembangkan alat praktikum termodinamika berbasis problem based learning bagi peserta didik SMA/MA kelas XI 2) Mengetahui kualitas alat praktikum termodinamika berbasis problem based learning berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, ahli media, danpendidik fisika SMA/MA 3) Mengetahui respon peserta didik dan keterlaksanaan alat praktikumtermodinamika berbasis problem based learning bagi peserta didik SMA/MA kelas XI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dengan model prosedural yang mengadaptasi prosedur penelitian pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall yaitu (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) merencanakan penelitian, (3) pengembangan desain, (4) uji lapangan terbatas, (5) revisi hasil uji lapangan terbatas, (6) uji lapangan lebih luas, (7) revisi hasil uji lapangan lebih luas, (8) uji kelayakan, (9) revisi hasil uji kelayakan, dan (10) diseminasi dan implementasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan sampai pada tahap ke-7, yaitu revisi hasil uji lapangan lebih luas. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian kualitas alat praktikum termodinamika berbasis problem based learning untuk ahli materi, ahli media, dan pendidik Fisika SMA/MA menggunakan skala Likert yang dibuat dalam bentuk checklist. Instrumen untuk peserta didik berupa skala respon peserta didik menggunakan skala Likert yang dibuat dalam bentuk checklist. Instrumen keterlaksanaan alat praktikum berupa deskripsi keterlaksanaan alat praktikum saat dilakukan uji coba produk kepada peserta didik. Data hasil penilaian diubah menjadi rerata skor kemudian dibandingkan dengan tabel klasifikasi kriteria kualitatif penilaian produk dan respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian yang telah dikembangkan berupa alat praktikum termodinamika berbasis problem based learning bagi peserta didik SMA/MA kelas XI berdasarkan karakteristik Problem Based Learning. Kualitas alat praktikum termodinamika yang dikembangkan menurut penilaian ahli materi, ahli media, dan pendidik Fisika SMA/MA adalah sangat baik (SB). Respon peserta didik terhadap alat praktikum termodinamika pada uji coba produk adalah sangat setuju (SS), sedangkan hambatan pada keterlaksanaan alat praktikum yaitu pada kerjasama kelompok, percobaan hukum ke-0, rangkaian alat praktikum, dan waktu pengamatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa alat praktikum termodinamika yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran bagi peserta didik kelas XI SMA/MA.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology and almost all institutions have implemented information technology in the processing of data and information. Office of the minister of religion as government agencies committed to improving service to the community as well as providing actual information from the government in real-time. Therefore the use of information technology is needed to help employees do the work. The use of information technology in an institution due to several factors, such as social aspect, affect (feelings of people), complexity, long-term consequences, the suitability of the task and the conditions that facilitate the use of information technology. Based on these aspects, the research conducted to see the effect of the use of information technology to social factors, the complexity of the system and the conditions that facilitate the use of information technology on the religious ministries in the area of Yogyakarta Special Region.

Abstract

The importance of study motivation has encouraged many stakeholders to conduct evaluation on many issues related to study motivaton. This research was done to see how far evaluation of study motivation has been implemented. The result of this research is expected to be a guideline for the further study. Fifty-eight research papers which were available online used as references. The research found that most of the researchers used likert scale measurement for data collection; data collection used sampling method; most of the researches location are located in West Java province, and students were the main object of the research. There are 3 researches related to study motivation done in Riau Province. This research also revealed that less study done in vocational schools level and the measurement mostly done uncompletely as they have not accommodated all aspects related to motivation (e.g. the research object only limited to students).

Abstract

Online news media has an important role as a source of news and information for the public. In reading the news, the public wants to read the article as short as possible, but can obtain news core. Desire to obtain information quickly can be done by reading the summary of a story. One algorithm that can be used to summarize the content of the news in the online news media are TFIDF algorithm. The contents of the selected message will be read by using the Document Object Model library in the PHP programming language. The results of this research is a summary of the selected online news media are then read by the DOM library to take the news content. Furthermore, the news content will be summarized by using TFIDF algorithms.

Abstract

Cutting stock problem is the problem of cutting standard-sized pieces of stock material, such as vinyl rolls (synthetic leather) into pieces of specified sizes while minimizing material wasted. The study of cutting stock problem is expected to provide an alternative solution to publishing industrial. This study examines the cutting stock problem based on illustrative example of Quran Publisher using the integer programming. The problem is transformed into optimization model so that it can be solved using solver menu in Microsoft Excel. The results provide decision that meets the consumer demand and has a minimum waste of raw material that used for Al-Quran cover.

Abstract

Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) refers to the outflow of acidic water from metal mines or coal mines. AMD has high acidity, which has potency for conductor. The aim of this research was  to demonstrate the ability of acid mine water as an alternative conductor of electrical energy. The research revealed  that 500 ml AMD could supply 1,5 watt lamp for 30 days.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the effects of legin application, NPK(15;15:15) and urea fertilizer on peat soils on the shoot total N, P content and   nodule development of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five replications were used in this experiment. The first factor was three levels of Rhizobium inoculation (legin), i.e. L0 : without inoculation, L1: 5 g and L2 : 10 g/seed, respectively. The second factor was three levels of NPK fertilizer, i.e. N0 : without NPK, N1 : 0,75 g and N2 : 1,75 g/polybag, respectively. The third factor was three levels of urea fertilizer, i.e. U0  :without urea, U1  : 0,5 g and U2  : urea 1,5 g/polybag, respectively. Plants were grown on 500 g of sterile peat soils added by dolomite and harvested at six weeks after planting. The measured parameters including  effective nodule number and nodule dry weight, shoot total P content and shoot total N content. Collected data were analyzed by Analysis  of Variance (Anova), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5 % level of significant. The result of this experiment showed that legin, NPK and urea fertilizer application could increase effective nodule number, nodule dry weight, shoot total N content and shoot total P content. However, increased fertilizer concertation would decrease effective nodule number, nodule dry weight and shoot total N content but not shoot total P content. Lower NPK or urea fertilizer application was needed for early growth of soybean. NPK fertilizer application gave better growth than urea fertilizer.

Abstract

A study has been conducted to synthesize 1,4-bis [(2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-methanal- phenyl)-methyl] piperazin using vanillin as a starting material. It was of interest to investigate the activity of that compound, as an antioxidant with DPPH method. The synthesis was carried out through Mannich reaction using vanillin, formaldehida, and piperazin. The product was obtained as a white solid, melting point 245-2470C with a yield of 67.49%.Characterization of the product by IR and 1H  NMR  spectrophotometry, showed the formation of methylene bridge. This indicated that  the compounds synthesized was 1,4-bis [(2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-methanal-phenyl)-methyl] piperazin. The test of antioxidant activity with DPPH method showed  that  1,4-bis  [(2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-methanal- phenyl)-methyl] piperazin had antioxidant activity better than vanillin with IC50 values was 0.661 mM while vanillin was 3.158 mM.

Abstract

A parallel system must be developed with extra precision to achieve a high level of dependability to produce error-free software. Therefore, we need an appropriate and formal model of the system. The model is necessary for verification software in model checking. A model that is often used in model checking is Labelled Transition System (LTS). An LTS can be generated from Program Graphs (PG), which  are representations  of  programs  in  any  programming  language.  However,  in modeling a parallel system we need to describe the communications(model of interactivity) between the Program Graphs. For this purpose, we need and use Channel Systems (CS). Therefore, we often need to transform CS to LTS. The aim of this research is to developa transformation algorithm to generate an LTS from a given CS. Through the concept of parallelism, the algorithm is constructed by exploiting the so-called Structured Operational Semantic (SOS) of the CS. The transformation algorithm is implemented by developing a prototype tool designed with 3 essential components:input, process and output. Input is a text file that contains a model of a parallel system in the form of a CS. The model will be processed by using thetransformation algorithm that generates an LTS as output text file. Functionally, the algorithm can handle models of parallel systems written ina CS that consists of several PGs containing both looping and branching. Moreover, it has ability to satisfy various parallelism models such as interleaving, synchronous and asynchronous.

Abstract

This study aims to  develop the  module based Integrated science environment technology society (SETS), knowing the quality of modules according to matter experts, media specialists and science teachers SMP / MTs, as well as the response of students to the module. Integrated Science is the study or the development of Research and Development (R & D) procedural models, the model is descriptive, showing the steps to be followed to produce the product. The procedure follows the development of Borg and Gall procedures that can be done more simply by involving five major steps: 1) to analyze the product to be developed; 2) develop the initial product, 3) validation of the expert and revision, 4) small-scale field trials and revision of the product; 5) large- scale field trials and the final product. The results of the module-based Integrated Science (SETS) with the theme of biogas technology. Based on an assessment matter experts, media specialists and science teachers SMP/MTs module Integrated IPA has developed a very good quality with score of 87.69 of the ideal of matter experts, 76.78 of the ideal score of media expert, and 77.75 of the ideal score of teacher SMP/MTs. As for the students' responses on a small scale field trials and large-scale field trials get very good response with score of 78.75 of the ideal in small-scale field trials and 81.17 of the ideal score on a scale field trials great.
