Abstract

Economic activities that utilize the sophistication of information technology that helps make it easier for people to make buying and selling transactions. The use of electronic money as an alternative to non-cash payment instruments shows considerable potential to suppress the growth rate of cash use. This study aims to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using electronic money as a substitute for cash. The results of this study are that people like the advantages of electronic money, such as how to transact with electronic money which is known to be relatively easy, just by bringing the electronic money card closer to the reader or just by scanning the chip, people can make payment transactions. Meanwhile, the drawback is that it cannot be used in all places for financial transactions such as cash, because it can only be used at merchants who have collaborated with electronic money issuers and are usually widely available in big cities. Not guaranteed by deposit insurance institutions, and the safety factor.

Abstract

Technological developments have an impact on business development. Almost all business functions must make changes to anticipate them. This fact becomes a challenge for business practitioners and academics who study management science. A concrete example that shows the impact of technological advances on the business world is the development of VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol). In response to this, business transformation is an urgent thing to do. Advances in information technology have an impact on changing business organizations from a hierarchical business organization to a leaner business organization. The transformation of the HRM role has led to several new concepts in contemporary HRM practice. The repositioning of the HRM function is also an anticipation of changes in the global business environment. The repositioning of the HRM function from an academic point of view should trigger more comprehensive research in analyzing this process.

Abstract

Business activities using internet technology are an innovative way of conducting company activities. By utilizing internet technology, companies can conduct various business activities electronically such as business transactions, operational company functions, share information with consumers and suppliers to maintain relationships before, during and after the purchase process. Business people need effective marketing media with the aim of expanding their market share. Social media as a marketing tool is certainly related to marketing communications. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of social media as an online business marketing medium. This research is a qualitative research by conducting a literature study related to social media and online business promotion. The results of the study show that the use of social media makes it easier for business people with reduced costs. but with all the advantages, business people still have to have a preventive attitude when conducting business transactions.

Abstract

Students are a group in society that obtains its status because of its ties to a university. Higher education certainly produces students who are excellent and competent in their fields. And interest in entrepreneurship. Developed countries both from the economic and industrial sectors are indicated by the entrepreneurial growth index. This study aims to determine the effect of social support and extraversion personality on entrepreneurial interest. The research to be conducted is a quantitative research type. This type of research design uses an Explanatory Survey. This survey was conducted by taking samples from the total population and using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Furthermore, the methods used are descriptive and verification methods. The sample used in this study amounted to 100 respondents. The analysis carried out in this study used linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that social support and extraversion have an effect on interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Currently the whole world recognizes equal rights and obligations for every citizen, including gender issues. However, the reality shows that women are left behind or disadvantaged more than men, including in the fields of education, health, employment, mastery and utilization of science and technology. Although not all elements of society recognize the role of women in development, several regions have recognized the success of women. Not only in developed countries or big cities but also in small towns. This study aims to determine the role of women in community development. There is a group of women who are aware of the positive potential, and the detrimental factors for them in terms of gender. These adverse factors include trafficking in women, prostitution, marginalization of women, feeling of position as second-class citizens compared to men, and views about women playing less political or bureaucratic roles, and so on.

Abstract

Currently internet users are increasing. Starting from parents to teenagers use the internet. The use of the internet is not only carried out by the upper levels of society. All levels of society can now access the internet easily and at affordable prices. The development of the internet has created a new lifestyle for people. People choose to do all activities using the internet, including shopping. Nowadays people prefer online shopping instead of coming directly to the store. This lifestyle change has an impact on conventional traders. The existence of conventional traders is starting to be threatened in the midst of the rise of online traders. To anticipate this, conventional traders need to implement survival strategies that can maintain their business continuity. The strategy carried out is related to product, price, and location aspects. This competitive strategy is carried out in accordance with local conditions and current developments. Suggestions that can be given to conventional traders need to increase their social capital. Having strong social capital can create an advantage over online shopping. Product prices can also compete with online stores that are considered to have low prices. Without having to give more discounts, ordinary conventional traders compete.
