Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to reveal gender roles, gender relations, comparison of the visions of the two authors and relevance to literary learning in the novel Cantik Itu Luka by Eka Kurniawan and Novel God, Allow Me to Be a Prostitute by Muhidin M. Dahlan. The data sources in this study are the novel Cantik Itu Luka by Eka Kurnaiwan and the novel God. Let Me Be A Whore!. The data in this study are written data, namely words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that contain roles, gender relations, comparison of the visions of the two authors and relevance in learning literature in junior high school. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of documentation, reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique in this study includes five activity steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, data verification, discussion and drawing conclusions using radical feminism studies. The results in this study found (1) Gender roles in the public sector, domestic sector, and multiple roles. (2) Gender relations of women as subordinates, women as superordinates, women as coordinators. (3) Visions of Eka Kurniawan and Muhidin M. Dahlan. in looking at gender roles in the novel Cantik Itu Luka, there is still injustice in gender roles. There are only a few women involved in the public sector. Muhidin M. Dahlan's vision in the novel God, allow me to become a prostitute in view of the gender roles in female characters is just being a student. The vision of Eka Kurniawan and Muhidin M. Dahlan in looking at gender relations in the novel Cantik Itu Luka is found to be dominated by women as subordinates, although women are found as superordinates and coordinates. (4) Results of analysis of the novel Cantik Itu Luka by Eka Kurniawan and God's novel, Allow Me to Be a Prostitute! has the potential to be used as literature teaching material in class VIII junior high school in accordance with KD. 3.17 Exploring and finding information from reading fiction and non-fiction books and KD. 3.18 Examine the elements of fiction and non-fiction books that are read, taking into account aspects of language, psychology, and cultural background.Keywords: Gender roles, gender relations, vision, novels, and learning.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peran gender, relasi gender, perbandingan visi kedua pengarang dan relevansi terhadap pembelajarn sastra dalam novel Cantik Itu Luka Karya Eka Kurniawan dan Novel Tuhan, Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur Karya Muhidin M. Dahlan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Cantik Itu Luka karya Eka Kurnaiwan dan novel Tuhan. Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur!. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data tulis, yaitu kata, frasa, klausa, maupun kalimat yang memuat peran, relasi gender, perbandingan visi kedua pengarang serta relevansi dalam pembelajarn sastra di SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas dokumentasi, teknik baca, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini mencakup lima langkah kegiatan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data, diskusi dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan menggunakan kajian feminism radikal. Hasil dalam penelitian ini ditemukan (1) Peran gender sektor publik, sektor domestik, dan peran ganda. (2) Relasi gender perempuan sebagai subordinat, perempuan sebagai superordinat perempuan sebagai kordinat. (3) Visi Eka Kurniawan dan Muhidin M. Dahlan. dalam memandang peran gender pada novel Cantik Itu Luka, masih terdapat ketidakadilan dalam peran gender. Perempuan hanya ada beberapa terlibat dalam sektor publik. Visi Muhidin M. Dahlan pada novel Tuhan, izinkan Aku Menjadi pelacur dalam memandang peran gender pada tokoh perempuan hanya menjadi seorang mahasiswa. Visi Eka Kurniawan dan Muhidin M. Dahlan dalam memandang relasi gender pada novel Cantik Itu Luka ditemukan masih dominan perempuan sebagai subordinat, walaupun ditemukan perempuan sebagai superordinat dan koordinat. (4) Hasil analisis novel Cantik Itu Luka karya Eka Kurniawan dan novel Tuhan, Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur! berpotensi dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMP kelas VIII sesuai dengan KD. 3.17 Menggali dan menemukan informasi dari buku fiksi dan nonfiksi yang dibaca dan KD. 3.18 Menelaah unsur buku fiksi dan nonfiksi yang dibaca, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek bahasa, psikologi, dan latar belakang budaya.Kata Kunci: Peran gender, relasi gender, visi, novel, dan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk-bentuk sikap afek tokoh utama dalam novel Bidadari Berbisik Karya Asma Nadia didasarkan pada Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional (LSF). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk apprasial sikap afek tokoh utama yang ditemukan novel Bidadari Berbisik karya Asma Nadia terdapat 29 data sikap afek. Dari novel tersebut terdapat 4 bentuk afek yaitu, yaitu afek kecenderungan/ ketidakcenderungan, kebahagiaan/ ketidakbahagiaan, keamanan/ ketidakamanan, dan kepuasan/ ketidakpuasan. Bentuk apprasial sikap penghakiman tokoh utama yang ditemukan novel Bidadari Berbisik karya Asma Nadia terdapat 27 data sikap penghakiman. Dari novel tersebut terdapat dua kategori yaitu penghargaan sosial  (normalitas, kapasitas dan tensitas) dan sanksi sosial (verasitas/kemungkinan dan proprietas/etika). Bentuk apprasial sikap apresiasi tokoh utama yang ditemukan novel Bidadari Berbisik karya Asma Nadia terdapat 15 data sikap apresiasi. Dari novel tersebut terdapat 3 kategori yaitu apresiasi reaksi  (dampak dan kualitas), apresiasi komposisi (keseimbangan dan kompleksitas), dan apresiasi valuasi.Kata kunci: Afek, Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional (LSF), dan Novel Bidadari Berbisik

Abstract

Science is something commonly used worldwide and especially in the field of education. Suitable with teaching methods, science will be transferred to the students by the teachers. The need for better results on the educational system and educational evaluation in Indonesia requires a good quality of the educators of course in this phenomenon is the teachers. The professional teacher's personality is a combination of who the teacher is and the teachers are as educators. It means that teachers' capabilities and mindsets will affect the transfer of science to the students. The priority of this target is to get information about the value of English teachers in the Islamic Elementary School of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pekanbaru (n=6), which teaches at five schools in Pekanbaru. The questionnaire and observation were given by representing the profile of the teachers, including educator requirements, teachers’ competence, professional graduation, and the teachers’ attitude. And how well the English teachers have the component to transfer knowledge and guide the students to learn English, as we know well that English is a communication language. This survey aims to determine how teachers meet the standards set out in UU No. 14 of 2005 for the Teaching Profession.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Prokem. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan sifat penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang memuat bentuk-bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa Prokem dalam media sosial. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah takarir unggahan foto dan video akun instagram dari @lyodraoficial, @husein_hadar, @laporpak_trans7, @kokbisa, dan @lambeh_turah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik baca, dokumentasi dan catat. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Teknik analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1); terdapat bentuk-bentuk alih kode bahasa prokem intren dan ekstren; (2) terdapat bentuk-bentuk campur kode bahasa Prokem ke dalam, ke luar, dan campuran.Kata Kunci: Alih kode, campur kode, dan bahasa Prokem

Abstract

This research aimed to; (1) Revealing the ability to read poetry by applying Gordon model; (2) Revealing the ability to read poetry by applying the Moody model; and (3) Revealing whether learning to read poetry through the applying of the Gordon model is more effective than the Moody model. This research used a quasi-experimental design. The instrument was an assessment rubric. The results were; (l) The ability of students to read poetry by applying the Gordon model is in the fairly skilled category with an average score of 62.50; (2) The ability of students to read poetry by applying the Moody model is in the fairly skilled category with an average score of 64.25; and (3) The data analysis showed that, values are obtained sig. (2 tailed) of 0.431 > 0.05 then H0 is accepted and HA is rejected. It can be concluded that the application of the Gordon model is not more effective than the Moody model. Thus, both models are equally effective in learning to read poetry at class VIII junior high school students of COBIG ISLAMIC SCHOOL Makassar.

Abstract

This study reports needs analysis results. It aims to analyze students' needs in an effort of developing the learning strategies of direct corrective feedback in an EFL Writing class context. The initial step is to investigate the needs of students in receiving feedback as well as teacher educators' strategies in providing feedback. 39 students and 3 teacher educators are involved in this study. They are from two private universities. The questionnaire, as the main instrument, is in a form of closed-ended for students and closed along with the open questionnaire for teacher educators. The result of the analysis indicates that feedback plays an important role in overcoming students' problems in writing. It reflects that students thoroughly need feedback, either in oral corrective feedback or written corrective feedback. Thus, it concludes that the need for effective feedback must be balanced by the students' efforts to respond to it as a form of the learning process. Both direct and indirect feedback is helpful for students either in oral or written form.
