Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out which is more dominant language used by the English lecturers in learning process at English Department of FKIP UKI Toraja interactional or transactional, and in what situation interactional and transactional language used by the English lecturers in learning process at English department of FKIP UKI Toraja. Descriptive qualitative and quantitative design is applied in this reserch to analyze the data. The data was analyzed was script from the result of recording video in learning process at English Department of FKIP UKI Toraja.The data was analized based on every utterance of lecturer in learning process. The writer used snow ball method in choosing sample of this research. The writer only took 5 lecturer as sample from the total population was 21 lecturers.From the data analysis, the writer found that transactional language more dominant used by the English lecturers in learning process. The result of this research shows that most of the lecturers used Transactional language in learning process then interactional. There are 1.194 utterances of transactional language used by the lecturers in learning process from the total number of utterances is 1.329. transactional language used in situation like greets student at begining of the class, explain topic, answer and giving question and when lecturer gives example for the students. After conducting this study, it is expected to give valuable contribution to the all lecturers in learning process and can be more variatif in using language. This research also is expected as additional knowledge and information for the all people specially to the students that interested in conducting similar study. The writer do hope as language user : reader, writer, and whoever that want to study more about interactional and transactional language can be more improved.

Abstract

In the process of acquiring the language, learners slowly fix the mistakes bounding for gaining more stable skill in speaking the language. Every language learner does realize that being able to speak in that language is the ultimate aim of learning that language. They also realize that in gaining the aim, they have to learn many things including grammar.In Indonesia, teaching English as a foreign language is felt difficult without teaching the students its grammar. The difficulty to learn English without learning grammar appears because it is very difficult to find a total immersion situation where everybody who is involved in speaks English. This research is descriptive which analyzes recording data. The population of this research is the fourth semester students of English department UKI Toraja which consists of 280 students divided into 8 classes. This research showed most of the errors that the students make are about the use of preposition in. At and of are other prepositions that are inappropriately used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, yang bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui: (1) gambaran hasil belajar matematika siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent yang diajar model Project Based Learning (2) gambaran hasil belajar matematika siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran project based learning (3) peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent yang diajar model Project Based Learning (4) peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran project based learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Rantepao dengan menggunakan desain One group Pretest posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VII SMPN 1 Rantepao dan sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIIb yang dipilih secara Cluster Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes dan non tes. Data tentang gaya kognitif dikumpulkan dengan tes GEFT sedangkan data hasil belajar dikumpulkan dengan tes hasil belajar. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk melihat gambaran hasil belajar siswa field independent dan field dependent yang diajar model Project Based Learning serta bagaimana peningkatan hasil belajarnya.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah: “Apakah dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Question Student Have dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV mata pelajaran IPA pada materi sumber daya alam, lingkungan dan teknologi? Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 139 Tampapute sebanyak 30orang siswa yang terdiri dari 20 orang laki-laki dan 10 orang perempuan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi guru dan lembar observasi siswa. Instrumen ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran langsung tentang aktivitas belajar, dan wawancara untuk mengetahui bahwa melalaui penerapan metode pembelajaran Question Student Have siswa merasa senang dan bersemangat dalam belajar, serta tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan KKM 70. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I mencapai tingkat ketuntasan 30 % dengan kategori sangat kurang dan nilai siswa pada siklus II meningkat dengan tingkat ketuntasan 86,66% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran Question Student Have dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada siswa kelas IV SDN 139 Tampapute.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Survey yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi standar proses (perencanaa, pelaksanaan dan penilaian)terhadap hasil belajar fissika,yang diperkuat oleh data observasi dan wawancara pada saat dilaksanakan penelitian. subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru mata pelajaran fisika pada SMA se-Kabupaten Toraja Utara.Fokus penelitiannya adalah perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, penilaian pembelajaran dan hasil belajar fisika . Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 12 guru yang berada pada kategori amat baik karena skor perolehan indikator kinerja guru terletak pada interval 75% > P ? 100%, dan 5 guru yang berada pada kategori baik karena skor perolehan indikator kinerja guru terletak pada interval 50% > P ? 75 %. Untuk aspek pelaksanaan pembelajaran terdapat 5 guru yang berada pada kategori amat baik dan 12 guru berada pada kategori baik. Untuk aspek penilaian kegiatan pembelajaran terdapat 16 guru berada pada kategori amat baik dan 1 guru berada pada kategori baik.

Abstract

This study aims to compared the biology learning results among students who used PQ4R (Preview,Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) and students who used concept map learning strategy at the concept of Virus. The type of this study was quasi-experimental with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The learning strategy was the independent variable, which the first experimental class used PQ4R learning strategy and the second experimental class used concept map learning strategy. Learning results was the dependent variable which techniques of data collection was done by using learning result test. The learning result analyzed by used t-test (? = 5%). The result calculations showed signification figure of 0,006 (p< ?). It was concluded that there are difference of the learning result among student who used PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite Review) learning strategy and students who used concept map learning strategy. The average value of students at the first class experiment who used PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite Review) learning strategy was 69,74 and average value of the second class experiment who used Concept Mapp learning strategy was 73,20. It was concluded that concept mapp learning strategy better than PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite Review) learning strategy.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to find out the influence of mother tongue (Torajan Language) toward pronunciation of English by the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Rantepao.In analyzing the data of this reserach, the reseacrher employed qualitative method. The subjects of this research were the students of the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Rantepao. The data of this research were collected by making voice recording, observation and interview. The obtained data were analyzed in three major phases, namely reduction, data display and conclusion. The result of the research revealed some facts of the influence of mother tongue (Torajan language) toward pronunciation of English by the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Rantepao. First, the influence of mother tongue (Torajan language) of the sound /e/ that pronounced by the CIBI students. Such as, the pronunciation of letter “a” become /e/, the pronunciation of letter “i” become /e/, the pronunciation of letter “d” become /de/, the pronunciation of letter “ia” become /e/, the pronunciation of letter “io” become /e/, the pronunciation of letter “au” become /e/, the pronunciation of letter “ou” become /e/ and the pronunciation of letter “e” become /e/. Second, the types of the influence of mother tongue (Torajan language) that students pronounced by the eleventh garade students of SMAN 1 Rantepao (CIBI class) is the sound /r/follow the language style of Torajan people. Therefore, based on the research, the researcher conclude that there is influence of mother tongue (Torajan language) toward pronunciation of English by the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Rantepao in pronouncing the sound /e/ and /r/.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengutamakan keaaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan ciri utamanya adanya penomoran sehingga semua siswa berusaha untuk memahami setiap materi yang diajarkan dan siswa bertanggungjawab atas nomor anggotanya masing-masing . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : (1) untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT); (2) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Mengkendek. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Mengkendek. Sampel penelitian terpilih secara Clauster Random Sampling yang terdiri dari kelas VIIIa yang berjumlah 26 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen yakni yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dan kelas VIIIc yang berjumlah 22 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol yakni yang diajar tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) yang dilakukan selama 4 kali pertemuan tergolong terlaksana dengan baik dengan skor rata-rata 3.89. Model pembelajaran mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dilihat dari nilai rata-rata post-test siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) adalah 78,47 lebih tinggi dari pada post-test siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) yaitu 59,82. Sehingga kesimpulannya “ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Mengkendek.”

Abstract

Penelitian ini pada dasarnya bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) minat siswa terhadap metode mengajar yang digunakan guru pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sesean, (2) motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI SMU Negeri 1 Sesean, (3) apakah ada pengaruh minat siswa terhadap metode mengajar yang digunakan guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMU Negeri 1 Sesean. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas XI SMU Negeri 1 Sesean yang berjumlah 159 orang. Sedangkan jumlah sampel yang dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 50 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah dengan teknik random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) minat terhadap metode mengajar yang digunakan guru adalah tinggi. Skor rata-rata 44,8000 dari skor tertinggi yang mungkin dicapai 56 serta simpangan baku 4,36529, (2) Motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri Sesean tergolong sedang. Skor rata-rata motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas I adalah sekitar 36,8600 dari skor tertinggi yang mungkin dicapai 52 serta simpangan baku 6,35035 (3) ada hubungan minat siswa terhadap metode yang digunakan dengan motivasi belajar matematika pada siswa kelas XI SMU Negeri 1 Sesean, dengan indeks determinasi 0,280, yang berarti ada sekitar 28 % variansi motivasi belajar matematika bisa dipengaruhi oleh minat siswa terhadap metode mengajar yang digunakan guru.

Abstract

Education without paper is a popular issue today. The world was hit by the global warming due to the amount of deforestation everywhere. We all know that wood is the raw material of paper. With advances in information technology today allows a learning without paper. Some technologies LMS (Learning Management System) currently allows us to conduct distance learning. Attendance in the class will not be needed anymore. Moodle is an LMS that helps teachers and students to study without having to meet physically. Google Classroom is a product developed by Google to help education through the web. In this paper we will explains the effects and benefits of google classroom. it has several advantages such as shortening the distance and time for teachers and students. It has a positive effect on the attitude and spirit of students
