Abstract

The Ahmad Yani road section is part of the main road in the city of Pekanbaru where the activity on this road is quite high. This road section is a transportation route that is used by the community if you want to go to the commercial area on the Ahmad Yani road, namely the Santa Maria Elementary School, Santa Maria Hospital, and Kodim Market and the area of tutoring centers. Thus, the traffic flow on this road is often delayed because the volume of vehicles passing through this road is quite dense, so that it can slow down and cause conflict from other vehicles coming out into the commercial area on this road.To anticipate the influence of large enough traffic on the transportation network around this road, it is necessary to conduct a traffic impact analysis (traffic impact analysis). Based on the data of vehicles entering and leaving the 4 commercial areas through Ahmad Yani Street, based on the survey results, it was found out through data volume. Based on Ahmad Yani's geomteric condition, the entrance to the commercial area is still feasible through the Ahmad Yani road section. But for the study and market library area. The need for parking arrangements and availability of parking lots. So that the vehicle does not park on the body Ahmad Ahmad's road. As well as the need for an exit arrangement for the Santa Maria school area through the Ramayana road. Likewise with the Santa Maria Hospital area, the entrance can still be done through Ahmad Yani Street, but for the exit of the vehicle, it is hoped that you can pass the road behind the hospital, which is the Papaya Road. That way the conflict of vehicles coming out of the hospital can be reduced on the Ahmad Yani road.

Abstract

The purpose of designing a lecture chair with additional functions is to provide comfort to students while wearing a lecture chair for a long time, ease in meeting the needs of the students. The lecture chairs are designed to suit the needs of the students, such as comfortable seating, board supplies for writing, bags and there is also a drinking area on the left. as well as for students to not bother holding their bags while writing and listening to lecturers teaching. The technique used in alternative development is through brainstorm. The use of this technique by collecting some input obtained from the students who had sat in the lecture chairs in the Department of Industrial Engineering Faculty of Engineering University of Quality. From the input obtained through brainstorming made a morphological map that is useful to choose the best alternative in designing a versatile lecture product.

Abstract

Concrete test materials received in the field were treated and tested at the age of 28 (twenty eight) days, regulated in the Indonesian National Standard for concrete with the standard number SNI 2847: 2013. In addition, the equally important standard to be observed in concrete testing, especially in construction, is the observation of the shape of the collapse of the test object, which was written in the SNI 1974: 2011 concrete regulation. This collapse model needs to be considered because it can pay attention to the possibility of errors in testing. The test object used in this study was formed using Self Compacting Concrete type concrete. This type of concrete is an innovative concrete that does not require vibration for compaction. Because this concrete can flow by itself and actually fill the formwork until it reaches full compaction. These concrete collapse models must be considered because they are very interesting to see. Researchers conducted experiments on concrete collapse models made using several variations of concrete mixtures, ranging from variations in water content (standard, -5%, -10%, + 5%, + 10%), height variation of the test object (15 cm , 12.5 cm, 10 cm, 8.5 cm, 7.5 cm), and variation in age of the plan. From the research conducted by researchers, the number of specimens carried out shows the pattern of collapse of the crack model parallel to the upright axis, then there is the model of cone and shear failure and the least is the cone and split failure model.

Abstract

The research has been conducted on the use of candlenut shells and coconut shells as composite materials in the manufacture of brake pads. The design of friction composite formulations is carried out based on four classes of friction material namely fillers, binders, reinforcing fibers and property modifiers with a fixed percentage based on weight. Comparison of the composition of Candlenut shell powder and coconut shell for each sample S-01 (35: 25) wt .-%, S-02 (30: 20) wt .-%, and S-03 (25: 15) wt. -%. From the results of data analysis, the values of water absorption for each sample were S-01 (0.00706%), S-02 (0.000496%), S-03 (0.00584%). The lowest wear test was found in the S-03 sample of 3.67 x 10-5 g / mm2.s. The SEM-EDS test results show the distribution of particles in different friction materials for each sample and show that carbon is present in approximately equal amounts in all formulations. The predominance of the presence of metals in brake linings includes: iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), carbon (C), and aluminum (Al), silicon (Si), potassium (K)

Abstract

The Settlement Area in Kampung Aur is a densely populated settlement located on the banks of the Deli River in Medan. Until now there has not been a more appropriate solution to the arrangement of the area and its residents although there are in several cities there have been several types of solutions to the problem of densely populated settlements ranging from forced evictions, the construction of new settlements in the form of flat / flat and village improvement programs. That said, the government began to realize that the problem could not be solved by a one-way system. There must be communication with slum dwellers. This then encourages the authors to make an arrangement of the area and its residents with an approach to the behavior of citizens and the types of settlements at this time. This study aims to produce a design of the area and settlements that can accommodate social and cultural aspects of society through the approach of environmental behavior and types of settlements. To achieve this goal, participatory observation will be carried out in every dominant community in the location. Through this observation it will be seen how the environmental settings and behavior work in Kampung Aur. Data on environmental and behavioral settings will then be processed to produce Kampung Aur design completion criteria. From this study it was found that there are two dominant tribes in Kampung Aur, namely Chinese and Minang.

Abstract

Balikpapan City one of the developed cities in Indonesia. This condition causes problems such as flooding. Aspects relating to flooding in cities are watersheds. The study site is located in the Klandasan Kecil River Basin. Factors causing flooding in the watershed include land cover conditions that can only absorb runoff by 26.90% so that it affects the amount of runoff that occurs. Another factor is the inadequate river conditions that are unable to drain runoff discharge in the watershed. Based on the existing problems, an evaluation of the performance of the Klandasan Kecil River Basin drainage system is carried out. The evaluation was carried out by conducting a hydrological analysis on the klandasan kecil watershed and hydraulics analysis of the primary river, klandasan kecil river using the Hecras application. The results of the analysis obtained the magnitude of hydrological discharge in the Klandasan kecil watershed that is equal to 53.044 m3/s. The existing river capacity that has been analyzed using the HECRAS application on klandasan kecil river there are 10 river points whose capacity does not meet so that flooding. The height of the flood that occurred varied from 0.30 meters to 4.42 meters above the river.

Abstract

The kanban system is an information system that harmoniously controls the production of the required product in the required quantity at the time required in each manufacturing process and also between companies. CV X is a small-scale industry that produces assembled products. In this study, the focus is on the process of making earbuds which consists of three work centers, namely the activities of making Power Supply, installing Speaker Kits and Installing Speakers. This product is the product that is the most in order, demand over thousands for a month. The purpose of this research is to provide information on picking and transport, providing production information, preventing overproduction or overloading, acting as orders that are attached directly to components, preventing defective products by recognizing processes that create defects and disclosing existing problems and maintaining stock control. Based on the calculation, the number of kanban cards needed by work center I is 1,439, work center II is 1,165, work center III is 1,189, so the total required kanban card is 3,793 pieces

Abstract

Bentonit banyak tersedia dan jumlahnya berlimpah di alam sehingga dapat menjadi adsorben berbiaya rendah untuk pengolahan  air limbah. Kemampuan bentonit dapat ditingkatkan dengan proses pilarisasi dan kalsinasi. Interkalasi polikation dan kalsinasi menghasilkan lapisan bentonit yang stabil dan konstan pada suhu tinggi. Salah satu polikation yang dapat digunakan ialah Titanium Dioxide (TiO2). Kitosan banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai adsorben, hal ini dikarenakan kitosan memiliki gugus amina dan hidroksil, yang menyebabkan kitosan memiliki reaktifitas kimia yang tinggi dan menyebabkan sifat polielektrolit kation sehingga berperan sebagai penukar ion. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui senyawa dan gugus fungsi nanokomposit bentonit dan titanium dioksida serta kitosan dengan karakterisasi menggunakan FTIR. Hasil FTIR menunjukan adanya puncak-puncak serapan yang mengindikasi terjadinya ikatan senyawa dan gugus fungsi nanokomposit bentonit dan kitosan serta titanium Dioksida.

Abstract

Along with the increasingly rapid development of science and technology, this will encourage every manufacturer or industry to develop its invention technology, for example, in the field of Automotive Technology which is experiencing a fairly rapid development. To get to the above, of course, an additional device is needed, one of which is by using a turbocharger. The turbocharger is a mechanism for supplying air with a density that exceeds the density of atmospheric air into the cylinder to be pressed in the compression stroke so that the motor power will increase. To get the effect of using a turbocharger, it can be done by conducting direct testing of the Yanmar Model 495-T 4 cylinder 350 PS engine with a variable rotation of 1300 rpm, 1700 rpm, 2100 rpm, 2500 rpm, 2900 rpm, and recording changes in the load on the dynamometer, internal temperature. space, radiator water temperature, lubricant pressure, air pressure coming out of the compressor, fuel consumption time per 50 cc. So that the results of the test show that the specific fuel consumption is 106 gr / hp-hr, while for a diesel motorbike without a turbocharger the specific material consumption is 126 gr / hp-hr, therefore the specific fuel consumption of a diesel motorbike using a turbocharger decreases by 15.87%. and the average effective pressure increases at the effective power (Ne) which is 152 hp, while for a diesel motorbike without a Turbocharger the effective power (Ne) produced is 110 hp so that the percentage increase in power obtained is 42%.

Abstract

Research on the effect of adding to the strength polypropylene plastic material mix Asphalt Concrete Wearing Coarse. Before the making of the specimen, do Design and mixed (mix design) that includes planning, determination and measurement of asphalt composition of each fraction better each aggregate asphalt, polypropylene and filler. After the job mix, made with a sample weight of 1200 g, and by varying the composition of polypropylene 2%, 3%, and 5% of the aggregate weight of stone dust. Methods of testing is done by using the Marshall test ie based on the results of Stability, Flow and Marshal Quontent. The results showed that the value of stability, flow and Marshal Quontent has met the specifications of Highways 2010 Revision 3
