Abstract

Abstract: Learning Design of Speaking English Using Learning Approach Based Strategy. This research is aimed to develop learning Ddesign of speaking English using learning approach based strategy for students majoring in English Language and Literature of Jakarta State University. The focus of this research was on learning design which is appropriate for students’ need. The chosen approach is a learning based strategy appropriate for the independent learning concept. This approach was intrinsic since it developed students’ inner ability which stands longer than other stimuli technique and approach. This research was a first step from developing research of speaking english learning design. This research started from July 2010 to December 2010 in Jakarta State University. The source was students and lecturers of speaking class. Data was taken through test, observation, interview, quesioner, and document analysis. The result showed that learning design of speaking English using learning approach based strategy will be examined through trial for the next step of research.
