Abstract

Air merupakan sumber kehidupan yang harus ada pada kehidupan manusia Krisis ketersediaan air yang banyak melanda diakibatkan bencana kekeringan dari musim kemarau. Kekeringan diartikan salah satu bencana yang terjadi secara perlahan-lahan akibat perubahan pola cuaca yang berlangsung lama. Suatu Desa yang terletak di Kabupaten Kediri yakni Desa Butuh mengalami bencana kekeringan. Upaya yang harus dilakukan dapat membantu mengurangi dampak akibat dari bencana perubahan iklim yang ekstrim. Jadi, artikel ini dipergunakan untuk menambah wawasan dalam upaya dan solusi yang dapat dilaksanakan. Responden dalam penelitian sebanyak enam belas responden dengan sepuluh orang responden yang mengalami musim kemarau, lima orang mendatangi rumah masing-masing untuk observasi. Hasil analisis yang penulis lakukan melalui wawancara menghasilkan suatu proses yang dilakukan masyarakat dengan pengeboran sumur serta lima orang yang menggunakan sumur timba. Tetapi, jika pengeboran sumur dengan cara membuat kedalaman lubang tanah terus berlanjut dapat mempunyai dampak yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Sehingga, penulis memberikan solusi yang lain dengan cara pembuatan biopori di setiap rumah. Kata kunci: Air, Kekeringan, Pengeboran Sumur

Abstract

Air tanah memiliki peran yang sangat penting karena menjadi sumber utama untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pokok orang banyak. Air tanah dalam siklus hidrologi melibatkan beberapa aspek yang mempengaruhi ketersediaan air tanah di suatu daerah. Pada, kondisi sekarang masalah yang paling utama adalah sumber daya air. Beberapa kegiatan berdampak negatif terhadap penurunan kualitas air yang berasal dari kegiatan industri, domestik dan kegiatan lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalalah untuk menganalisis kualitas air tanah di kecamatan Kubu Babussalam, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, Provinsi Riau yang ditinjau dari parameter kadar TDS, Ion Sulfat dan Ion Nitrat. Proses pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil uji yang dilakukan terhadap kandungan TDS, Ion sulfat dan ion nitrat berada dibawah ambang batas baku mutu yang ditetapkan oleh Peraturan Menteri kesehatan No: 416/MEN.KES/PER/IX/1990.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to: (1) analyze the level of alignment between curriculum and science-chemistry learning in Junior High School and (2) describe the discrepancies between curriculum and science-chemistry learning in Junior High School in term of cognitive demands as well as subject content covered. This study was descriptive research which combined survey method and content analysis. The survey was conducted on 25 Junior High School science teacher in Bandung. Content analysis conducted on curriculum science-chemistry document. To determine the degree of alignment criteria, this study used the method developed by Porter. The results showed that alignment index between chemistry content on TIMSS and science-chemistry learning in Junior High School was 0.572 (middle level). This imperfect of alignment is characterized by the discrepancies in term of subject content covered and cognitive demands. This can affect certainly toward the achievement of students and quality of education in Indonesia. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk: (1) menganalisis keselarasan antara kurikulum dan pembelajaran IPA-Kimia SMP, dan (2) mendeskripsikan perbedaan cakupan materi dan tuntutan kemampuan kognitif antara kurikulum dan Pembelajaran IPA-Kimia SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggabungkan metode survei dan analisis konten. Survei dilakukan terhadap 25 orang guru IPA SMP di kota Bandung. Penentuan subjek penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik stratified sampling. Analisis konten dilakukan terhadap kurikulum IPA-Kimia SMP. Untuk menentukan kriteria tingkat keselarasan, metode yang digunakan adalah metode yang dikembangkan oleh Porter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indeks keselarasan antara kurikulum dengan pembelajaran IPA-Kimia SMP sebesar 0,572 (tingkat sedang). ketidaksempurnaan tingkat keselarasan ini ditandai dengan adanya perbedaan cakupan materi dan tuntutan kemampuan kognitif. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to implement macromedia flash animation in improving student learning outcomes on the topic of buffer solutions. This research was conducted in the first semester of the basic chemistry course with the topic of buffer solution. The samples in this study were first semester students at the University of Riau divided in 2 classes. This study is quasi-experimental, by making treatment in the experimental class (animation class) by comparing with the control group. The hypotheses tested in this study are: Ha = There are differences in the level of learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class and H0 = There is no difference in the level of learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. Hypothesis testing is done by the independent sample T-Test on SPSS 22 with a significance level of 0.05 which used gain score. Based on the results and discussion it can be concluded that the experimental class has an increase in learning outcomes by 57%, while the increase in student learning outcomes in the control class is only 39%, which is about 2/3 of the increase in learning outcomes of the experimental class. Based on the results of the hypothesis test it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, namely there are differences in the level of learning outcomes of experimental class and control class where significance is equal to sig = 0.000, this value is smaller than the significance level of 0.05. Abstract

Heavy metal is the most hazardous of contaminats group. Our ecosystem has been contaminated by high concentrated of heavy metal that was generated from human activities such as industrial. On this research heavy metal content due to illegal gold mining (PETI) activities in Singingi river, Riau was measured. This was held because the river has degradation of its quality immediately. It was marked by high turbidity and declining of organism in that river. The choice of determining the content of heavy metal Pb or lead because we know that gold processing is not only used by mercury but also used by lead and cadmium to bind gold. The three metals are used to bind the gold and separate it from soil and stone in from sulfide.. This research used survey method with purposive sampling based on the rise location of PETI activities. Sample was measured at 4 point that started from the nearest and up to the furthest of PETI activities. The result of lead measurement was 0, 00382 mg/L; 0,00165 mg/L; 0,00124 mg/L and 0,02525 mg/L, respectively. The results obtained indicate that the river has been contaminated with lead metal although if were compared with the quality standard of heavy metal in aquatic Lead still allowed with the number of quality standard for lead is 0,03 mg/L. Abstract

Water quality can be determined by doing certain test. Common parameter for determination water quality was physical, chemical, and biological parameter. This research was determined physical parameter, such as water colour, temperature, and TDS. Water colour determination was using eyesight sense while for temperature and TDS using a tool, thermometer for temperature determination and TDS-meter for TDS determination. Samples were taken from 5 Kelurahan in Dumai Timur District, that is Kelurahan Bukit Batrem, Kelurahan Buluh Kasap, Kelurahan Jaya Mukti, Kelurahan Tanjung Palas, and Kelurahan Teluk Binjai. Samples was taken from citizen wells which was selected in random as many as 2 samples for each Kelurahan. Water quality from samples was measured based on Regulation of Minister for Public Health No:416/MEN.KES/PER/IX/1990. Result of this research showed that all of water sample from Dumai Timur District were improper in physical parameter because of the water were turbid.

Abstract

Cananga (Cananga odorata) is a tree or shrub that can be used to produce essential oils. In this study a qualitative test was conducted to study the content of secondary metabolites in cananga flowers. Based on research results cananga flowers contain flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids, while anthraquinone and terpenoids are not needed. The existence of secondary metabolite content in this plant is intended to be used as a raw material needed because it has an active metabolite content that links this plant to have antioxidant and other antibacterial properties.

Abstract

The surface of ultrahydrophobic glass has been successfully prepared using the combination of TiO2 and stearic acid. TiO2 was used to increase the surface roughness, while stearing acid was a surface modifier. The peroxo sol-gel method has been used to synthesize TiO2 precursors on the glass layer followed by modification of stearic acid. The maximal water contact angle of 141o has been obtained for the composition of 0.4 grams of stearic acid and 20 mL of ethanol (NKTS-2%). AFM analysis showed the roughness of NKTS-2% is 4,15 nm, which was greater than the pure glass. FTIR analysis also showed vibration of C=O (carbonyl) at 1697cm-1 indicating the chemical interaction between TiO2 and stearic acid. EDX spectrum analysis of TiO2/stearic acid (TiO2/C18H36O2) showed the existence of titanium, oxygen, and carbon. The optimum sample (NKTS-2%) showed a good transparency and self-cleaning properties compared to pure glass

Abstract

This research study about tiofen based organic dyes with D-π-A type as sensitizer on DSSC. The dyes were varied with the acceptor chain and were given names of dyes 1 to 10. The dye with the smallest band gap was added with the electron withdrawing and donating groups. The computational study used the hyperchem package with the AM1 calculation method. The result showed that dye 8 has the smallest band gap is 4,9 eV and dipole moment is 9,3 D. The effect of adding Cl as an electron withrawing group (EWG) can reduce the band gap value to 4,7 eV. The conclusions are that dye 8 is more potential as sensitizer on DSSC and the addition of Cl as EWG can improve the light harvesting efficiency.

Abstract

Abstract The background of this research is due to the limited learning resources that are independent and the lack of learning resources that the connect of material with daily life.Thus, in this research it was designed a design and test of Problem-Solving based chemistry E-Module using Kvisoft Flipbook software on Buffer Solution lesson.This research was administered at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. 4D development model was used in this research until Develop stage. The subjects of this research were a material validation, a media validation, and 1 teacher at the SMA PGRI Pekanbaru and 1teacher at the SMAN 5 Tapung to test the media practicality, and 10 students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru were to know the response of the media to know the response of the media.The data were collected through interview and questionnaire. The obtained data then were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research finding, it was obtained the assessment on material aspects 98.33% and by the media 95%, and they were on very valid criterion.The assessment percentage of student practicality test was 92.8% and the teacher was 93.5%, they were on very practical criterion.
