Abstract

This article will discuss the comparison of two learning models which are motivated by the ability to write short stories and the difficulties of students in expressing ideas and ideas in a short story. The method used in the research is experiment. Data collection techniques are carried out by tests, observations, and questionnaires. After posttest data analysis shows the value of sig (2-tailed) of 0.007 or 0.0035, meaning the value of sig (0.007) <a (0.05) H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, at a significance level of 5% the average posttest score the experiment was 79.35 and the control class was 70.97. This means that the ability to write short stories of experimental class students who use the problem based learning model with visual media is better than the control class that uses the inquiry model with visual media. Keywords: problem based learning, writing, short stories, inquiry, visual media models

Abstract

Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan variasi kolokial yang dipengaruhi faktor luar bahasa yang tedapat dalam interkasi SPEAKING. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan menitik beratkan peneliti sebagai instrumen penentu dalam penyelesian penelitian ini dengan deskripsi analisis terkait data. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa tuturan yang ditranskrip dari interaksi para penutur pada peritiwa turur tertentu. Teknik dalam penelitian ini yaitu deksriptif analisis yang digunakan untuk memaparkan penjelasan mengenai interaksi SPEAKING pada terapan variasi kolokial dalam bentuk tuturan yang ditranskrip. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan penggunaan variasi bahasa kolokial yang ada dalam hierarki Kepolisian Republik Indonesia terdiri dari, (1) kolokial penghilangan huruf vokal dalam sebuah kata, (2) kolokial penghilangan huruf konsonan  dalam sebuah kata, (3) penggunaan suku kata awal dan akhir pada sebuah kata, kemudian variasi bahasa kolokial dapat juga digunakan dalam situasi semi formal, dan formal. Katakunci: kolokial, SPEAKING, semi formal, dan formalAbstract This article will describe colloquial variations that are influenced by external factors in the SPEAKING interaction. The qualitative descriptive method was used in this study, with the emphasis on the researcher as a decisive instrument in completing this study with a description of the analysis related to the data. The data in this study are utterances that are transcribed from the interactions of speakers at certain speech events. The technique in this study is the descriptive analysis which is used to explain the explanation of the SPEAKING interaction in the application of colloquial variations in the form of transcribed speech. The results of this study indicate the use of colloquial language variations that exist in the hierarchy of the Indonesian National Police consisting of, (1) colloquial omission of vowels in a word, (2) colloquial omission of consonants in a word, (3) use of initial and final syllables in a word. a word, then colloquial language variations can also be used in semi-formal and formal situations.Keywords: Colloquial, SPEAKING, Semi-Formal, and Formal Situations

Abstract

This article describes how the students' perceptions of reading and service availability from the library of FKIP Universitas Suryakacana. The research was conducted descriptively by using instrument in the form of questionnaire and checklist. The results showed that students respond positively to the collections that are available both in terms of quantity and variety. Available collections are considered to fit the needs of the user. Then, in terms of services such as the length of time of lending, the time of service, and the attitudes and skills of the officers, and the available supporting facilities also get a positive assessment from the pemutaka. However, it does not mean everything is perfect. In other words, both the collection and the services of the library FKIP Universitas Suryakancana still need to continue to clean up and innovate for the comfort and passion of students to learn by reading can be better so that will have an impact on improving the quality of teaching and learning process. Abstract

This article discusses the learning of writing short stories with transformational techniques, transforming Sundanese Cianjuran songs into a short story. The study was applied to students of class IX at SMP Bina Utama in 2017-2018. The research method used is the experimental method (Pre Experimental Desaign). The sample used is the IXE class and it is chosen based on certain considerations. The instruments used are observation and tests. The results showed that the results of learning to write short stories before using text transformation techniques (pretest) were classified as low, with an average pretest score of 50.68, while using the text transformation technique (posttest) the results were in the medium category, with the average posttest result was 65,45. Then, after being compared with the t-test, the significance value of the data before and after treatment is 0,000, which means the significance value is 0,000 <0,05, then H0 is rejected. From the results of the significance test, it can be said that the treatment (learning technique) that has been applied in this study is the text transformation technique in writing short stories successfully increasing students' short story writing skills.Keywords: writing,  short stories, transformation, tembang Sunda

Abstract

Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada siswa kelas X MAN 2 Cianjur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus, setiap siklus dua kali pertemuan. Data diperoleh dengan angket, observasi, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL mampu meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, model PBL dapat meningkatkan kreativitas menulis teks anekdot, skor rata-rata kreativitas menulis teks anekdot saat pratindakan 67% setelah diberi tindakan  (siklus I) meningkat 7% menjadi 74% dan siklus II meningkat lagi sebesar 6% menjadi 80%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas X IPS 4 MAN 2 CianjurThis paper describes an increase in the effectiveness of learning to write anecdotal texts by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used was Classroom Action Research with two cycles, each cycle consisted of two meetings. Data obtained from questionnaire, observation, and test. The results show that the use of PBL model was able to improve the quality of the learning process. In addition, PBL models could increase the creativity of writing anecdotal texts. This can be seen from the students’ average score of writing anecdotal text in pre-action was 67%, after an action was implemented in the first cycle it increased 7% to 74% and after the second cycle the average score of writing an anecdotal text on Grade 2 students at MAN 2 Cianjur increased 6% to 80%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of PBL model can improve anecdotal text writing skills of students of class X IPS 4 MAN 2 CianjurKata kunci : anekdot, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Artikel ini penggunaan model pembelajaran “Picture and Picture” dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan “one group pretest-posttest design”. Sampel yang terpilih adalah kelas VII A SMP Terpadu Miftahul Ulum. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah penggunaan lembar tes, penggunaan lembar angket atau kuesioner, penggunaan pedoman observasi, dan penggunaan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 1) kemampuan menulis teks prosedur mengalami peningkatan dilihat dari perolehan nilai peserta didik dengan selisih 14 angka, 2) hasil  uji prasyarat pengolahan data memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model membelajaran “Picture and Picture” dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks prosedur, 3) model pembelajaran “Picture and Picture” dapat mempermudah pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur, dan 4) model pembelajaran “Picture and Picture” efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur. Kata kunci: Menulis, teks prosedur, picture and picture..Abstract:This article discusses the use the "Picture and Picture" learning model in learning to write procedural texts. The results of this study indicate that 1) the ability to write procedural text has increased as seen from students' scores with 14 points increase 2) the results of the data processing of prerequisite test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that "Picture and Picture" learning model can be used in learning procedure text, 3) the "Picture and Picture" learning model can make it easier to learn to write procedure text, and 4) the "Picture and Picture" learning model is effective to use in learning to write procedure text.Keywords: writing, procedural text, picture and picture

Abstract

Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan : 1) sumber implikatur percakapan sinetron Dunia Terbalik episode 2006-2007 dan 2) bentuk implikatur percakapan pada jenis kalimat dalam tuturan sinetron Dunia Terbalik episode 2006-2007. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode simak, sedangkan teknik yang dipakai adalah teknik catat dalam pengumpulan data.  Data diperoleh dari tuturan yang di dalamnya terkandung implikatur. Data-data yang didapat kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik dan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Metode penyajian menggunakan penyajian informal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di dalam sinetron Dunia Terbalik episode 2006-2007 ditemukan 7 implikatur percakapan, 1 bersumber pelanggaran bidal kuantitas, 1 bersumber dari pengambangan bidal relevansi, 2 bentuk implikatur pada kalimat deklaratif yang menyatakan penolakan dan protes, 1 bentuk implikatur pada kalimat interogatif yang menyatakan pengabaian, dan 2 bentuk implikatur pada kalimat imperatif yang menyatakan pengusiran secara halus dan ketidaksukaan. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sumbangsih untuk pengembangan ilmu pragmatik dan referensi bagi penelitian sejenis.Katakunci: bentuk, implikatur, konteks, sinetron, sumber  AbstractThis article has a purpose to describe: 1) the source of the implicature of the 2006-2007 episodes of Dunia Terbalik soap opera and 2) conversational implicatures of the sentence types in the 2006-2007 episodes of the sinetron. The method used observation method, while the technique used the note taking technique in collecting data. The data were obtained from utterances which contained implicatures. The data were analysed using a pragmatic and a qualitative descriptive approach. The method of result presentation used informal presentation. The results showed that in the Dunia Terbalik soap opera episode 2006-2007, it was found 7 conversational implicatures, 1 originating from violating maxim of the quantity, 1 originating from maxim of relevance, 2 implicatures in declarative sentence stating rejection and protest, 1 implicature in interrogative sentence which expressed abandonment, and 2 implicatures in imperative sentences which implied indirect expelling and dislike. Abstract

Dalam artikel ini akan dibahas eksistensi perempuan Jawa yang  bukan sekedar pelengkap atau “kanca wingking” saja, melainkan memiliki posisi dan peran yang sama dengan laki-laki. Afifah Afra menggambarkan tokoh utama dalam novel sebagai perempuan yang memaknai eksistensinya sebagai perempuan Jawa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori eksistensialisme Simone De Beauvoir. Penelitian berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan keterlibatan tokoh perempuan Jawa dalam memperjuangkan eksistensi dirinya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Sementara itu, teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara menyeleksi, mengklasifikasi, menafsirkan, memaknai data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui validitas semantik, validitas referensial, dan reliabilitas intrarater. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel memberikan gambaran kondisi perempuan Jawa yang eksistensinya begitu kompleks, sebagai individu, sebagai anggota keluarga, dan sebagai anggota masyarakatKatakunci: eksistensi; perempuan Jawa; Simone De Beauvoir; novel  Abstract:This article will discuss the existence of Javanese women who are not just complementary or “kanca wingking”, but have the same position and role as men. Afifah Afra describes the main character in the novel as a female character who interprets her existence as a Javanese woman. This research was conducted using Simone De Beauvoir's existentialism theory. This study attempts to describe the involvement of Javanese female characters in fighting for their existence. Data collection techniques were carried out by using documentation techniques and a literature study. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques were carried out by selecting, classifying, interpreting, interpreting the data, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was obtained through semantic validity, referential validity, and interrater reliability. The results of the study show that the novel provides a description of the condition of Javanese women whose existence is very complex, as individuals, as family members, and as members of society.Keywords: existence; Javanese women; Simone De Beauvoir; novel

Abstract

This article is intended to describe the learning respond religious value in poetry. The purpose of this study is to determine how test results and student feedback regarding religious values contained in Poetry When you pray Emha Ainun Nadjib work. This research uses descriptive method. The research objectives are students of class X-2 SMA PGRI Cianjur. Data collection techniques were used that technique tests and questionnaires. Based on the research that has been conducted on Learning Responding Value of Religious in Poetry "When you pray," Works emha ainun nadjib most students or nearly all students get good grades, and most or nearly all students provide feedback-In answer is good about values religious contained in poetry related to the value relgius faith, istiqomahan, sense of patience, gratitude, compassion, and courageous do not despair. Meanwhile, based on a questionnaire given to students of all students enjoy participating in learning the Indonesian language, and Values contained in the poem when you pray. Abstract

This article describes the development of learning steps oriented towards strengthening character education. The material used in learning is "Text Report Experiments". The development of learning steps is prepared to provide convenience to Indonesian language teachers in formulating the lesson plan and in implementing it in the classroom. The research uses a development method that focuses on efforts to produce and validate a learning model, especially learning implementation activities that are in the lesson plan made by Indonesian language teachers Class IX. The products developed in the study are steps in Indonesian language learning especially with regard to text reporting experiments. The results of the study were in the form of developing learning steps in detail and contained the values of strengthening character education. The results of the study are expected to facilitate teachers in carrying out Indonesian language learning and also facilitate in preparing lesson plans. In addition, learning Indonesian using this development model is expected to encourage students to have good communication competencies and character.
