Abstract

This article will discuss linguistic elements from the perspective of cohesion and coherence. This is done because the two are connected, giving rise to meaning. The method used is what is commonly called descriptive with the descriptive text object on the YouTube show "Kasidi Becomes Head of State". The text is on the Tri Budhi Sastrio account. The findings show that cohesion and coherence in a discourse vary. Almost all types of cohesion and coherence are spread throughout the text, there are grammatical and lexical cohesion as well as marked and unmarked coherence.Keywodrs: cohesion; coherence; discourse; YouTubeAbstrakArtikel ini akan mendiskusikan unsur-unsur kebahasaan dari sudut kohesi dan koherensi. Hal ini dilakukan karena keduanya memiliki pertautan sehingga menimbulkan makna. Metode yang digunakan yairu yang lazim disebut deskriptif dengan objek teks deskripsi pada tayangan youtube “Kasidi Menjadi Kepala Negara”. Teks terdapat di akun Tri Budhi Sastrio. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa kohesi dan koherensi pada sebuah wacana beragam. Hampir semua jenis kohesi dan koherens tersebar di keseluruhan teks, ada kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal sert koherensi berpenanda dan tidak berpenanda.Kata kunci: kohesi; koherensi; wacana; Youtube
