Abstract

The number recognition identical with some research related to pattern recognition, especially the use of classification techniques Artificial Neural Network (ANN). This research aims to design application of number recognition using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with back propagation algorithm. To get the best pattern recognition, be done some of stages. First, collected of data by taking the characteristics of numeric characters. Second, done segmentation on each character with a size of 10 x 8 pixels, each image segmentation then converted into a black and white image format and represented in binary form 0-1, the binary value of each character formed into a vector as an input to the process of the ANN . Third, prepared ANN architecture for training and testing process. The amount of data used in this research were 1400 data, the 75% is used as training data and 30% is used as a data testing. The results obtained from the introduction of ANN models with up to 80 layers of inputs, 30 hidden layers and 11 output layers, the model was able to produce validation accuracy of 99.49% and 97.62% testing.

Abstract

This study aims to make it easier for alumni to obtain and provide job vacancy information via SMS, utilize a data port cable (serial COM port) as an interface between a PC and HP, and design an SMS application program to input, edit or ask for job information, then a service is designed information for alumni to make it easier to get job information.With this service system, alumni can get job vacancies information without having to go to campus, simply by using the SMS service on the cellphone, the system will automatically answer or respond to requests from clients / alumni anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

This study aims to build e-Learning applications at STMIK Kharisma Makassar and evaluate the applications being built. Data collection in this study was carried out using library techniques, then data were analyzed using qualitative methods. The system is designed using Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Database Design, and Input / Output and is implemented into the PHP programming language and MySQL database. For testing the system used the white box and black box methods. The elearning application program makes it easier for students and lecturers in the teaching and learning process. Evaluation shows that with this program students can read / retrieve material, assignments and articles provided by lecturers from courses that are programmed

Abstract

One method to optimize the output power of photovoltaic modules is to build a Hybrid photovoltaic system in this case the manufacture of water heating systems by utilizing solar energy through a photovoltaic system. This system uses a photovoltaic module and an extraction box containing 17 spiral-shaped copper pipes. This system is controlled by the ATMega 8535 microcontroller to activate the Windshield Whiser Pumper at 450C to pump fluid into the pipe. System testing was carried out for 3 different types of material namely water, thermal oil and air. The test was carried out on 3 different weather conditions for water material namely sunny, cloudy and cloudy weather conditions and data collection was carried out for 5 hours at certain hours. The test results show the best value of total power efficiency obtained by water material in sunny weather conditions of 67.99%, followed by thermal oil media of 21.06% and finally air material. Hot water produced from pipes can be used for bathing and sterilizing medical devices

Abstract

In this research software is designed that can provide information about the use of electrical energy in real time.In the electrical information system current sensor and voltage sensor will provide input to the microcontroller. This microcontroller has been included a program to control the hardware of the supporting system components. After the microcontroller processes the input from the current sensor and the voltage sensor, then the data will be displayed to the LCD. To store data used a laptop that functions as a server.The results of this study are to display the amount of energy used in each room of a boarding house in real time. The results obtained are the average discrepancy between the theoretical calculations with the results of the system is an average of 0.04% - 6.3%

Abstract

This research carried out with regard to the implementation of IT Governance to the process of improve customer orientation and service levels in STMIK Kharisma. The purpose of this study was to produce current conditions, the level of maturity of IT Governance in STMIK Kharisma, and produce recommendations for improve of IT Governance processes improve customer orientation and service level by using CobIT 4.1. CobIT 4.1 is one of the IT governance standards could be tailored the needs STMIK Kharisma to performe and asses their IT implementation. Data collected by Interview technique to determine the business goals and IT goals in STMIK Kharisma , as well as to determine the maturity level of IT Governance with the questionnaitr technique. After going through testing the validity and reliability, the questionnaire stated reliable with Alpha Cronbach value greater than 0,6, and declared valid if Alpha Cronbach value greater than 0,708. The results of this study indicate the level of maturity of as-is conditions there is at level 1 ( the attribute SE ) and are at level 2 (on the attributes of AC, PPP, TA, RA, and GSM ), while the expected conditions STMIK Kharisma at the level of 4 (Managed and Measurable), then analysis the level of the gap, and will produce recommendations for improvements to the mapping of each attribute to be achieved in activities that support the implementation of expected conditions (to-be) intitution. Where at level 2 ( Repeatable but Intuitive) focused on planning, on level 3 (defined) focuses on identification and implementation, and on level 4 (Managed and Measurable) focuses on the repair, maintenance, monitoring, and documentation of services already in STMIK Kharisma.

Abstract

Aim and purpose of this research is how the picture of the current state (as-is), and the expected conditions (to-be), in order to obtain the level of maturity of the application of IT Governance that have been and will be applied, and how to proposed strategy improvement. The method applied refers to the COBIT 4.1 framework, and focused on the evaluation process DS10 (Manage problems). Collecting data through interviews and questionnaires distribution to describe the current state (as-is), and the expected (to-be). Then, the measurement results of the questionnaire using the reliability test and validity test. Results from this study indicate the level of maturity of current state (as-is) in each attribute (AC, PPP, TA, SE, RA, GSM) at the level of 2 (two), and the expected conditions (to-be) were in level 4 (four); gaps in the overall attribute is 2 (two); and generate strategies proposed improvements, which at level 2 (repeatable but intuitive) to 3 (defined) focuses on documentation, understanding procedures, construction, and communications. Meanwhile, at level 3 to 4 (managed and measurable) focused on monitoring, maintenance, evaluation, and measurement.
