Abstract

Maternal deaths in Indonesia are still generally caused by three main factors, namely bleeding (around 30.3% of cases), hypertension during pregnancy (around 27.1%), and infection (around 7.3%). The prevalence of pregnant women experiencing Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in Indonesia is around 23.4%, while in South Sulawesi Province it reaches around 26.7%. According to data from the Makassar City Health Service 2020, the average prevalence of pregnant women experiencing CED in Makassar City is around 6.09%, which then increased to around 13.3% in 2020. CED in pregnant women can increase the risk of maternal death and other health problems such as anemia and bleeding after giving birth. This service aims to prevent CED in pregnant women in the Kassi - Kassi Health Center Working Area. The method involves providing nutritional education to around 20 pregnant women in the area, involving village midwives, cadres and community leaders as partners. This activity was carried out in three stages: the first stage was the presentation of information, the second stage involved measuring height (TB) and body weight (BB), and the third stage was a question and answer session. The results of this service showed that pregnant women were very enthusiastic and many of them asked questions related to pregnant women's nutrition, healthy food composition, and the nutritional status of pregnant women. Most pregnant women understand and understand the counseling given. In conclusion, nutrition education can increase pregnant women's knowledge about how to prevent CED.

Abstract

Failure in the breastfeeding process often occurs due to several problems that arise in post partum mothers, including lack of flow of milk which occurs in cases of breast milk dams. Damage in breast milk (Breast Engagement) is caused by increased venous flow of lymph in the breast which causes a feeling of fever, redness, swelling and hardening. One treatment that can be done to correct the problem and speed up breast milk production is an oketani massage. Oketani massage is a complementary therapy with breast care methods to increase breast milk production. Oketani massage can stimulate the strength of the pectoralis muscle to increase breast milk production and help the consistency of the breasts become elastic and reduce the incidence of breast milk dams in breastfeeding mothers. The aim of this service is to examine the effectiveness of oketani massage in preventing and treating postpartum mothers who experience breast milk dams and in increasing breast milk production. The population for this service is 6 postpartum mothers in Bonto Bulaeng Hamlet, Padang Village, Kab. Bulukumba. Outreach activities regarding Oketani Massage Education in Handling Post Partum Breast Milk Dams in Bonto Bulaeng Hamlet, Padang Village, Gantarang District, Kab. Bulukumba has been implemented well based on planning based on the enthusiasm of the mothers involved in participating in this activity. This activity was carried out to increase mothers' knowledge about Oketani Massage Education in Handling Breast Milk Dams.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a developing country, has a fairly large teenage population. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that teenagers are residents in the age range of 10-19 years. However, one of the developments in the industrial revolution 4.0 is a big leap in the information and communication technology sector. The development of technology among teenagers has triggered quite an increase in the use of smartphones so that it can influence teenage behavior, where teenagers also participate in sexting behavior, causing concern in various circles. The term sexting refers to the sending and receiving of sexual images through some form of virtual messaging where someone sends messages or material in the form of images and videos electronically, especially via smartphones, the internet and other electronic media. With the increasing number of teenagers and very complex teenage problems, especially the most prominent problem is teenage sexual behavior, which is the beginning of teenage reproductive health problems, this service aims to increase teenagers' knowledge about sexting behavior in order to avoid sexting behavior. The method used is a pre-test and post-test after health education regarding sexting behavior. The results show that the majority of teenagers' knowledge before counseling was less than 12 teenagers or 80%. Meanwhile, teenagers' knowledge before being given counseling was lowest at Good knowledge, namely 1 person or 6.67%. Teenagers' knowledge after counseling was highest in good knowledge, namely 14 people or 93.33%. This is an appropriate benchmark for the success of counseling.

Abstract

Complementary therapy in health services is a non-conventional treatment aimed at improving the health status of the community. These therapies include promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts, although currently existing complementary therapies are one of the options during pregnancy to reduce common complaints or discomfort. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide knowledge to mothers about complementary therapies in pregnancy. This activity was carried out on September 28, 2023 at Puskesmas Bajeng, Gowa Regency with a total of 15 pregnant women who were carried out by providing information about the definition, purpose and benefits as well as types of complementary therapies for pregnancy. The results of the service activities showed that the pre-test results of mothers with good knowledge were only 2 people (13.33%) and post-test good knowledge of 14 people (93.33%). Through health education about complementary therapy in pregnancy, it is hoped that there will be an increase in the knowledge and attitude of pregnant women in utilizing complementary therapy so that it can be beneficial and safe for the mother and fetus.
