Abstract

Mineral and coal resources and reserves in the world even in Indonesia need to be known, considering that until now more and more industries need it, so that it can cause a reduction in raw material supply for the industry. To find out the amount of resources and reserves, data or information is needed, so after knowing the relevant information, it is expected to know what strategies to do. The method used is the comparison between Indonesian data and world data so that the percentage of ownership in Indonesia can be known. The results showed that coal in Indonesia was estimated to range from 2% -3% of coal in the world. For metal minerals, Indonesia had 6.08% nickel, 6.82% cobalt, 14.05 lead, 9.63% zinc, 3.33% bauxite, 0.72 iron, 4.63 gold, 16.67% tin , 3.29% copper, 19.17 manganese, 0.44% chromium, 0.17 titanium.

Abstract

People in Doput village and Misapmeysi villages, based on their local knowlegde and understandings, have different points of view in perceiving problems resulted from mining activities, particularly impacts that have been experienced. In order to find out the villagers’ perception, a questionnaire consisted of questions about language, local knowledge, technology, art, traditional livelihood, religion, and kinship were distributed to 50 respondents in the two villages. The results showed that 74%– 88% of the respondents have good perception in terms of local culture. This is because the respondents assumed that the local culture still existed, and even would be preserved both before and after the limestone mining activities of PT. SDIC Papua Cement Indonesia Manokwari. The average percentage of cultural variables were perceived from good to very good; language (74%), natural knowledge (88%), tecnology (83%), art (74,67%), living livelihood traditional (83,33%), religion (85%), and kinship (84%). In general, the results indicated that the limestone mining in Maruni has been positively perceived by the villagers, espeecially from the culture perspective

Abstract

Road is one of the important aspects to support transportation activities. Appropriate road geometry can contribute greatly to the safety and smoothness of transport activities. In addition to the road geometry, water can also affect the condition of haul road, from which it can indirectly affect the transportation activities. Therefore,it is important to conduct an evaluation of the haul road geometry condition based on the AASHTO theory, and to design drainage on the road side of the mine. Road geometry at PT. Sumber Anugerah Buana has not suitable yet based on AASHTO theory. This is proven by using the actual result showing that the the width of straight road was 4 - 7,5 meter, and the width of bend road was 5.3 - 5,5 meter. However, according to AASHTO theory, the width of straight road should be 4,850 meter and the width of bend road should be 7,733 meters. So, it is necessary to add width on straight road in segment IJ and in all segment of bend road. The slope of the mine haul road at PT. Sumber Anugerah Buana already has a safe slope of the road, except the A-B segment and D-E segment that are still above the safe condition, which is more than 15%. PT. Sumber Anugerah Buana does not have drainage, so it is necessary to make channel on the first DTH dimension, that is 0,463 meter wide, 0,701 meter deep, and 0,928 meter wide of the channel surface. Meanwhile, the dimension for the second DTH should be 0, 260 meter wide of the channel bottom, 0.395 meter deep of the channel, and 0,522 meters wide of the channel surface.

Abstract

Landslide events in an area are manifestations of unstable slope conditions, so that evaluation of slope stability and mapping of areas prone to landslides is very important as an effort to mitigate landslides. In this study the Slope Stability Probability Classification (SSPC) method was used to evaluate slope stability in the Piyungan-Patuk area. which is a rock mass classification system for slope stability which classifies 3 (three) different rock masses through a three-step approach namely: Exposure Rock Mass (ERM), Reference Rock Mass (RRM) and Slope Rock Mass (SRM). Slope stability analysis results on 18 selected slopes obtained probability of slope stability with very low to very high classification with a probability value of stability <0.5 to> 95, where the probability value is strongly influenced by rock mass parameters such as rock strength, discontinuity and weathering rate .
