Abstract

SMA IT Raflesia Bogor is a school that implements character education through daily, weekly, monthly and yearly programs so as to contribute to advancing a nation. The purpose of this research is to describe the phenomenon of character education through religious activities at SMA IT Raflesia. This study uses a qualitative approach using data collection techniques, namely observation to observe phenomena in the field, interviews are used to interview school principals, students, curriculum, IRMA coaches, and several students X and XI and parents. Data processing uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that SMA IT Raflesia implements character education in three ways, namely daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Meanwhile, daily includes (1) praying five times a day; (2) duha prayer; (3) greet teacher and sesame; (4) pray before and after studying. There is also violence, namely the study on Thursday. Annual activities through commemoration of Islamic holidays (PHBI).

Abstract

Educating children from an early age is an important and fundamental milestone for a child's life, and has a major influence on subsequent child development. In educating children, we still encounter many parents (educators) who are ambitious and force their young children to have more abilities, without paying attention to the level of development and abilities of the children. On the contrary, many parents are indifferent to their children's education without regard to values important Islamic teachings regarding child education. Based on the background of the problems above, the formulation of the problem is as follows: 1) when did education begin to be given to children, 2) what educational aspects are contained in Surah An-Nur verses 58-59. The purpose of writing this thesis is: 1) to find out the early stages of educating children, 2) to find out the educational aspects contained in Surah An-Nur verses 58-59. The methods used in this study are deductive and inductive methods, namely methods used to collect and analyze general data to make specific conclusions, and specific data to general conclusions. The data was obtained using literature study techniques and documentation techniques from various premier sources, namely the actual Al-Qur'an and Al-Hadith regarding the educational aspects contained in Surah An-Nur verses 58-59. After the data is collected, it is then interpreted and analyzed using logic supported by Islamic education as an analytical tool. After being analyzed, the following conclusions are obtained: 1) educating children begins with selecting a mate, during the womb and after birth, 2) the educational aspects contained in Surah An-Nur verses 58-59 are: the obligation of parents to educate their children from the early age, namely by getting used to the child to always ask permission from parents at three times, namely: before the dawn prayer, at midday, and after evening.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the quality of the validity and reliability of the summative test questions in English class 1 at SDIT Raudhatul Jannah. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research because the data generated is in the form of numbers. The population used in this study were 30 students at SDIT Raudhatul Jannah. The sample used was 10 summative test questions. The data collection technique used was a documentation technique by photocopying the student grade data at SDIT Raudhatul Jannah. The data analysis technique used in this study was to use the SPPS version 26 program. Based on the results of the validity and reliability tests on this research instrument, namely summative test questions in English class 1 SDIT Raudhatul Jannah, it was found that the summative questions were prepared by the eye teacher. The lesson is valid with value and reliable or consistent to be used as a measuring tool in measuring student learning outcomes for a certain period. 6 out of 10 valid questions are measured using a significance number of 0.01 and have a reliability value of 0.644. This value exceeds the minimum limit of measurements using Cronbach Alpha if you want to be declared reliable, which is equal to 0.60. So, it can be concluded that the summative questions made by the English subject teacher at SDIT Raudhatul Jannah are valid and appropriate to use.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of reading habits on students' ability to write book reviews, the effect of learning methods on students' ability to write book reviews, and the effect of interaction on the ability to write book reviews in class XI SMA Nurul Hasanah Ciheulang in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used an experimental method and took a sample of 40 people from 100 students at Nurul Hasanah Ciheulang High School in the 2022/2023 academic year who were the objects of research. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires for the Reading Habits variable, treatment or action tests for the Question and Answer Learning Method variable, and a written test in the form of descriptions for the Book Review Writing Ability variable. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 16. This research was conducted from September to November 2022. The results showed that: 1) there is a significant effect of reading habits on the ability to write book reviews; 2) there is a significant effect of the Learning Method on the ability to write book reviews; 3) there is no effect of the Interaction of Reading Habits and Learning Methods on the Ability to Write Book Reviews. The research hypothesis was tested using a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the results of F count > F table, namely: X1: F count 48,650 > F table: 4.08, X2: F count 24.976 > F table: 3.09 and X1 X2 F count = 0.599 < F table = 3.09.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of the TPR method at SMPN 1 KRAMATWATU for grade 8F students. This study takes how effective the method is. The result shows that students understand more when using the TPR method. Researchers used descriptive qualitative when conducting the research.

Abstract

The study of classic book which is carried out in schools has its own charm because the yellow book is a book that studies the products of previous scholars and is full of values ​​so it needs to be managed properly in order to give birth to a good education. This study aims to explain the phenomenon of learning the yellow book at Mafazah Middle School. This research method uses a qualitative approach using observation techniques, interviews, documentation studies, and data analysis techniques. This study found that learning planning was carried out to formulate goals, determine learning materials, learning strategies, and learning evaluation. Organizing is carried out by creating an organizational structure to carry out learning. Implementation of learning is done based on what has been planned. The evaluation is carried out based on daily evaluations and exams through reading the book

Abstract

Nowadays, the opportunity for nurses to work abroad is wider and even wider more by the commitments of 61 members of World Trade Organization (WTO) under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). This challenges non-English native universities with nursing study program to equip their graduates with English communication skill through English for Specific Purpose Course. This study aimed to find nursing students needs in learning English. It used a mixed-method research design with 45 nursing students selected purposively as the respondents. The data were collected through a questionnaire, class observations, and interviews. In the interviews, the researchers invited 10 of 45 students to answer several open questions. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively. The results produced three themes, namely: (1) reading and speaking skill: reality and expectation, (2) nursing student perspectives on English and the learning, and (3) ELT effectiveness with ESP approach. In practice field, the students found that they needed to understand the English reading texts and expected to have a better speaking skill. They also showed a high interest in English and felt the importance for their future career. They argued that their ongoing English learning was effective for them since the learning materials were suited and supporting media were available. Thus, the students stated readiness to implement their English communication skill in nursing occupational practices.

Abstract

This study investigates students’ listening skill by using English songs. It is known that English is taught ranging from elementary school until universities, but although English is taught in those educational level not all the students can communicate in this language. The purpose of this study to know effectiveness of using English songs to improve students listening skills because listening is the most frequent type of communication activities, listening, then, is one of the skills that need to be developed in order that the students are truly effective in understanding English. The writer tried to observe the effectiveness of songs used as the instructional media to teach students in order to have English proficiency better. The target of this research was the students at eleventh grade of SMA Nurul Hasanah Cheulang Kecamatan Rangkasbitung Lebak-Banten. There were 52 students. The hypothesis of the research is there is a positive effect of the songs used in teaching learning process on the listening achievement, or there isn't increase students listening mastery by using songs in teaching learning process. If there is found effect of songs, how effective the using songs. The data needed to answer the research question are collected by mean of test. The test is divided into pre-test on experimental group. The data were then analyzed by using t-test. Based on data analyzed, it is found that t-observe is higher than t-table (8.125>2.02). Thus, the writer has conclusion that songs can increase the students listening mastery

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a needs analysis for the development of teaching materials for poetry studies containing character education. The method used is development research (research and development). Product development is carried out according to the steps of the research and development model (Gall, Gall, and Borg 2003). Two data in the research were obtained through questionnaires and interviews. The data that has been collected from the questionnaire is then analysed statistically to obtain the average value of all respondents, while the qualitative data is analysed descriptively qualitatively. The research results show that students need teaching materials that are relevant to the curriculum, learning outcomes, student needs, and can be applied in students' daily lives. In the aspect of teaching material content, students need concise, clear, interesting and easy to understand descriptions of teaching material so as to create a sense of comfort and foster self-confidence, material that can provide new knowledge and integration of character values ​​in teaching material, availability of study steps poetry and instructions on how to do assignments, and the availability of various poems to study.

Abstract

This study was done due to the importance of morphological awareness for the English learners. By conducting morphological analysis, the learners will have a better understanding about linguistic. They will also be able to increase their vocabulary mastery. As the students have a good vocabulary mastery their other skills of English will increase, too. The intension of this study was to uncover the affixes category and to describe the affixation in the Top Five Track Lyrics of Spotify 2020 Edition as the main data. The qualitative research method was applied by using two instruments to collect the data; observation and documentation. The data gathered then was analyzed in five stages. The result shows that of the five songs been analyzed there were three categories including; Affixes in a Noun, Affixes in an Adjective and Affixes in a Verb found in inflectional affixes, and three categories of derivational affixes; Noun or and Adjectives to Form Adverb, Noun or and Adverb to Form Adjectives and Verb, Adjective, Adverb, or Noun to Form Verb.
