Jurnal Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies (2622-6022) well-known as Adjektiva is an forum for original research on linguistics, literature, eduaction an international forum for original research focused on identities as local contexts, like an identity in linguistics, identity in literature, and identity in language education in global and local contexts, especially in Indonesia. These may include but are not limited to various fields, such as we are interested in interdisciplinary studies examining how issues of linguistics, literature, and education in language influence individual and community identities. In order to publish in Adjektiva, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts that are packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this study and central focus on local, foreign, minority, heritage, or indigenous languages (or non-standard dialects) and their intersection with either identity and/or education in language, linguistics and literature. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (both qualitative and quantitative). Studies that highlight the potential of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (e.g. Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Anthropolinguistics, Ethnolinguistics, Stylistics, Dialectology, LHK, Psychopragmatics, etc.). Critical studies of Literature (e.g. Digitizing literature, new literary theories, applied literature). Identity in language and literature(e.g. Ethnic Identity, vocational identity, job identity, religious identity, moral identity, political identity, etc.). Research on innovations or on the effectiveness of various language education program models (e.g. Learning Curriculum, Learning Strategies, Learning Assessment, BIPA, International Language Coaching).

Abstract

This reseach discusses the language acquisition of children aged one to three years in terms of phonological and syntactic acquisition. This study aims to describe the stage of language acquisition for children aged one to three years in phonological and syntactic aspects in Bangun Rejo village, Tenggarong Seberang District. Systematic, factual, and accurate. The collection techniques used were observation techniques, interview techniques, and note-taking techniques.Data analisys techniques used by researchers are data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of reseach on the phonological aspect show that children aged one to three years are able to pronounce vowel sounds [a], [i], [u], [e] and [o]. The consonants that can be pronounced range from seven to fourteen consonants. However, at this age period, children have not been able topronounce the consonant [r] and the pronounciation tends to be replaced by the consonant [l],[w], and [y].In the syntactic aspect, children aged one to three years are gradually able to pronounce one-word utterances, and a series of words which are then formed into declarative, interrogative, and imperative sentences.

Abstract

Short story is a form of fiction created by human creativity and imagination that contains ideas about life and is briefly expressed, both in terms of the number of actors, the events narrated, and the overall content of the story. Sociology is a scientific and objective study of humans in society, the study of social institutions and social processes. This study aims to determine the sociology of literature as a reflection of society's literary indicators in the short story of Banjirkap by Habolhasan Asyari and its implications for learning literature in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program based on Ian Watt's reception theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used are reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The data used in this study are words or sentences in the short story of the Banjirkap by Habolhasan Asyari. The results of this study are in the form of prose structure and literary sociology, literary indicators as a reflection of society. The results obtained from the structure of prose, namely: (a) theme, (b) plot, (c) characters and characterizations, (d) setting. The sociology of literature is as follows: (a) Literature as a mirror of society.

Abstract

Purpose of this study was to find out the number of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education 2018 at Mulawarman University who chose learning materials for basic knowledge competencies and basic skills competencies in the PLP 1 practice course, to find out why students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education 2018 at Mulawarman University chose basic competency learning materials. Basic knowledge or competency skills in PLP 1 practical courses. This research uses qualitative research methods. Sources of data used are sources (informants), and documents. Data collection techniques used are interviews, and documentary studies. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found: 45 students used learning materials (KD 3), 1 student used learning materials (KD 4). This happens because of the driving factors such as student abilities, interests/interests, and learning resources.

Abstract

Belian sentiyu is a traditional ceremony performed by the Dayak Benuaq people in Muara Begai village, West Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. The ceremony is related to the belief system and religion adopted by the local community and relates to requests for help to the spirits of spirits around them as well as ancestral spirits and the upper rulers (lahtala) and also the lower rulers (uwokng). This research focuses on the form and function of Belian Sentiyu's speech in the Muara Begai community. The purpose of this research was to describe the form and function of Belian Sentiyu's speech in the Muara Begai community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, recording, documentation, transcription, recording and summarizing, and translation techniques. The data analysis technique used is the analysis technique of Lexy J. Moleong, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from the form of speech in the form of spell characteristics, namely: (a) a series of rhyming words, (b) verbal, magical or magical, (c) espheric (a special language between the speaker and the interlocutor) and mysterious, ( d) use words that are less commonly used in everyday life. The functions of Belian Sentiyu's speech are: (a) as a means of validating cultural institutions and institutions, (b) as a means of educating children, (c) as a means of coercion and control so that the norms of society will always be obeyed by its collective members.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of community language variations on the WhatsApp social network and describe the causes of language variations in the WhatsApp social network community. This research uses descriptive qualitative research to accurately describe the characteristics of a particular individual, condition, symptom, or group, or to determine the frequency or distribution of a symptom and other symptoms and for data analysis techniques in the form of intralinguistic equivalent method that uses things which concerns the meaning, information, context of speech as the determinant. In this study, the authors analyzed two communities, namely: 1) the Fun Futsal Samarinda community and 2) the Super Junior & ELF community. From the results of the analysis, the authors get 56 data from the speech of the two communities, which can be classified into: 1) language variations of dialect variety, 2) language variations of kolokia variety, 3) language variations of slang variety, and 4) language variations of colloquial variety. The cause of language variation in the two communities is code mixing and slang. The use of code mixing and slang is considered as a way to facilitate communication among community members.
