Abstract

Abstract Mathematics as one part of the disciplines studied at every level of education. The learning process will occur effectively if all internal factors and external factors are regarded by the teacher. One of the internal factors is self-efficacy which includes task difficulties, anxiety, stress, strength and belief overcoming. This study aims to determine whether self-efficacy affects basic mathematics learning achievement for the third semester students PGMI of STAI Darul Ulum Kandangan for the academic year 2020/2021. This research is a correlational research with a quantitative approach. The data collection instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire, the final grades of basic mathematics courses obtained through documents and interview guidelines. The analytical technique used is descriptive statistical analysis (simple correlation coefficient). The sample taken was was 40 students of PGMI STAI Darul Ulum Kandangan. The results of the analysis based on the product moment analysis test stated that there was no significant effect of self-efficacy on the basic mathematics learning achievement the third semester students PGMI of STAI Darul Ulum Kandangan for the academic year 2020/202. the result showed that the t value was 0.726 at the 5% significance level and the t. table was 2.021. because student self-efficacy is effected by other factors, namely online learning. Abstract

This research aims to develop mathematical student worksheets (LKS) by using the construktivism approach to the pytagorean theorem material with the help of teaching aids in March 2020. The sampling techniquue in this research are purposive sampling. Data coolection techniques using questionnaires, validation sheets and test results. The type of research is used are reseac and development (R&D). Developotment design that is an ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, evaluation). Data analysis techniques used are qualitative data consisting of from the analisys of validaty, Practicality, and affectiveness. The results of this study show that the validity of tools based on constructivism approach whit the help of praga tool in RPP was stated to be very valid in review of the results of the validitaion of media experts and material experts whit an average, score of 48,00 tinles in the category x̅ > 42,06, LKS that was developed was stated to be very valid in view of the results of the validation of the experts with an average score of 48.5 being in the category x̅ > 42,06, and the props that were developed were stated to be very valid in view of the validation of the media experts, the score 74,00 is in the category x̅ > 67,21. Practicality results seen froom the questionnaire responses of students declared pratical whith the average number of scores 51,25 in the category 42 < x̅ ≤ 51. The effectiveness results are stated to very effective in terms of student learning outcomes, in the results 84,37% obtained in the “very good” category P ≥ 80. So that it can be concluded that LKS which is developed is valid, pratical and effective in learning mathematics so that it can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi kesulitan siswa yang bergaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pokok bahasan persamaan garis lurus pada kelas VIII MTs. DDI Walimpong Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dirancang untuk mengetahui deskripsi kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pokok bahasan persamaan garis lurus ditinjau dari gaya belajar. Data yang diolah adalah data gaya belajar siswa dan data kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pokok bahasan persamaan garis lurus. Digunakan angket gaya belajar untuk mengetahui gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kenestetik siswa. Soal yang digunakan untuk melihat kesulitan siswa adalah soal persamaan garis lurus yang berjumlah 5 soal yang terdiri atas kesulitan pemahaman konsep, kesulitan pemahaman prinsip, dan kesulitan skill. Wawancara dilakukan untuk lebih menggali kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan garis lurus. Berdasarkan olahan data tersebut, diperoleh bahwa siswa yang bergaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik memiliki kesulitan yang hampir sama dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan garis lurus. Adapun kesulitan yang paling dominan dialami siswa adalah kesulitan pemahaman konsep. Kata Kunci: Kesulitan, Gaya Belajar, Matematika

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 has changed all fields, including the education sector system. Teachers and students are required to learn from home through online learning, this has an effect on student mathematical resilience. This research was motivated by the many findings of decreasing student resilience in mathematics learning. The purpose of this study was to test: (1) Online learning measures by teachers (2) student mathematical resilience during online learning (3) student response to online learning. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The sample consists of 4 math teachers and 6 students with high, medium and low skills from one of the junior high schools in Mojokerto Regency. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire to students to study mathematical resilience students during online learning, interviews to test students' responses to online learning, and interviews and observations with teachers to analyze the steps of online learning. The results showed: 1) Online learning process begins with handouts through Google Classroom, followed by material explanations using zoom meetings and assignments through Google Classroom (2) student resilience to high mathematics during online learning. (3) Students give a positive response to online learning

Abstract

This study aims to study the learning outcomes of mathematics in eighth grade students of Neofmolo Satap State Junior High School in the contextual Linear One Variable material. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were eighth grade students at Neofmolo Satap Public Middle School in odd semester receiving 26 people. This research was conducted on November 29 to December 7, 2019 which was conducted in two cycles, with the number of students in cycle I as many as 25 people and cycle II as many as 26 people, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, interaction, and reflection . Data on each cycle and data on learning outcomes taken from the test results at the end of each cycle. Based on the results of data analysis shows there is an increase in student learning outcomes. This can be demonstrated through the increased test results in each cycle, namely in the first cycle of 25 students, who achieved completeness by 8 students or 32% in cycle II of 26 students, who achieved mastery by 20 students or 76.92%. Likewise, the activities of teachers and students showed an increase in the learning process. This can be seen from the observation sheet of teachers and students in each cycle. Thus it can cancel the learning of mathematics with contextual learning can improve student mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the misconceptions of flat shapes experienced by students at the elementary school level and provide alternative solutions to understand students' concepts of flat shapes. The method used is a literacy study by referring to sources such as books, articles, and journals. The results obtained regarding students' misconceptions about the concept of flat shapes are 1) there is no difference between concepts and numbers; 2) value of = 22/7 ; 3) parallelograms, rhombuses and squares are not rectangles. Alternative solutions offered to understand students about the concept of flat shapes include 1) re-explaining or re-explaining part of each concept or procedure; 2) problem student thinking or asking students to explain how they solve problems; 3) cognitive conflict, namely managing mathematics learning situations that allow elementary school students to identify conflicting mathematical principles between the original answers and students' answers.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out how much student’s achievements are by applying peer tutoring strategies in mathematics in class VIIG MTs N Kota Kupang City. The study used was a qualitative study with the learning strategy applied was a Peer Tutoring Strategy. The research subjects were Grade VIIG students of MTs N Kota Kupang City in the 2019/2020 academic year totaling 31 students the observed and measured variable in the student’s mathematics learning achievement. The results of the study explained that increasing student mathematics leraning achievement in the learning process that is with peer tutoring strategies learning with peer tutors is learning done with student peers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' creativity in realistic Mathematics Learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive research. The subject of this research are students at UPTD SMPN 12 Sinjai. The research instruments used include observation sheets, questionnaire sheets and interview guidelines. Triangulation used in this research is triangulation with technique. While the data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that of the 4 research subjects who worked on 2 questions, it was found that all students answered correctly and correctly on question 1, but in question 2 most students answered incorrectly. This is due to a conceptual error in the application of mathematical formulas, some use the concept of a square area and a triangle area even though what is being asked in the problem is the combined perimeter of a square. So that most of the research subjects answered the questions incorrectly. So it can be concluded that realistic mathematics must first understand the basic mathematical concepts and then be able to realize the concepts.

Abstract

Analysis of Students' Mathematical Understanding in Solving Real 1 Analysis Question Viewed from the Cognitive Style Field Dependent and Field Independent of Mathematic Education Study Program IAI Muhammadiyah Sinjai. Thesis. Sinjai: Mathematic Education Study Program. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training IAI Muhammadiyah Sinjai, 2021. This study aims to describe: (1) students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field dependent; (2) students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field independent. This research is a case study research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of fourth semester of the Mathematic Education Study Program. The method of data collection is by interview and solve question test. While the data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field dependent, namely students understand the problem by reading the problem, making an understood plan of completion and then completing the solution plan based on the understanding of previous learning, then checking the answers by rereading the question. Thus, students do not understand mathematically the test of solving real 1 analysis question given. Meanwhile, students' mathematical understanding in solving real 1 analysis questions in terms of cognitive style field independent, namely students understand the problem by reading the questions, making a solution plan that is understood and considered appropriate and then completes the plan based on the steps that have been made and understanding in previous learning then checks the answers by testing the solution steps. Thus, students do not understand mathematically the test of solving real 1 analysis question given even though students have completed the test and can explain the steps for solving it.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties of students and the factors experienced by students in solving addition and subtraction problems of integers in seventh grade students of Ende Christian Middle School. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using diagnostic tests, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the research were the eighteenth grade students of Ende Christian Middle School as many as 22 students who completed the diagnostic test questions, there were 5 students whose data was taken to conduct interviews. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the data from interviews conducted, it shows that in solving problems students do not understand the concept of addition and subtraction of integers, and it is difficult to convert story questions into mathematical models and the factors that cause difficulties experienced by students in solving problems are the lack of willingness to learn from within students. themselves, students are often lazy to learn mathematics, do not want to listen to the teacher's explanation when the lesson is in progress, students do not concentrate fully during teaching and learning activities, students are afraid to ask the teacher when they do not understand the material being taught, students always assume that mathematics is very difficult, students are not careful when working on questions.
