Abstract

The location of the research carried out in journal writing here is the KAREB Cooperative. KAREB KOPERASI is a company that provides tobacco redriying services. The KAREB Cooperative is a place where tobacco from many consumers is processed to then be made into cigarettes where the process takes place in the thresher unit in this cooperative, and the tobacco processing can last for approximately 15 hours, and this does not rule out the possibility of trouble on the machine used. Implementation of quality control related to quality standards determined by the company. Quality control seeks to reduce the number of defective products, ensure that the final product produced is in accordance with the company's quality standards and prevent product defects from escaping into the hands of consumers. So one of the methods used to control the quality of product defects is the six sigma method. The steps used in this method include research that provides data breakdown which includes presenting, analyzing and interpreting data. The data collection process was obtained from the results of interviews and discussions with KAREB Cooperative quality control .

Abstract

Supply chain management combines all parties involved in the manufacture of products, either directly or indirectly. A quality management tool known as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) has the ability to match the current state of a process by providing opportunities for improvement and reducing waste. To create a Value Stream Mapping (VSM), some building symbols are needed. Each symbol in VSM serves a different purpose and serves a different purpose. They also show the various stakeholders involved in the process and explain the processes that occur. Future State Value Stream Mapping shows the results of proposed improvements that can reduce Non Value Added by 37.84%. Based on the identification of the Home Industry Supply Chain process, the result of proposed future improvements that eliminate non-value-added time is expected to reduce the value to 37.84%.

Abstract

HSE is a system that must be owned by every company to ensure that operational activities carried out do not harm anyone. HSE is also known as K3, namely occupational health and safety. HSE itself stands for health, safety and environment. In order to achieve the objectives of the K3 program, various elements and resources need to be used, so that in the application of K3 it needs to be organized, and regulated into a K3 management system (SMK3). This study uses the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) Method is a series of hazard identification processes in routine and non-routine activities. HIRARC is an effort to prevent and reduce the potential for work accidents, avoiding and minimizing risks that occur appropriately by avoiding and minimizing the risk of work accidents and controlling them in order to carry out the process of activities so that the process becomes safe. Hazard identification, risk assessment and control are part of the risk management system which is the basis of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3), which consists of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control.

Abstract

Increasingly advanced technology encourages companies to improve machine progress to support the production process. Routine maintenance helps the production process run smoothly and machines are used more optimally. The use of machines that are not optimal is one of the factors that decreases machine productivity which will cause losses. One method that can be used is Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Determining the time of production loss can use overall equipment effectiveness as a metric in evaluating equipment that affects the total cost of production. The human factor is the cause of downtime, work fatigue causes negligence in operating the machine. Machine constraints include engine blockage, sugar tobacco causing the conveyor belt to break because the sugar crust sticks to the belt which causes it to break easily. Other influences from the environment, namely temperature, hot engine temperatures can cause overheating. Another thing is electrical interference, because most of the machines use electricity as their prime mover. In the threser unit in the KAREB cooperative there are many things that interfere with the effectiveness of the machine. OEE calculations in May 2022 obtained a value of 11.81% which is not in accordance with world class standards. This is due to the large amount of damage in that month which makes production effectiveness decrease. The quality value has a defect amount which has a value of 0%. The biggest downtime is in week 3 where there are many production processes so that the machine experiences problems.

Abstract

PT. Prima Sejahtera Graphics prints various types of packaging such as pharmaceutical, food and beverage packaging. The problem with today's business finished product storage policies is that each product type is organized according to a predefined pallet area. The empty pallet area creates a wide variety of products in the many types of packages they make. In this case, carriers often return goods based on how they were packaged. The amount of space available at the location of several types of products does not match the output of the final goods. In such a scenario, operators operate inefficiently, which increases the workload of warehouse personnel who have to clean incoming and outgoing products from the warehouse. The proposed method to overcome this problem is to improve the finished product warehouse using the shared storage method. The results of this study indicate that the placement process is carried out by arranging storage based on finished products according to the type of product and reducing the initial layout mileage of 418.5 m and the proposed layout mileage of 395.5 m.

Abstract

Raska Jaya Medika is one of company location in supplying Hemodialysis medical equipment packs located at Ruko De Farda RK-1, Jl. Keboan Anom Village, Keboan Hamlet, Keboananom, Kec. Gedangan, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. Hemodialysis Pack is a device to detoxifying the patient's blood to remove hazardous or poisonous metabolitic chemical substances. With high numbers of requests that move randomly, to minimize distances, it is necessary to improve effective delivery routes. The author also considers the use of only 1 fleet for comparative analysis in determining distribution routes. In this study, the sweep algorithm is implemeted for all client clusters and then continues mixed integer linear programming is used to minimize costs by finding the best route without exceeding vehicle capacity. that already exists, the mixed integer linear programming model can save Rp.451,719 or save 4.31% in expendicture. Meanwhile, the time saves 1.070% and the proposed distance is 1.018%.

Abstract

Risk management in the Occupational Health and Safety (K3) program provides a safe working environment essential to protecting employees. To improve the effectiveness of K3 risk management, the study proposes improvements using Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment methods. (HIRA). The study aims to identify potential hazards and evaluate the risks associated with hot work in the work environment. Using the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) approach, risks can be identified more effectively and enable companies to take appropriate action to improve the effectiveness of risk management in occupational health and safety programs. (K3). The research methods used include document analysis, field observations, interviews, and surveys. The collected data will be analyzed using HIRA methods that include identifying hazards, assessing risks, and making recommendations for appropriate risk control. The results of this research are expected to enhance our understanding of the potential hazards and risks associated with the workplace. The resulting improvement recommendations will help the company implement appropriate precautions and improve K3 risk management.
