Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to describe the parenting style that the parents had on their teenagers. This research was held in slum area of Penjaringan in DKI Jakarta. Total of 154 people became the participants in this research. This was a descriptive study that wants to explore the parenting style that parents implemented to their teenagers. Along with that we also explored about discipline and communication pattern and relation in family. We used questioners for information gathering and implemented observation, interview and focus group discussion. To analyze the data, we used a qualitative approach with a reflexive thematic analysis method. Most of the participant used authoritarian and permissive-indulgent parenting. Most of the fathers did not involve in their teenager’s live.The parents actually cared about their teenagers. Nevertheless, they implemented harsh communication style to their teenagers. The participants had  hope to be an ideal parent, but did not have any idea what to do. Further research needed to be done and actions had to be implemented in order to create a healthy and fully functioning family in the slum area of Penjaringan.  Keywords : Penjaringan, Slum Area, Discipline, Communication AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggambarkan pola pengasuhan yang diterapkan orang tua pada anaknya yang sudah remaja. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan kumuh Penjaringan di DKI Jakarta. Sebanyak 154 partisipan orangtua terlibat dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pola pengasuhan yang diterapkan orang tua pada anaknya. Sejalan dengan itu, peneliti juga mengeksplorasi pola disiplin dan komunikasi serta hubungan dalam keluarga. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner, observasi, wawancara dan diskusi kelompok kecil (focus group discussion) untuk pengumpulan data. Untuk menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis tematik reflektif. Sebagian besar partisipan orangtua menggunakan pola asuh authoritarian dan permissive-indulgent. Sebagian besar ayah dalam penelitian ini kurang terlibat dalam pengasuhan anaknya.. Sebenarnya para orangtuamengasihi dan peduli akan anak-anaknya. Namun demikian, mereka mengimplementasikan pola disiplin yang keras kepada anaknya yang remaja. Partisipan memiliki harapan untuk menjadi orang tua yang ideal namun tidak memahami bagaimana cara melakukannya. Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan dan berbagai aksi sebaiknya diterapkan untuk menciptakan keluarga yang sehat dan berfungsi dengan baik pada daerah kumuh Penjaringan. Kata Kunci : Pola Pengasuhan, Disiplin, Komunikasi Orang tua, Remaja, Kawasan Kumuh

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of peer tutor learning methods on mathematics learning achievement of seventh grades students of Al-Chasanah Islamic Junior High School, Jakarta. The hypothesis in this study, there is an effect of using peer tutoring methods on student achievement mathematics. The subjects in this study are the seventh grade students of Al-Chasanah Islamic Junior High School. The samples in this study are 20 students in class B. This study used the paired sample t-test technique to test the hypothesis. This study takes a confidence level of 95%, which means that if the t value is above 1.96 then the alternative hypothesis can be accepted. The result of t count in this study is 19.230, while the value of t table for the 95% significance level with df 19 is 2.093, then tresult > ttable,, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the peer tutor method on the mathematics learning achievement of seventh grade students of SMP Islam Al-Chasanah, Jakarta. Keywords : Peer Tutor Learning, Achivements, Seventh Grades Students, Mathematics. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode belajar tutor sebaya terhadap prestasi belajar matematika pada siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Al-Chasanah, Jakarta. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode tutor sebaya terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adlaah siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Al-Chasanah. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa yang berada pada kelas B. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik paired sample t-test untuk melakukan uji hipotesis. Penelitian ini mengambil tingkat kepercayaan sebesar 95% yang berarti jika nilai t diatas 1,96 maka hipotesis alternatif dapat diterima. Hasil t hitung pada penelitian ini bernilai 19,230 sedangkan nilai t tabel untuk tingkat signifikansi 95% dengan df 19 adalah 2,093. sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa t hitung> nilai t tabel, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh metode tutor sebaya terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Al-Chasanah, Jakarta. Kata Kunci : Metode Tutor Sebaya, Prestasi Belajar, Siswa SMP, Matematika

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to see the effect of organizational climate on job satisfaction on employees of the PT X Office, Bandung. This research is a non-experimental quantitative research using the ex post facto method. This research was using 63 samples respondent  who are permanent employees at the PT X Office, Bandung. The measuring instruments used are Job Satisfaction and Organizational Climate Questionnaire.The results showed that the organizational climate at the PT X Office, Bandung had a significant effect on job satisfaction. The influence that occurs between the independent variable and the dependent variable has a positive influence (96.8%). The positive effect can be interpretred that the higher favorable of organizational climate, the higher the job satisfaction that employees have. From 6 dimensions of organizational climate, the dimension that shows the lowest favorite value is the recognition dimension (71%) and the structure dimension (86.7%), the dimensions of responsibility and support are at the highest favorable level. Employees still have some dissatisfaction tendencies, namely in the dimensions of pay, promotion and opportunity. the highest satisfaction is the work its self and coworker dimensions.Keyword : Organizational climate, Job Satisfaction, employees Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh organizational climate terhadap job satisfaction pada pegawai Kantor PT. X Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan menggunakan  metode ex post facto. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 63 responden yang merupakan pegawai tetap di Kantor PT. X Bandung yang berstatus pegawai tetap. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.dan Organizational Climate Questionnaire.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organizational climate di Kantor PT. X Bandung memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap job satisfaction. Pengaruh yang terjadi  antara variabel independent dan variabel dependent tersebut memiliki pengaruh yang positif (96,8%) Pengaruh yang positif dapat diartikan bahwa semakin favourabel tingkat organizational climate maka semakin tinggi pula job satisfaction.  Dari 6 dimensi organizational climate, dimensi yang menunjukkan nilai favorabel paling rendah yaitu pada dimensi recognition sebesar 71% dan dimensi structure sebesar  86,7%, sedangkan dimensi  responsibility dan support berada pada tingkat favorable paling tinggi.  Para pegawai masih memiliki beberapa kecenderungan ketidakpuasan yaitu pada dimensi pay, promotion dan opportunites. Dari dimensi-dimensi tersebut didapatkan kepuasannya paling tinggi adalah dimensi work its self dan coworker. Kata kunci : Organizational climate, Job Satisfaction, pegawai

Abstract

AbstractChildren are often forced to follow their parents' wishes, which often leads to aggressive behavior, so that self-control is needed to minimize aggression. This research uses a quantitative approach. The population of this research is all citizens of Makassar who are married and have children. Determination of the sample using the krejcie table and Morgan with a total sample of 384 respondents. Methods of data collection through questionnaires with a Likert scale model, and hypothesis testing with simple regression analysis. The results of the study showed a significant negative effect of self control and communication skills on the aggression behavior of parents towards children in the city of Makassar. With the magnitude of the coefficient of determination or R Square. From the data analysis, the R Square is 0.07 or equal to 7%. This figure means that self control (X1) and communication skills (X2) simultaneously (together) affect the aggressiveness of parents to children in Makassar City by 7%. While the remaining 93% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The partial effect of self control is -0.172 and communication ability is -0.128, the coefficient is negative, which means that there is a significant negative effect between self-control and communication skills on the aggressiveness of parents to children. It means that the increased self-control and communication skills of parents, the more able to reduce the aggression behavior of parents towards their children.

Abstract

AbstractAcademic procrastination can cause several disadvantages to students. One of the effects of academic procrastination on students is the decrease of student performance. This study aims to determine academic procrastination os Surabaya coastal students. This study involved 194 private junior high school students un coastal area of Surabaya. Measurement in this study was using the academic procrastination scale compiled by researchers based on Ferraro’s theory. The academic procrastination scale has 15 valid items and the Cronbach alpha coefficient of the scale is 0.848. Data Analiysis was performed using descriptive statistical techniques. The result showed that most of the coastall students showed moderate academic procrastination. The aspect of academic procrastination that arose the most from the respondents were the aspect of delaying starting to work on assignments and doing other activities while doing the task.  Keywords:  Academic Procrastination, Coastal Students Abstrak Prokrastinasi akademik dapat menimbulkan beberapa kerugian pada siswa. Salah satu dampak prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa adalah menurunnya performa akademik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prokrastinasi akademik siswa pesisir Surabaya. Penelitian ini melibatkan 194 siswa SMP swasta di daerah pesisir Surabaya. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan skala prokrastinasi akademik yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori dari Ferrari. Skala prokrastinasi akademik memiliki 15 aitem valid dengan nilai koefisien cronbach alpha sebesar 0,848. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa pesisir menunjukkan prokrastinasi akademik dalam kategori sedang. Aspek prokrastinasi akademik yang paling banyak muncul dari responden adalah aspek menunda memulai mengerjakan tugas dan melakukan aktivitas lain dalam pengerjaan tugas. Kata Kunci: Prokrastinasi Akademik, Siswa Pesisir

Abstract

AbstractMistakes in choosing a course of study can make students decide to change study programs or even move universities. This mistake happened at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) where there were 13 students moved study programs from 2017-2019, where 85% of the reason was because the study program that had been taken was not his own desire and was not in accordance with students. The choice of study program is influenced by many factors, one of which is personality. Based on the big five personality theory, there are 5 personality dimensions, namely Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism (OCEAN). This study aims to compile an online test to measure the personality of prospective UPJ students whose results can provide recommendations for suitable UPJ study programs. Researchers also conducted a preliminary psychometric test study of this personality test. This online administration makes use of a Google Form linked to a Google Sheet to create a scoring system and interpretation of results. This personality test consists of 50 Likert scale formatted statements, where each dimension is measured by 5 statements, from "Disagree" (1) to "Agree" (5). The test-retest reliability coefficient with a duration of 1 week for the five dimensions ranged from 0.585 to 0.952, while the Alpha coefficient of each dimension ranged from 0.449 to 0.757. The results of the construct validity test using the group difference technique showed that there was no difference in GPA between students whose personality test results were in accordance with the study program's recommendations and students whose personality test results did not match the study program recommendations. The developments of this online personality test will be continued in order to obtain satisfactory results. Keywords : online test, personality, big five personality, prospective college students, validity, reliability AbstrakKesalahan dalam memilih program studi dapat membuat mahasiswa memutuskan untuk pindah pindah program studi atau bahkan pindah perguruan tinggi. Hal ini juga terjadi di Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) dimana tercatat ada 13 mahasiswa yang pindah program studi dari tahun 2017-2019, dimana 85% alasannya karena program studi yang telah diambil bukan keinginan dari diri sendiri dan tidak sesuai dengan dirinya. Pemilihan program studi dipengaruhi banyak faktor, salah satunya kepribadian. Berdasarkan big five personality theory, ada 5 dimensi kepribadian, yaitu Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, dan Neuroticism (OCEAN). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun tes online untuk mengukur kepribadian calon mahasiswa UPJ yang hasilnya dapat memberikan rekomendasi program studi di UPJ yang cocok. Peneliti juga melakukan studi awal pengujian psikometri terhadap tes kepribadian ini. Administrasi online ini memanfaatkan Google Form yang dihubungkan dengan Google Sheet untuk membuat sistem skoring dan interpretasi hasil. Tes kepribadian ini terdiri dari 50 pernyataan berformat skala Likert, dimana setiap pada dimensi diukur oleh 5 pernyataan, dari “Tidak Setuju” (1) hingga “Setuju” (5). Koefisien reliabilitas tes-retes dengan jangka waktu 1 minggu untuk kelima dimensi berkisar antara 0,585 hingga 0,952, sedangkan koefisien Alpha dari setiap dimensi berkisar antara 0,449 hingga 0,757. Hasil pengujian construct validity dengan teknik group difference menunjukkan tidak ditemukan perbedaan IPK antara mahasiswa yang hasil tes kepribadiannya sesuai dengan rekomendasi program studi dan mahasiswa yang hasil tes kepribadiannya tidak sesuai dengan rekomendasi program studi. Pengembangan tes kepribadian online ini akan dilanjutkan agar dapat diperoleh hasil yang memuaskan. Kata Kunci: online test, kepribadian, big five personality, calon mahasiswa, validitas, reliabilitas
